Day 11: Stories by the fireplace

*THIS IS WHERE THE UNNECESSARY ANGST BEGINS, I AM SO FUCKING SORRY I HAVE A PROBLEM*

Bakugou was curled into his boyfriend's lap, his face hidden in the boys chest. He'd just received a call from his father, getting news his mother was extremely sick. They didn't know if she'd make it. When he heard the news, Bakugou just crumbled to the floor, his heartbeat and breathing going off the rails. His head was spinning, nothing mattering anymore. Tears welled in his eyes, his hands pulling at his puffy blonde locks. He screamed. Uraraka heard him down the hall, quickly calling up Kirishima. The redhead rushed back to his and Bakugou's dorm, throwing the door open as soon as he made it. There he saw his boyfriend curled on the floor, tears streaming down his face. His hands still tugged at his hair, his whole body curled in on itself. Kirishima locked the door, calming squatting down next to his partner. He opened his arms, the blonde wasting no time. Jumping into the redheads arms, the blonde wrapped his legs and arms around his boyfriend, letting out a muffled sob. Kirishima felt his heart break, wrapping his arms tightly around the smaller blonde. Slowly standing back up, Kirishima carried Bakugou over to their bed, sitting down so his back was against the wall. That was now where they sat, Bakugou's sobs turning to sniffles slowly.

"Katsuki...what happened? Uraraka called me and told me you were screaming..." Kirishima muttered softly, running his fingers through Bakugou's soft blonde hair. The blonde just nuzzled his body further into his boyfriends, clinging onto him for dear life. He felt himself being pulled from reality, and if he let go of the redhead, he'd slip away. The redhead sighed, there was no way he was going to get this out of the blonde until he's calmed down. He then got an idea.

"Here Katsuki...let's go downstairs...no one will be down there...it's 2am." Kirishima muttered, watching as the blonde crawled off the taller boys lap. Tear tracks still ran down his face, his eyes red and puffy from all the crying. He looked awful, and Kirishima wanted to fix that. Bakugou was a strong, confident guy, but even he had a weak side. That side left him vulnerable at some moments, and in those moments, all Kirishima wanted to do was wrap the small blonde in his arms and tell him everything was going to be okay. He wanted to protect him from anything that could hurt him. Sighing softly, Kirishima grabbed the blondes hand, both boys walking down the stairs. The redhead knew that he couldn't protect him forever. Many, many things in this world could happen to the blonde, and Kirishima wouldn't be there to protect him. Things neither of them could control. So for now, while Kirishima still had the chance, he was going to hold the blonde close. He was going to do his damn best to keep the blonde the happy, confident guy that he his. The guy he fell in love with over a year ago.

"O-oi Eijirou...wh-hy are we d-down here?" Bakugou felt his voice cracking, deciding at this point he didn't give a damn. It was only Kirishima. The redhead turned to look at him before walking over to turn on the fireplace. Giving the room a tad more light, the fire place burned brightly as the redhead sat down on the couch. Kirishima patted his lap, gesturing his boyfriend to come sit with him. Bakugou took the offer, curling into the redheads chest once again. Sniffling softly, the blonde grabbed ahold of Kirishima's nightshirt. Kirishima let out a small sigh, wrapping his arms tightly around the small blonde. Then, he began speaking. A story. Kirishima was telling Bakugou a story. The words fell from the boys mouth, telling a tale of a strong young boy. Who had been through so much, who was slowly breaking apart at the seams. The young boy was going to give up, to just throw all his dreams and life away. That was, until he met another young boy. This boy took the other boys hand, and began to fix him. He started putting him back together. Making him see, there was a point in living. The story ended with both boys happily living together, both of them extremely happy by each others side. It was a story Kirishima's mother used to tell him a lot. This was when he was younger, and felt like he wasn't going anywhere. Now, it was his turn to pass the story on. He decided it was only right he told it to Bakugou. Maybe it would cheer him up, calm him a little too. When Kirishima looked down at the boy in his lap, his eyes were closed. He was fast asleep. Smiling, the redhead lifted his boyfriend up, carrying him back to bed. Kirishima didn't know what was wrong just yet, but at least he helped the blonde. Now they currently lay in bed, the blonde curled into the redheads chest. Kirishima smiled down at his boyfriend, kissing his forehead softly before falling into slumber.
