Chapter 11

The cold morning starkly contrasted the warm interior of her mother's house as Bobbi stepped through the front door. Resisting the heat radiating from inside, Bobbi kept her eyes straight, swinging her bag over her shoulder as she followed Alfie's form across the yard.

Bobbi stowed her suitcase in the back of the mini-van that had transported them to that driveway only a few days before. Then, sharing a quick glance with Alfie, they both exhaled their sighs as they walked the few paces back to where their mother stood. Marlene King waited near her own car, her dark silver hair pulled back in a loose bun with a few stray hair following down near her glasses. She set her own bag on the trunk of her car and pulled close her wool jacket, smiling wide, as her two children approached.

"Now are you sure you two actually have to leave this time? I mean, I'm fine having two completely dead-beat children who work at McDonalds if it means I get to see the two of you more."

Bobbi couldn't fight the laughter as it rose in her throat and her cheeks rose up to meet the first signs of tears as they threatened an appearance in the corner of her eyes.
Alfie shook his head as he moved in hug his mom.

"Trust me, Ma. We both wish we could stay."

Marlene's smile stayed wide as she shifted her gaze over to Bobbi, wrapping both arms tight around her daughter's shoulders as she pulled them close.

"Honestly, what kid of children are you? You come here to see me for a few days and then you're gone. It's just not fair. You know better than to have actual lives and careers apart from me. Why doesn't your universe completely revolve around me? That's what I want to know."

Bobbi gave her small frame one last squeeze before stepping back. Marlene kept a hold of her hand so she didn't go too far and grabbed a hold of one of Alfie's, her sights switching between the two of them as her dark eyes glowed bright with affection.
Alfie's laugh sounded through the early morning atmosphere and mixed the bright sounds coming from where Theo and his family stood several yards away.

"You know what?" Bobbi said. "You're right, mom. We should really just quit our job and spend all our energy making you happy."

"Well, it is the least you can do, Roberta, dear." Marlene said. "I did give you both life. Let's not forget that."

"I doubt you'll let us." Alfie said.

Their smiles did a good job keeping the mood light as Alfie and Bobbi stared at the image of their mother before them and soaked up every second they had left with her, the extra long weekend proving not long enough.

"Well, it looks like the Harris clan is wrapping up their goodbyes." Marlene said, glancing past Bobbi's shoulder to the neighboring driveway. "We can't let them beat us. Remember, you two." Alfie and Bobbi turned their head back from following Marlene's gaze. "Life's not a competition-"

"But always make sure you're the winner just in case." Alfie answered, cutting her off.

Marlene pursed her lips, trying to seem offended but her eyes only shone brighter.

"No one like a smart-ass, Alfred."

Alfie shook his head and laughed, leaning in for one last hug.

"You're right. I'm sorry, mom."

"Obviously. And you're forgiven."

Bobbi took the step forward again to receive her own last hug.

"Make sure you see me one last time before you leave again. I won't forgive you otherwise." Marlene said, gathering up her briefcase, "Keep in mind, there's always room at my house if this whole band thing doesn't pan out." She sent them back a wink as she opened her door.

"You say that and yet we bought you this house." Bobbi said.

Marlene shrugged.
"Semantics."

She started to climb in her car but turned back at the sound of her name. Theo broke from the huddle of people surrounding him and raced past Bobbi and Alfie to stop right in front of her.

"You really thought you could just leave with out saying goodbye?" Theo asked.

Marlene smiled up at him and placed her hand gently on his cheek before giving it a quick slap.

"Stay in line, Theodore. I would hate to have to kill you."

Theo laughed as he leaned down and wrapped his arms around Marlene's shoulders.

"Will do, Mama King."

The three of them waved as Marlene backed up out of her driveway and drove off.
With another round of final goodbyes to the Harris clan and promises to see them once more before they left, Kat called for everyone to pile in or get left behind.

Taking the same seats they had sat in on the way from the airport, Kat pulled the minivan out of the driveway and followed the route Marlene had just forged as they headed for the city.

It didn't take Alex long to command control of the room once she touched down in Boston. Kat had barely dropped Bobbi, Alfie and Theo off in front of their town house before Alex's own taxi showed up. She had everyone up the front steps and into the house before any of them could even say hi to Sam where he told leaning against the nearby lamppost.

Alex passed her bags off to Bobbi, who the. placed them in their guest bedroom on the third floor. By the time she had come back down, Alex was already barking orders and making her way through the main entrance and family room, back towards the kitchen and dining room.

She dropped a boy off at each room with a threat to make sure it looked spotless by the time she returned and sent Bobbi down stairs to the basement studio to do the same.
Within the hour Alex had the main portion of the house looking perfect, with the band neatly dressed and presentable. The knock at the door came just as Alex was attempting to tame the curls spiraling from Alfie's head.

"Bobbi, go open the door. That'll be Ryan."

Alex didn't get the chance to see the wide eyed look of annoyance Bobbi shot right back as she gave one last swipe at Alfie's hair before giving up entirely. Swallowing the early signs of frustration that came with being ordered around, in her own home no less, Bobbi fixed her set smile upon her face and reached for the handle. She heard hushed commands for the three boys behind her to stand in a straight line and felt a chuckle raise in her throat as a chill wind invaded the entryway with the door opening.

"Hi! You must be Ryan Beck."

Glancing up from his phone as she opened the door, the man standing out on her top step smiled when he met her eyes, his own bright with a wide smile contrasting his dark skin.

"Yep. That's me. Bobbi King, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a huge fan."

Bobbi accepted his hand, returning the firm and authoritative shake before stepping aside and letting him in out of the cold. Alex stepped up to greet the reporter and got things moving immediately. Bobbi turned back to find Alex's attempt to have the rest of the boys standing in a straight line had failed as Ryan shook hands with all the them, Theo leaning up from his stance against the wall and Alfie standing up from his perch on the arm of the couch.

After formal introductions were made all round, Alex lead everyone into the family room, setting Bobbi and the boys in their natural lineup on the couch with Ryan set across the way in one of the arm chairs set near the fire place.

Alex hovered in the entry way, pacing back in forth, doing her best to give the interview process space. Ryan seemed to pay know mind and kept an easy smile on his face as he set his recorded down on the coffee table between himself and the band, and took out his notebook from his bag, pencil in hand and questions ready.

******

"Thanks again for meeting with me. Rolling Stones is absolutely thrilled to have you guys on the cover for the coming issue."

Ryan statement was met with nods, affirmations and returns of they same sentiment.

"So, we've obviously did a cover piece on you guys before. Right as you guys were gaining traction and building a name for yourselves. Its now almost two and a half years later, and what we wanted to do with this interview is going to be a little bit different than the last one."

"How so?" Alfie asked. He sifted a bit and gave Bobbi a bit more space as he leaned against the arm rest. She was then able to shift a bit herself and provide Sam with room to stretch out his legs.

"Well, we're purposefully having this interview here in your hometown, in your house and all over, where ever you want to take me, so we can really get a timeline of what your lives of been like, how Wild Wallflowers came to be. From it's genesis to now."

Bobbi nodded along with the rest of the boys.

"Cool." Theo said.

"So where do we start?" Bobbi asked.

"From the beginning would be best. Bobbi, Alfie, Theo, you three are the original founding members of this band. How did you guys meet?"

The slamming front door rattled Bobbi's own as Alfie's feet and another pair pounded through the entryway downstairs.

"Bobbi, I'm home! I brought a friend over! We'll be in the garage!"

"Kay!" Bobbi called back down.

The two voices faded as another door towards the back of the house opened and shut. Bobbi turned up the music blasting through her CD player and let the sound of Fleetwood Mac's classic hits drown out any sound Alfie and his friend would be making downstairs.

As the last track finished up, only then did Bobbi glance up on the clock set on the wall opposite her single bed. The time reiterated the pain she felt in her stomach and set aside her social studies homework and headed downstairs. The vague noise of an attempt at music continued as Bobbi opened the fridge, pulling out all the ingredients to make a sandwich for dinner and for lunch at school the next day. The sound stopped and the garage door opened again.

"Grab me a soda, with ya?"

"Sure."

Alfie's response of was cut off as the garage door shut again.

"Hey."

With a voice not her brother's, Bobbi looked up at the newcomer as he leaned against the doorway into the kitchen. He already stood taller than her, presuming he was Alfie's age and two grades older than her in 8th grade. Giving a quick twitch of his head, his sweeping dark hair hanging down over his forehead shifted to the side and his bright green eyes became visible.

Bobbi gave him a quick smile, her lips still tight and pressed together. She glanced back down at the plate in her hand, stacked high with food, and where he stood in the doorway.

"I'm Teddy." He said.

"Bobbi."

He nodded and widened his already night smile as he stepped to the side.

"Nice to meet you, Bobbi."

It took a nudge in the ribs from Sam for Bobbi to notice that everyone was starting to stand up and head for the basement studio. She coughed away her bright smile and followed the rest of the group. She caught a quick glance and a smile from Theo as he pulled opened the wooden glass door and lead everyone inside.

"So, Theo, you and Alfie were school mates? You guys met in class." Ryan said, making sure his recorder was still within range.

"Yup. Gym class, I think. Right?" Theo glanced over to Alfie, who nodded in affirmation.

"Yeah. We didn't have anyone else to hang out with that year, because neither of us had friends in the period. But we vaguely knew each other so we kind of just banded together."

The five of them, Alex staying back at the base of the stairs, stood among the various guitars, basses and keyboards that filled the space. The dark wood paneling and foam encapsulating the room put a damped feeling on the conversation as they continued.

"So when did the band officially form?" Ryan asked.

Alfie, Bobbi and Theo exchanged quick glances before Alfie spoke for them.

"Not until a few years later, when we were all in high school."

Bobbi nodded as Theo spoke.

"I think the only reason we started playing together was because Bobbi got tired of hearing me and Alfie trying to sing."

The music wasn't cutting it anymore. Bobbi tried once more to crack up the volume on her CD player, hoping the sound of Paul McCartney's voice would drown out the sound of whatever Alfie was trying to do. Slamming her school text book shut on the dining room table, she stood up and wrenched open the garage door, letting in a blast of cold air as she did.

"Hey, Birdy!"

Bobbi flattered in her words and took a second to refocus her frustration on the noise level.

"Don't call me that." She shot back. Theo's smile dropped instantly.

"What? Why not?"

"What do you want, Bob?" Alfie said. He took a step back from where he had set up his mic stand, making sure to drag his amp chord along with him.

"You've gotta keep it down. I've got a huge math test tomorrow."

"Come on. It's not that loud. You're fine. You can always go up to your room if you want." Alfie said.

"Even there I won't be able to drown you guys out. I don't know who told you you should sing but they must have been deaf."

Bobbi could a slight of Theo's eyes going wide behind Alfie. His started to burst into laughter a second later. Alfie took a step towards her and, using his recent growth spurts, towered over her.

"Really? That's the best you can do?"

Bobbi stood up straight and did her best to seem intimidating as she stared up him, her neck nearly arched back.

"You sound like a dying water buffalo that needs to be put out its misery."

"Ooooh, bro! She got you!"

Bobbi glanced past Alfie and shot Theo a smile radiating the smallest degree of warmth. But only for a second before she glanced back up at Alfie. His hard expression held out for a long moment but then his smile broke through.

"Now, that's better! How else are you suppose to be dealing with those idiots at school if you don't learn to stand up for yourself? I find the more random and seemingly harmful insults, the better. Leave them confused and they won't mess with you."

Bobbi gave him a quick nod and a salute.

"Will do, sir. Now will you please, for the love of all pizza, stop singing? It's painful."

Alfie shook his head and scoffed, taking a step back towards his mic.

"Like you could do better."

Bobbi crossed her arms, a defensive position against Alfie's underestimation and the cool November chill.

"You wanna bet?"

"We played mainly school talent shows that first year." Theo said.

He hunched a bit, zipping up his jacket and leading the pack as they fought the cool wind and headed down the street. Alex instance that they drive around for the day was quickly thrown to the side when Ryan's equally stubborn instance to walk proved to be in the interest of the article. He seemed just as content to bundle up and walk around the city as Bobbi and the boys were more than happy to do, the opportunity for such an endeavor proving more and more rare as the years went on.

"Yeah. The biggest thing was saving up to get our garage soundproofed." Alfie said.

"Our neighbors didn't like us that much anyways. Alfie caused enough noise on his own. The band certainly didn't help." Bobbi added.

"I can't imagine I would be too pleased if a bunch of teens started a rock band in the house next door." Ryan said.

"Yeah. It was only because they liked my mother and her cookies at Christmas time that they didn't call the cops on us." Alfie said.

"But it taught us how to use blankets and quilts and pillows for a second rate job at sound proofing." Theo said.

"And that we needed to find a way to start making money." Bobbi said. "Our part time jobs weren't cutting it for any sort of equipment."

"And a drummer." Alfie cut in. "The number one thing our neighbors complained about was our lack of rhythm."

"You still barely have it." Sam said.

He was squinting behind his sunglasses as the bright spring sun shone down when Bobbi glanced over. But she saw a trace of a bemused smiled at the corner of his mouth as they crossed the street.

Bobbi stopped in front of the building just a few feet past the crosswalk, leaning back to glance up at the tall building. Its white store front ground floor shone bright and sparkled with rain drops from the night before. The two intersecting roads sent cars rushing by and sent that feeling of frenzy into the shoppers that swarmed around their small group. Theo came to stand a few feet next to Bobbi and sent her a wink when she glanced over towards him as Ryan kept talking behind them.

"So Sam is that where you came in?"

"No." Theo said.

Ryan turned back to face him.

"This is." Bobbi said, making sure to stand right at the corner of the building.

Bobbi stood at the doors of the bus, her hands gripping the leather strap that hung above her, mainly for something to do rather than for stability. Just as the white store front came into view and the Prudential center rose above it, Bobbi reached out and hit the yellow strip, her hand aching a little from the force but the urgency in her nerves numbing the pain. The bus had barely pulled to a stop and opened its door before Bobbi was out on the sidewalk, hustling at a full speed towards the designated corner.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Bobbi cried out as she slid towards where Alfie and Theo stood getting set up. The look on Alfie's expression caused Bobbi to cower a bit and spit out a few more 'I'm sorry's'.

"Glad you could make it, Birdy." Theo said, stepping up and passing Bobbi her mic, already hooked up to the amp. But not before he gave Alfie a neat smack on the arm and jerked him out of his fuming state of fury.

"It won't happen again. I promise. Study group just went longer than it was suppose to." Bobbi said once Theo had returned to setting up his own guitar.

"Make sure it won't or else you're out of the band." Alfie growled. He turned his back on a stunned Bobbi.

"Are you serious? You can't do that!" Bobbi cried out. "I'm sorry I still have to get my diploma. I'm not lucky like you two. I don't just have days where I don't have to go to class. It's kind of an every day thing."

Theo stepped between them as Alfie turned back.

"And it's kind of finals week for us, Bobbi. So don't push it. Both of you, calm down."

Theo gave another glance between the two of them before they conceded and returned to work.

"So who did you get to come?" Bobbi asked, glancing back from looking up at the sky as it started to darken from a lack of sun, the horizon orange over the river.

"Several friends from school said they'd stop by." Alfie said. "And there's a huge dorm for BU down the street that kids have to pass by here to get to."

Bobbi nodded.

"Theo, you talk to that sorority near your dorm?" She asked.

She swallowed the faint sense of blood she felt filling her cheeks and turning them red as she turned to look up at him. Theo chuckled and nodded.

"Uh, yeah. Nothing too bad. They all seemed very excited to come see me play."

Bobbi nodded and glanced down at her watch, the time reading two minutes to 7.

"Alright. Almost showtime. Let's huddle."

Alfie groaned but a sharp glance from Bobbi forced any noise to cease. Theo joined the other two as they came to stand in the center of the small triangle they had set up for themselves among their equipment. Bobbi took a deep breath and looked up at the boys, resting her arms on their shoulders and feeling the weight of their own as they did the same.

"Alright, Fidgets. Let's do this. Boston House of Blues. TD Garden. Madison Square."

Alfie's scoff barely made it out of his throat before both Theo and Bobbi shot his glaring looks. He stared down at his shoes and shook his head in silence instead.

"Let's rock."

They took positions and started precisely at 7, their music filling the sidewalk and the air above it as it had every Wednesday night for the previous six weeks. The noise caused most passersby to look on but few actually stopped to listen.

A tall blonde guy, taller than both Theo and Alfie, found them five minutes into their set, stepping up onto the curb from the crosswalk and stopping right in front of where they were playing. He stood there, with his arms across his chest, and listened as they finished their set. A few other audience members came and went, a far amount of them young and female and making eyes at the guitarist. When Bobbi let out the last note and the three of them bowed to their nearly non-existent audience, they got one round of applause. Turning back from setting aside their instruments. The three of them glanced at each other as the blonde stood clapping.

"You guys need a drummer?" He asked.

"Yes!" The three of them responded instantly.

********

Bobbi was pulled from the crowd by a strong hand gripped around her arm and followed it outside. The rest of their group was already standing out on the sidewalk, warm cups of coffee in hand to held fend off cold as the sky grew dark.
Bobbi gave one last wave to the group inside the coffee shop but turned forward and started walking as soon as the cold breeze of the late afternoon hit her face. A few of the ecstatic occupants followed them outside but gave up once they realized Bobbi and the rest were moving on, the quota for selfies and signatures having been sufficiently fulfilled.

Theo had dropped his hold on Bobbi's arm once Ryan had looked over from his conversation with Sam and nodded that they continue on. But he kept a firm hand on her back until their fans had given up following them.

Bobbi got the chance to smile a small thank you up at him once they reached the next crosswalk and the group prepared to crossed. He sent her a sweet smile and a quick wink back before following the rest.

Alex led the pack this time, her long and determined stride keeping her always a few feet in front of the rest. Ryan seemed content to keep himself surrounded by the band and did a good job keeping the conversation going between the five of them as they walked.

"Okay. So we've seen everything today it feels like. We've got the street corner where you used to perform, the bar you guys had your first paying gig, even the college where you guys got discovered while playing frat parties. What's next?"

Sam pointed a head as they rounded the corner and a large square building came into view.

"There." He said.

Everyone followed his gesture, the majority already knowing where they were headed and pausing to enjoy the view as the TD Garden Basketball arena loomed over them. Ryan turned around and stopped dead just as the rest did. His sense of propriety kept his mouth from hanging open completely. But Bobbi could seen his eyes widen a bit and he had a quick second where he had trouble locating his next sentence.

"There. We're going in there?"

Everyone nodded and Alfie let out a muffled chuckled as he shook his head. Theo shook his head and smiled as Ryan looked between each of them.

"Come on." Bobbi said, leading Ryan forward to follow where Alex had already headed. "You gotta see this."

The air was much colder 160 feet up and every one instinctually wrapped their arms around themselves as they stepped out onto the roof. The sun was just about to say goodnight for the day and dropped below the horizon past the river and where Cambridge lay beyond. The skyscrapers all around were glowing warm in the orange sunset light and their illuminated windows became more visible as each minute passed.
Alex shook the hand of the guard that held the door open for them.

"Hey, Theo." Alfie called over the wind. Theo looked back from where he and Bobbi had instinctually wander towards the furthest edge.

"What?" Theo called back. He moved a bit more back with the group and nodded for Bobbi to follow. She took from last look of the view and complied.

"Imagine actually doing something like this with Alex's permission." Alfie said, laughing.

"It would be a first." Sam said.

Ryan turned from absorbing the view towards the rest of the group.

"There's no way you guys went from playing free college party gigs to headlining at the Garden."

"We didn't." Alfie said. "That would be a feat even we could be able to manage."

"Okay." Ryan said. "What's the significance of this place then? Why have you brought me up here?"

Bobbi and Theo exchanged a quick glance, their faces nearly bursting with a smile as they tried their best to contain the memory, glancing down at their feet respectively to hide their expressions.

"Thank you so much! We are the Wild Wallflowers! Good night!"

Bobbi stood up straight again and the weight of the boys arms fell from her shoulders. She didn't bother to move as the crowd in front of her continued to scream. Only when the sound of her name inside her in-ear became louder than the crowd did she send one last wave out into the massive arena and head, begrudgingly, backstage.

The crew was already wrapping up their equipment and setting things aside to make way for the main act as she hurried among the moving parts and past the tall black curtain. As she stepped down and out of the way of the bustling crowd, she was immediately wrapped up in a tight hug. Theo's cologne still hung on him, even after an hour long set. Just as Bobbi's shoulders relaxed and her arms tightened around his waist, her smile growing somehow even wider, Alfie crashed right into them, wrapping his arms around them both. Sam only joined in once the pleas of his bandmates grew to an alarming volume.

"We did it!" Alfie screamed, right in Bobbi's ear.

Breaking apart, Theo stayed close by as Alfie started to bounce, slightly at first then near to full on jumps within a minute.

"We gotta go." Alfie said, glancing each which way.

"What?" Bobbi said. "Why? 12 Captains is just about to perform! It's the last show, we've gotta watch!"

Alfie shook his head, his hands shaking as his body seemed near to bursting.

"No. We gotta go somewhere. Do SOMETHING! We've seen that set almost every night for the last 6 months."

"Okay. Okay. What do you have in mind?" Theo asked.

Sam started to glance around as well, his eyes searching among the moving crowd backstage.

"Follow me." Sam said.

He started moving towards the nearest wall, a door set along it. Bobbi, Alfie and Theo did even bother glancing at each other for confirmation and obeyed. Alfie caught sight of Sam's destination and hurried forward to help lead.

The cool summer breeze blowing strong felt cold as the four of them stepped out of the stairwell. It was a pleasant comparison to the sweat box down stairs and each took a deep breath as they moved further onto the roof. Alfie passed Sam and rushed towards the edge, hopping onto the concrete ledge the encircled the area.

"Alfie! What are you do-"

Before Bobbi could finish her question, Alfie turned his mischievous bright smile out onto the glowing cityscape before them, leaned his head back and screamed.
The sound barely made a dent in the din of the never ending traffic passing by and the wind carried away most of his effort. But the sight of all his excess energy and excitement being released out into the air caused the rest of his bandmates to join him on the ledge and scream out as well.

"I love you, Boston!" Theo screamed.

Bobbi laughed and tried her best to join in, her voice already hoarse from the show but her enthusiasm far from lacking.

"We did it!" All four of them yelled together.

With a final "Woah!", raising both fists up in the air, Alfie hopped down from the edge and ran back towards the door.

"We gotta go! Before Alex comes looking for us!" He cried out over his shoulder.

Sam hopped down and Bobbi made to follow them.

"Birdy! Wait!"

Bobbi barely heard Theo as the wind rushed and wound around them but turned as her ears had become instinctually toned to his voice.

Theo stepped down from the ledge and took a step towards Bobbi, closing the distance between them, all within a quick second. Bobbi barely registered his movements as her mind was suddenly occupied with the feeling of Theo's arms around her waist and her own around his neck. Her feet rose instinctually and his leaned down to meet her lips with his.

Fireworks erupted from the roof and the legendary Fourth of July proceedings seemed to have begun at that exact instance on a delayed schedule of 4 weeks. When Theo stood back up and smiled down at Bobbi, his eyes and smile glowing in the dim moonlight, the show continued and Bobbi only realized the date and lack of actual fireworks when they returned downstairs to a curious Alfie and Sam, wondering where they had been.

Theo and Bobbi composed themselves enough to glance back up and shrug at the same moment as Ryan looked from Sam and Alfie towards them for an answer.

"Best view of the city?" Bobbi offered.

Theo coughed lightly and Bobbi caught a glance of his lips pressing tighter together as he tried to speak.

"Yeah." He finally said. "Great view."

"We came up here after our first show headlining here at the Garden to let out a bit of steam." Alfie said.

He hurried towards the edge and jumped up. Placing his hands in his pockets, he stared out at the city, seeming as if no time at all had passed in those three years, as though he was still that kid stoked to be home and doing what he loved, not that well known but just as excited to be alive.

"It was after our show as openers." Sam corrected, breaking Alfie's reminiscent moment at the edge of the world.

"Was it?" Alfie asked. He turned back and rejoined the group.

"Sam's right." Bobbi said.

"Are you sure?" Alfie asked.

"I'm pretty sure I'd remember." Bobbi said. She dared a glance up at Theo, finding his expression matching her own glowing one, then turned back to the group. "We went out and got our tattoos after our headlining show."

"Oh yeah! That's right." Alfie said.

Ryan shivered a bit as the temperature continued to drop.

"What's this about tattoos?" He asked.

He started to head back to the door in hopes the rest would follow. They did but slowly as the conversation continued.

"After our last show of our first world tour here at the Garden, we ran out in the middle of the night and got our first tattoos." Theo said.

"Well, me and Theo did. Sam and Alfie chickened out." Bobbi said.

"Where did you guys go?" Ryan asked.

"Sam knew a guy. Pacco. We go there every time now. His shops just down the street." Theo said.

He quickly gestured towards down the street before stepping through the door and back into the heated stairwell.

"And you guys couldn't take me there instead of this freezing rooftop?" Ryan said, laughing.

"Well, he's only open on Thursdays." Theo said, shrugging.

Bobbi was the last to enter and let the door to the outside slam behind her.

"And where would be theadventure in that?"
