Little Caesar

"Hold on to your hats, guys n' gals! We got ourselves a sweet gig tonight!" Paul announced one morning after Eric and I declared our feelings for each other. "The setlist set in stone, yet? Encore: Little Caesar (Eric)

"Yes! Eric, you didn't tell me you were doing "Little Caesar", you sneaky Fox!" I exclaimed happily. "Surprise! I knew you'd love it!" he said with a grin, picking me up and spinning me around. When he finally put me down, I caught a glimpse of the date: August 30, 1984. Wait, what!?!? There's no way...there is just no way. Did...did I go back in- I don't even wanna say it! "What in the name of Beth is going on here?!?" I yelped suddenly. "What's the matter, honey?" Eric asked gently, looking at me with concern. "Get me a calendar or a newspaper, Eric! Quick!" I cried. I gotta make sure I'm not going crazy... He came running back a few minutes later with that day's newspaper; sure enough, the same year glared back at me: 1984. I looked frantically into Eric's eyes before my legs turned to jelly and I collapsed onto the couch. "Suzy, are you ok?" he asked, worry creeping into his voice. I turned to face him as he sat down next to me, gently wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"Eric, you're not going to believe this, but...remember when you found me and I had that gash on my forehead? I got knocked out somehow...while I was at a KISS concert. In 2021. I think I got knocked out so hard that it literally sent me back in time!" I wailed, trying and utterly failing at not sounding hysterical. "Ok, first of all: take a breather for a minute, mia bella! You're gonna hyperventilate if you're not careful." Eric said soothingly, rubbing my back. "Second: how in the  name of all things rock and roll did something like that happen!?!" he asked in disbelief. "I don't know, Eric. I really have no idea." I replied, looking hopelessly at him.

"Hey, Romeo and Juliet! Sorry to interrupt, but- whoa, is everything all right?" Paul asked, noticing my panic-stricken look as he came into the room, followed by Gene and Bruce. "Well, it seems that my pretty little vixenette has gotten herself into a bit of a jam. You guys might wanna sit down for this one..." Eric then told them what I had just discovered; after more than a few minutes of shocked silence, Paul was the first one to speak. "Ok, wow. I've heard some crazy stuff over the years, but boy does this take the cake! Lemme get this straight: you met ME and GENE at one of our concerts...37 years in the future?!?" he exclaimed, staring at me like he knew that either he or I had to be totally nuts. "You got it, Paul. Somebody actually knocked into me and you caught me!" I said, grinning sheepishly at him; he slumped back in his chair, totally shellshocked, running a hand through his long black hair.

"Don't get me wrong, doll. I'm glad you're ok and that this knucklehead was lucky enough to find (and fall for) you, but we still got a show to do. Looks like you'll have to hang tight with us for a while, at least until we figure out a gameplan. And from the sound of things, we're gonna need one heck of a plan." Gene added, playfully ruffling Eric's hair. "I don't care how long it takes. As long as I'm with the Fox, I'm home." I said, quietly resting my head on his shoulder and losing myself once again in his dark chocolate-brown eyes. "And with that, it's time to get this show on the road, people!" Paul exclaimed suddenly, sharing a smirk with Gene and Bruce. I'm finally gonna get to see my Fox play! Nobody pinch me!

The place was packed. I was standing in the third row from the front, dead center with Eric's kit. I decided to surprise him by wearing an orange blouse and black pants with his famous Fox necklace on a gold chain around my throat, complemented perfectly by just the slightest touch of light orange eyeshadow. "Hey, people! You ready to rock n' roll!?!" Paul's trademark yell rang out into the air; the deafening roar of the crowd answered him, myself included. They rocked the place like only they could: hard and fast. I couldn't tear my eyes away from Eric; he was possessed with the wild spirit of pure rock and roll. The thunder that exploded from his drums almost drowned out the screaming of girls who were infatuated with him. He's mine! Sorry I'm not sorry. When he jumped up onto his kit after his solo, we locked eyes with each other. He winked and I grinned like crazy.

After the show, I hung around backstage to wait for the guys. "You were amazing, Fox!" I exclaimed as he came running towards me. "And you look amazing!" he said, lifting me up into the air and spinning me. "You look more beautiful than ever tonight. In fact..." he began, setting me back on the ground. Before I could say or do anything, he was on one knee and holding a small black box. "Suzy, I'm crazy about you. I knew you were the one for me the second I laid eyes on you that night. Will you make me the happiest guy in the world? Will...will you marry me?" he asked earnestly, his eyes consumed with love, brighter than I'd ever seen them. "Yes! Omigosh, YES!!! I will marry you, Eric Carr!" I cried, springing into his arms as he placed the ring on my finger. "You've been playing the soundtrack to my heart ever since we found each other, Eric. You're forever my drummer boy." I whispered in his ear as tears of joy poured down my cheeks. "And you're forever my melody." he whispered back as we swayed gently. Suddenly, he lifted my head gently from his shoulder and I felt my lips crash powerfully against his; I tangled my fingers deep into the curls of his fluffy brown hair. Don't you dare get a haircut, Eric Carr.

"Ooo-kay...forget the concert, this was the real show!" Bruce laughed as Paul and Gene hounded Eric playfully. This is easily the best night of my life.
