Alec's POV

  I woke to a beautiful sight beside me. Magnus was laying next to me still asleep, his face was relaxed and his lips were slightly parted. His arm was flung across my shoulder, I gently grabbed it and put it in the bed. I untangled myself from the canary yellow sheets and got up and went to his bathroom. His bathroom was a lot simpler than his room. The walls were blue and in the corner stood a shower with cloudy glass, near it was the toilet, and towards the front of the bathroom was a countertop sink with different types of gels, makeup, other hair products, and his glitter. I splashed some water on my face and washed out my mouth(I had to do something to at least get rid of some of the morning breath until I got home), and ran my hand through my hair smoothing it down. I dried my face on a purple towel he had on the countertop.

  I walked out of the bathroom and went to grab my shirt. I slipped it on over my head and walked over to Magnus. It was 5:30, good if I wasn't at the institute early then people would see me walk in and get suspicious. I kneeled down beside him and placed a kiss on his cheek, I got back up and turned around until he grabbed me by my wrist. "Alec, don't go" he said groggy still half asleep.

  "Magnus, I would love to stay but I can't, I need to get home or people will start to wonder what happened to me" He sat up, his cat eyes looking into my sapphire blue ones. He leaned up and kissed me only to then lie back down.

  "Come visit soon okay?"

  "Yes Magnus" I kissed him again then got up and walked out of his apartment. When I was outside I took another look at his building then walked to the institute not wanting to leave.

  I opened the large doors to the institute hoping it wouldn't creek loud enough to wake people up. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two people, one I was glad to see the other not so much. First I saw Church, which I was glad to see, I bent down a stroked his gray fur. The second person I saw was Jace, casually sitting on the couch wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. "Ah so you finally decided to get up" he said in a sarcastic tone.

  "What are you doing up so early?"

  "Oh nothing, I just went to your room a few minutes ago just to not find you there, and here you are opening the doors."

  "Jace, it's nothing don't worry about it."

  "You said you were going for a walk last night, you never came back until now, so what's her name?" a large grin has spread across his face.

  "Jace I said it was nothing, just I went to visit...er...Simon to see how he was coping with all this and I ended up passing out on his couch." I was praying to the angel he believed me even though I know I'm a terrible liar.

  "I see, well whatever I'm going to order takeout from takis before Isabelle gets up." and with that he stalked out of the room.

  I walked up to my room and into my bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. After I was done I changed into some lighter jeans, a dark gray t-shirt, and a black sweater, by now it was 8:40. I walked into the kitchen to find Isabelle and Jace standing around. Jace was wearing what I saw him in earlier and Isabelle was in a red shirt with ruffles and black pants.

  "So Alec, how was your night" Isabelle said with a wink.

  "It was alright, just slept through the night"

  "Supposedly at Simon's, he said he was making sure he was coping well and passed out"Jace cut in.

  "Oh really Alec? well that's nice of you" Isabelle said with a smirk. The rest of the next hour had been long and awkward eating out takeout in silence, trying to see when is my chance to leave and visit Magnus. 

  "Oh Alec, did Hodge tell you, mom, dad, and Max might be coming home today" Isabelle said.

  "That's great, it's been so long since we've seen them and Max" We finished our food and I went out of the kitchen to the front doors. "Oh where do you think your going" I heard Isabelle yell.

  "Just on a walk"

  "Oh really and what really happened last night at Simon's, or was it really Simon, or did you just stay with Magnus after your date" she wiggled her eyebrows at me.

  "Iz, nothing happened I simply slept there."  

  "So your not denying that you were at Magnus's."

  "Keep your voice down please, text me if mom and dad come home."

  "Will do brotha." I opened the doors and stepped into the light. The sun was high in the sky for 10:13 with the familiar sounds of traffic and taxis engulfing me. I took the usual route to his apartment and came up to a familiar black door. I pushed the buzzer waiting for the door to open but no more than a few seconds later the door is opened. I step and and walk up the cherry oak stairs and knock on Magnus's door, the door swings open for me to find Magnus wearing a silver tank top, blue pants and barefoot, and a werewolf girl on his yellow leather couch. "FOR THE LAST TIME I'M NOT SUMMONING A DEMON JUST TO TORTURE YOUR EX" Magnus was screaming at her.

  "But-"

  "No buts get out, I don't feel like dealing with you anymore." The werewolf girl got up from the couch and didn't even notice me standing beside the door. Magnus ran a hand through his hair "Gosh, clients are getting more and more ridiculous everyday, Alexander come have a seat."

  "Thanks, and I would prefer if you don't call me Alexander, it's just Alec."

   "Alec, do you want anything to drink." He didn't even let me answer before there was a chai latte in my hand, I set it on the glass coffee table. "Did you steal this?"

  "If I makes you feel any better I'll put and nice tip in the jar next time I go" 

  "Sure you will" I slightly laughed and smiled.

  "You have a beautiful smile you know that right, you should use it more often." He bent down and place a light kiss on my lips. I could see his face much better now and noticed the blue eye liner that ended in a wing at the end, silver glitter, and his lips were glossy.  "You really are beautiful" the whispered in my ear and kissed me again, this time more passionate. He pulled away and grabbed their tv remote and pressed the red button on the front of the remote. It switched on playing what not to wear and he smiled. "Do you only watch reality shows?" I said not so seriously.

  "Hey I like some good shows, like The Walking Dead, Sherlock, Dexter"

  "Good to know, any of those playing at the moment?"

  "Sure" and he switched on The Walking Dead. I played my head on his chest and we proceeded to watch zombies die.  in the middle of the show and small, white piece of fuzz started clawing at my jeans. "i see you've met the chairman, my cat" he muffled a laugh with his hand.

"Are you sure this is a cat? He's so tiny, but he's cute, what did you say his name was? I picked up the white cat and started stroking its pink ear, it was looking at me with eyes that resembled Magnus's.

"Chairman meow, don't I come up with the best cat names, I used to have one named the great catsby" He moving his and on top of mine that was on chairman meow. My phone rudely interrupted our little section here. I took it out to see that it was a text from Izzy it read "ALEC, COME HOME NOW, MOM AND DAD ARE HERE." I put it away and got up. "Sorry Magnus, I have to go" I kissed him before I took chairman out of my hands and bolted out of his door. I ran to the institute as fast as I could without the help of runes. I made it to the institute in record time just to find Isabelle waiting for me there. "Thank the angel your here just in time, they're in the library, they want to talk to you, sorry to pull you away from your time with Magnus.

  "Iz, it's okay I'll go now" I walked to library to find my mom and dad standing next to a desk. My mom went up and hugged me and my dad did the same. They said that it was good to see me after so long. "Iz said you wanted to talk to me" My mother responded to my question.

  "Yes, Alec, now that you're 18 you can now work with the clave and we think we should introduce you to the downworlders that work closely with us, sadly we couldn't get the seelie queen to come today neither the head of the New York vampire clan, but the and the high warlock is here, and you've already met the werewolves pack leader. High warlock? Magnus is here? Before I could processes all of this Magnus appeared beside my parents wearing what he was earlier but he had blue converse on now. "Yes Alec, this is Magnus Bane, high warlock of Brooklyn. Magnus stepped forward extending his hand. I I grabbed his hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you, Alec." He said in his usual deep, velvety voice. The next voice I heard was my mother's again.

  "Of course, now Alec the clave would like for you to stay on good terms with the downworlders as some may save your life some day, you both may leave now if you please" I walked towards the door and I heard Magnus behind me. When we were outside and no one could see us I started to talk. "When did you get here? Did you know about this?"

  "No I didn't, and a few minutes after you left I got a fire message saying to come here, and why would I pass up a chance to see my beautiful boyfriend." I was slightly taken back at this. Boyfriend. I did like being with him but I was afraid of getting hurt someday, but I do want to be with him as long as possible. "Are you going to go back with me to my apartment or are your going to stay?"

  "Magnus, I would love to go back with you but I can't because my parents and brother just got back and I don't think they would be very happy if I just left, sorry." He told me he understood why I couldn't leave and he looked around to check if anyone was around and kissed me lightly. He pulled away and walked towards the doors of the institute and before he opened them he turned around and said goodbye then vanished behind the large doors. I went upstairs to look for Max since I haven't seen him in a long time.

Magnus's POV

  I went back to my apartment wishing that Alec had come with me, but you do what you can. I walked into my apartment and sunk down on the yellow couch and snapped the tv on to find a marathon on America's next top model on, I've seen almost all the episodes but I couldn't get enough of this show. My relaxing with too thin models was cut short by the buzzer going off at my door. "WHO DARES DISTURB THE HIGH WARLOCK" I roared to the point where I'm sure whoever is out there could hear me, there was no response so I just buzzed the person in and walked outside to see who it was. In the doorway stood at tall girl with flowing black hair, and wearing quite fashionable red shirt and black pants, she seemed familiar but I can't quite remember. She looked up at me and ran up the stairs to meet me. "Your Magnus Bane, right?" She said with a bit of uncertainty in her voice.

  "The one and only, what can u do for you  you'd lady?"

  "I'm Isabelle Lightwood, Alec's sister and I just came to talk to you" Ah so that's where I remember her from, I saw her the day of my party.

  "Yes darling, what must you ask"

  "You are Alec's first person he's ever been in a relationship with, and if you hurt him in any way shape or form, I will not hesitate on killing you, he is my brother and I love him dearly and you have lived a long time so don't try pulling anything on him"

  "Isabelle, you don't have to worry about anything, I care for your brother and I don't want to hurt him, oh wait a second" I ran into my apartment and grabbed Alec's chai latte he left here. "If you don't mind giving this to your brother for me he left it here earlier" she gave me an odd look as if I was going to bite her. "What? you want one too?" I snapped up another one and handed it to her. She told me goodbye and went out the door. I stood there for a second before I went back into my apartment"
