SHE HAD BEEN BORN FROM A DROP OF SUNLIGHT mixed with the rich soil of the Earth. From the moment she had opened her eyes, she had fallen in love with the planet where life blossomed underneath her feet. And, she had vowed to protect Earth and its creatures from all that wished it harm. She had a thousand names, changing from century to century, from culture to culture. But, she had become known as Gaia to most ━━ the Mother of Earth.

Beasts roamed the Earth, ones that wanted to destroy everything that had been built. Gaia tried her best to keep her beloved planet shielded from them, but they proved to be worthy foes. When the Eternals came in 5000 BC, she had felt it and welcomed them in Mesopotamia. They came of promises, wanting to protect the planet from the beasts they called Deviants. Gaia had been happy to accept their help, having the only goal of keeping Earth safe.

But, promises are rarely kept. After spending centuries together, they had all gone their separate ways. Gaia became Rosalie Porter to blend with the humans, doing her best to keep the Earth safe from the shadows. When the Avengers needed help with Thanos, Gaia had been there. She had mourned the loss that Earth had felt, broken at the misery the Infinity Stones had left in their wake. She had been there when Bruce Banner had brought back the ones they had lost. She had been there when Tony Stark had sacrificed his life to save the planet from Thanos.

With the world back in balance, Gaia believed she could rest. But, another threat comes to Earth, one that had been hiding deep within its core. So, Gaia has no choice but to face the ghosts of her past to save the planet she adored.

NOTE.
Welcome to this book! I watched Eternals and I just knew I had to write a fic about it, so Somebody I Used to Know was born! Fun fact, this used to be my Karen Page fic but I know I will never write it so I repurposed it into this fic! I reconsidered the love interest several times before settling on Sersi! So, this book will be revamped! But, luckily, I never got very far into the book so it will be easy to rewrite! I feel like Sersi would be a much better fit for Gaia and it would be very cute!

I absolutely adore Gaia! She is one of the kindest souls but she is so fierce when it comes to protecting Earth. It's her baby and she has such an attachment to the planet and its people that she would do anything to protect it. She has been involved much more than the Eternals, so the Avengers do know who she is! Our girl was definitely fighting Thanos alongside them. 🥺

I changed my layout for this book from my others and I am not sure how I feel about it yet! But, I will try it out for now and see if it sticks! I was getting tired of my old one because I have had it since 2017 with tiny changed throughout the years. 💀

❝MADE OUT OF STARDUST.❞ — Somebody I Used to Know is a book in my Marvel Series. It will lay down the basis for many of the other fics in the series, especially ones that will come after Eternals. However, I will most likely have this book go through films that involve the Eternals only! But, it is likely Gaia will make appearances in other novels of mine or characters from my other Marvel fics will make appearances in this one!
