"Ow! A hard check into the board. That has to hurt!" Hailee heard a boy commentate as she made her way towards her boyfriend.

"Hey, babe. What happened?" She asked him, noticing the jocks walking away.
"Nothing," Luis lied, throwing his arm around her. "how was your first class?"

Hailee groaned. "Don't even get me started. I have a practise test every Monday, a real test every Wednesday, an exam on Friday and on top of that, she can set us a test whenever she feels like it too."
Luis laughed. "She sounds great."
"Tell me about it." Hailee rolled her eyes.

"Wow, this place is great!" Charlie exclaimed as he stood in between Connie and Hailee, looking at their new ice rink.

"This is a nice rink!"
"Hot dog."
"It's huge."

"You know, I bet they even have a snack bar here." Goldberg said.
Hailee chuckled. "Don't think too much of this place, Goldberg."

"Big deal." Fulton remarked.
"They look pretty good." Luis spoke up.
"They sure won a lot of championships." Julie added.

"They're huge!"
"They're not so hot."

"Come on guys, we can skate out there." Connie stated.
Hailee rolled her eyes. "Exactly! Now let's stop with the comments and get out there.

"If it isn't Captain Ducky." A jock mocked as they entered the rink.
"Get your hands off him." Fulton scowled.

By now, the rest of the team had joined him. "Ooh, look. A Bash Brother. I'm so scared!" His friends chuckled.

"Break it up!" Wilson interjected. "Come on, men, let's go."

"How about it, Cowboy? Round up?" Charlie asked Dwayne.
"Hey, Charlie, shouldn't we wait for the new coach before we mess around?" Connie suggested.
"This is how we practise. Duck hockey, Connie. You'll have to get used to it sooner or later." Charlie turned back to Dwayne. "Well, come on, Cowboy. Hit it."

Dwayne grinned. "Yee-haw! Round 'me up, doggies!"

Hailee and The Ducks skated around the ice rink, trying not to get roped by Dwayne, who was constantly yelling, "Yee-haw!"

Hailee skated over to Luis and grabbed his hand, but he backed away.
"Woah, what's up?" She questioned.
Luis chuckled and tutted his head. "Nothing, babe. I've just got a few tricks in mind."

Hailee, who wasn't convinced, cocked a brow.
"Yee-haw!" Dwayne hollered as he threw the rope around Hailee. "Stopping's a big mistake. You're out, darlin'!"

Hailee chuckled and skated towards the bench, joining Ken and Julie.
She watched Luis skate around - he wasn't trying anything new at all. Feeling a little uncomfortable and saddened, she put a smile on her face and continued to watch the game go on.

The sound of a whistle blowing distracted The Ducks.
Hailee got up from the bench and skated towards the group.

"My name's Coach Orion. You can call me 'Coach', or 'Coach Orion'." He stated.
Charlie held out his hand. "Well, you can call me 'Charlie'."
The Ducks chuckled.

"That must be what the 'C' on your jersey stands for, huh?" Coach Orion questioned. "It sure doesn't stand for 'captain'."

"Sorry, Coach. We were just messin' with you, you know?" Russ told him.
"Hey, Bombay gave him that 'C'." Goldberg spoke.

"And I respect that, but that's the past. This is my team now and I'll be selecting the captain."

Hailee looked over at Connie, who bit her lip. "Damn." Hailee whispered.

"You gotta be kidding me, right? I mean, you're the rookie here." Charlie sassed.
"We've all been here for four years." Hailee spoke up.
"Yeah." The Ducks said in unison.

"Okay, Charlie, laps. Right now." Coach Orion looked over his shoulder at Hailee. "You too."
"Uh oh." Connie muttered.

"Seriously?" Hailee laughed.
"How many, Coach Orion?" Charlie asked.
"I don't recall saying."
Charlie sighed as Hailee skated until she was at his side.

They looked at each-other before both skating off.
"This is stupid." Hailee muttered. "I spoke once."
"I don't like him." Charlie grumbled, narrowing his eyes at the new coach.
"Me neither." Hailee agreed.

Charlie and Hailee were called back to the team so they could ladder.

"Woohoo, alright, Banks. Let's see what you got, baby. Come on. Bring it up." Goldberg said as Adam skated towards him with the puck.

He scored and Goldberg winced as he fell into the splits. "Nice shot. Very nice."

Guy was next, and he scored too. "Lucky shot. Merry Christmas, Guy."

Every member who approached Goldberg, scored. Everyone was surprised, since Goldberg was usually great in goal.

"Goldberg!" Coach Orion yelled. "When was the last time you practiced?"
"Well, uh, we don't really practice, per se." Goldberg stumbled. "We either play or play around, you know, have fun."

Hailee watched as Goldberg skated towards Coach Orion.
"You know, that thing that makes you smile and laugh. Ha ha ha!" Goldberg joked.
Hailee sniggered from afar.
Coach Orion just stared at him.
"Okay, I'll shut up."
