         TESSA CORMAC WOULD admit that she had made a lot of mistakes. She would admit that the big number one would be falling for Caden Hayes, the resident asshole that had taken her heart and smashed it on the ground while she watched a let him. Repeatedly. Tessa fell for the kindness in his eyes and guilt for his anger and actions after he had done them and she had cried, scared, because she loved him. She did. And he loved her. It was them against the world, before anything else, and even though he forced her into so many things she didn't want, he still loved her and so it was okay.

Until is wasn't. Caden had built up in his eyes that he was god, and anything he did didn't have repercussions. He thought that he could do anything and Tessa would always be there, supporting and loving him. But it had gone too far when he sent her best friend, Finn Patterson, to juvie to save himself. She couldn't stay because her best friend was gone, her solace when Caden came down too harshly on her was gone. So, she left.

She had made a mistake by not leaving sooner. Free from his grasp, the first thing she did was attend a party because all she wanted to do was forget. She danced and drank until she was numb and her brain wasn't functioning and she was wanting to make out with a guy she didn't even know. Then, when she woke up in the house where the party took place, she thought she'd never see him again. She started back to her life again, trying to find who she is without Caden or Finn because that was what she had to do. Move on.

But she did see the guy again. Flash Thompson was a big deal to her new friend, Rylie Jacobs, and they she saw him again. And they kept meeting. Tessa didn't want to get in another relationship so quickly, but she couldn't deny that Flash was cute and he listened. He understood. So, they started a deal; casual sex with heartfelt conversations but no romantic feelings between them. Of course, that just turned out to be another mistake because Tessa Cormac always fell so fast.
