SOME TYPE OF LOVE
:: xxvii, out of town girl
Once again, Emma was bound to another project. After the release of The Circle, her agent called and told her about an upcoming disney remake, Beauty and The Beast which was being shot in England. So yes, distance was most definitely going to test this couple and neither of them thought they were ready for that. They thought their relationship wouldn't be strong enough to go through months without each other.
Emma had just told Isabelle the news as the two sat on Emma's sofa around 9:30pm on a Friday night.
"When do you leave?" Isabelle ask. Just like anyone else, she wanted to know how much time left they had.
"Monday." Emma simply told her.
Figuring how close that was, she had to ask. "When did you find out?"
Emma sighed, knowing there was going to be an argument. "Found out last week and I'm sorry for not telling you."
"Doesn't matter. You're leaving soon anyway." Isabelle completely ignored her.
Everything was sinking in. Emma's life and her's. They were completely different. She just didn't understand why Emma didn't tell her sooner. She doesn't want to think the worst but she can't help it.
Isabelle stood up from the sofa, "I think I'm going to go."
"What? Why?" Emma stood up as well.
Isabelle shrugged, "You need to pack, right? I'll just be in the way."
"Is, come on." Emma tried to stop her from leaving. She was being stubborn, Emma didn't understand.
"You should pack." Isabelle lastly said before leaving out Emma's place to head back to her's.

[ 2 WEEKS LATER ]
Emma thought she would give Isabelle some space. She didn't know what was going on with the girl she loves but she didn't want push her to talk either. Emma not calling, just made everything worse though. The only other person she had to talk to was Dylan and he was the last person she wanted to talk to but it was helping.
Yeah, Isabelle could just pick up the phone and call her. Communication is a two way street but just like Emma, Isabelle didn't want to bother her either. Even though it's only been two weeks, being away from each other was getting harder by the second.
"I just want to call her." Emma whined to her co star.
"Then call her." He simply told her.
"But I'm giving her space." Emma tried to talk herself out of it.
His arms went up, "Then don't! I don't know. Em, you're giving her space she didn't ask for. Did she? Or you wouldn't be second guessing yourself."

"Maybe I should call her." Isabelle was trying to decide as she sunk into Dylan's couch at his house.
"Either way, we have to hurry and get to the event for your job." Dylan slightly tried to rush her.
"Just give me five more minutes." She told him and he exited his place to get the car started.
Isabelle opened her phone and went to the FaceTime app. She saw Emma's name at the top and pressed it. She was a little nervous. They haven't spoke for two weeks, yet she doesn't know exactly why that is.
Emma answered, "Hey."
"Hey. How's it going? A lot of kissing scenes?" Isabelle teased a bit.
Emma nodded, "There are some. We haven't started them yet. So, what are you up to?"
"Going out with Dylan. It's a work event." Isabelle gave her a small smile. Hoping to ease the tension before there was any. If you haven't noticed, Emma doesn't like Dylan.
"Why didn't you ask me? I would've came." Emma felt a tad hurt.
"You're all the way in England. Besides, you'd just be here for a day then leave again. I don't want that." Isabelle spoke.
"Are you implying you're not going to visit me?" Emma was now growing a little upset.
Isabelle sighed, "I'm here. You're there. It wouldn't make sense to see each other for— I don't know, a day? Maybe a week, then leave again."
"Well, when I get back I probably will have another movie to do. Then we would never see each other." Emma argued.
"Maybe this was a bad idea." Isabelle spoke softly.
"You calling me or us being together?" Emma didn't know what she was saying until it was a little too late.
"Both." Isabelle immediately hung up.
She sat in silence for a moment before getting up, heading down to the car where Dylan sat, waiting for her. She wasn't sure what just happened. She wasn't sure if she was in a relationship anymore and neither did Emma.
Emma was wishing she never suggested what she suggested but the damage was already done. Honesty, neither of them still couldn't figure out how their talk became an argument.
