They had been sitting on the bus for a half of an hour before Mabel got bored with knitting.
"Dippppppeeerrrrr......" she whined, wondering when he would look up from his stupid book.
"Not now Mabel."
She sighed and looked around. There was this really weird looking guy, with long greasy hair and a neon green shirt. She giggled and said "Hey Dip, do you want to play eye spy?"
"Mabel....."
"Fine. How about we make up stories about everyone on this bus?"
"Will you leave me alone? I'm about to see if my prediction about the killer came true!"
"I'll only leave you alone if you play a game with me."
"Mabel, that defeats the point of you leaving me alone." He glared at her, trying to intimidate her into being quiet. She started cracking up. Dipper deflated.
"Okay, okay. I'll play your stupid game."
Mabel squealed and pointed out the neon man. She told a story about how he had just found out that he wasn't the Prince of Egypt, and how he now had a job as a traffic cone, and shared a motel room with his pet owl.
Dipper looked around desperately for something interesting to pacify Mabel. There were only three people other then them on the bus, and the other two didn't look interesting. So he said that the boring man in the business suit just won the lottery.
"Is that the best you can do?" Mabel looked down on him, and screwed up her face.
"Yes, Mabel." Dipper sighed, "Please be quiet."
"Boring-Borington." grumbled Mabel. She huffed and looked at the last person on the bus, making her own story up in her head.
It was a girl about their age, with short, strawberry blonde hair. She had very pink cheeks, and was wearing a varsity looking teal shirt and dark shorts. The girl was fiddling with her hair, and couldn't seem to sit still. Mabel decided that she was good at tennis, and needed a new friend.
So, she slid out of her window seat, climbed over Dipper, and dashed to the seat next to the girl.
"Hi! I'm Mabel! The nerd over there is my bro bro Dipper. What's your name?" Mabel thrusted her hand into the girl's face.
"C...Cassiopeia...." She stuttered, staring with wide eyes at Mabel's clammy hand. "I'm supposed to go to Gravity Falls, b...but......"
"MEEEE TOOOOO!!!" Mabel exclaimed, cutting Cassiopeia off, making her flinch, and earning a glare from Dipper. "Cass-oh-pee-ah.... I like your name! It's long though. I'm gonna call you Cassie."
"Oh, um, okay." She mumbled.
Just as Mabel started her life's story, the bus driver announced that they were approaching Gravity Falls! Mabel squealed yet again, and hastily said bye to Cassie, who meekly waved in her direction.
"Come by the Mystery Shack!" Mabel yelled as she bounded off of the bus to collect her luggage.
