She remembers that day quite well.The day She nearly drowned.She was quite happy when the day started actually.Some of the Orphanage staff decided to take her and the other kids on a trip to a beach in the next town.This kind of things didnt happen often so she was actually happy about it.
No one talked to her on the way there.The other kids pretty much ignored her and the orphanage staff...well they neglected her as usual.But she didnt care..She just wanted to enjoy the trip.It was pretty nice actually.But she should have noticed some weird things that were going on.Like how many times the whole group went off somewhere while and leaving her on her own,not even telling her where to go.The many times she's been pushed into bushes or whatever.Or just the loooks she got from most of the people on that trip.
No one really liked her much so she didnt pay much attention to it.She sould have.But she only realised it too late.Which was during their quick trip around the sea in a boat.Just when they turned to get back to the beach someone pushed her off the boat.She tried to swim back to it,she called,she yelled.But they just kept going.They got back to the beach and probably to the orphanage leaving her in the middle of the sea.She swam for a while.Until she got tired.Her arms and legs were hurting and was swimming much much slower.She panicked then.She really though she would get too tired to swim and drowned.And that's almost what happened.She yelled and cried until she just couldn't keep her head out of water anymore .She sinked in slowly and she was terrified.She couldn't breathe and she couldnt get back up.Then she saw some kind of weird light and the water looked like it was boiling.That's when it happened.Just a few seconds before she was about to pass out from the lack of air and all of sudden she was just fine.Her legs felt weird too and she looked down to see that she didnt have legs anymore but what looked like...a fishtail...or a mermaid tail but she didn't realised it then.She just swam back to the beach.What happened really hit her the next day.When she spilled some water on herself and felt all weird sudenly then she fell to the floor and her mermaid tail was back.That's when she really understood what happened the day before.She became a mermaid.But she still had no idea why or how.which is still the case today
