13. Mistake

Hello readers! Sorry for the late update! I've been working on a few unannounced projects and I got sick for a few days so I missed a lot of school. I'm catching up slowly but I also wanted to catch up on the new update for this fanfic. Please enjoy and tell me whatcha think!

~~~~~~~~~~
UA High had never been so alarmed by the recent news that two of their students were attacked by a dangerous new villain. The campus was locked down because of aggressive news reporters and only students and teachers were allowed in.
Class 1-A was swarming with questions at Ejiro Kirishima and Denki Kaminari, who were in their recovering states, trying to answer as best they could. The question they seemed to be getting the most was: Is Midoriya still alive?
Bakugou just watched, scoffing at the students and glaring down at nothing.
Denki shook his head slowly. "No. We don't really know what happened to him. He only attacked us once!"
That's when one of the Class Reps, Momo Yaoyorozu, got everyone to back away from the two students in bandages and gauze pads. "Guys, please! Kaminari and Kirishima have been asked these questions multiple times already."
Kaminari spoke up, "Actually, I'm okay with- ah!" He winced as he looked at Kirishima, who jabbed him in the side where he was injured.
Momo went on. "All of us are concerned for them and what they went through. And yes, we want to know everything about what happened to our classmate, Izuku Midoriya," she looked down and mumbled to herself. "I want to know too..." She picked up her head. "But we must let the pros and the officials do their job as last time and hopefully, we can get answers. Why don't we switch subjects?"
The door opened, and a short brunette dashed through it, shutting it behind her. Ochaco Uraraka's face was pale as she held her pencil in one hand. Her short brown hair was slightly disheveled and her figure shaking.
Everyone turned to see her, with curious and some puzzled expressions.
"What...happened...to Deku?" Ochaco panted out, her voice breaking. She hadn't been very good since her dear friend had gone. She was sometimes absent from school, and when she did go, she looked a little tired or upset.
Momo sighed. "Go ahead, Ochaco." She stepped to the side.
Kaminari and Kirishima looked at each other curiously.
Ochaco walked up to them. "Was he really there? Was he actually the one...who attacked you?"
The red head nodded slowly. "Yeah..." He looked sullen by the thought.
She sniffed and asked. "D-does that mean he isn't coming back any time soon?"
He shook his head no. "We don't know much else."
Ochaco struggled to fight back tears as she nodded and turned, walking to her desk. She didn't want to cry again in front of everyone.
The thought of Izuku trying to hurt someone was so foreign to her, as it was to everyone. What could explain that sudden switch from good to seemingly evil?
No, of course there's a way Deku could be a villain. He always told me he wanted to be a hero and save people. Something's wrong here.
Ochaco was convinced something else was going on. She couldn't believe that easily that her friend just changed like that.
There had to be something else to it, right?
...
Pro Heroes were investigating the most recent event of a new 'villain' and where he came from. After hearing from the victims that he was the same boy that went missing, some believed he was corrupted or influenced by someone to turn away from good. Others believed it was fake and the two just looked similar.
All Might searched for any signs of Izuku.  He couldn't accept the fact that his trusted successor was turned evil. There was something else bothering him. Once the teachers had a meeting about this, all of them agreed to keep going on with classes and investigate the case in secret.
Aizawa's class was hardest to keep under control. All Might could tell by the way the class was for training. They were gradually improving, but most of their grades were lowering and their spirits were down.
Turns out, Izuku was missed by everyone. Most essentially, by his mentor.
I should have never let this happen to him. If he has turned evil, doesn't that fall on me? I was supposed to teach him.
These thoughts ran through the number one hero's head as he read through the witness reports and other information that a detective from the police department, Tsukauchi, leaked to him.
Both reports said the same thing:
Male, green hair, green eyes, age 15-16 years of age, strong build.
It all matched the descriptions someone would give for Izuku.
Tsukauchi concluded to All Might that the highest suspect was Izuku, even if he didn't want to hear it.
"Midoriya, my boy..." All Might sighed as he placed the files back in their envelope. "I'm sorry for letting you down."
He spent the rest of the night searching the streets for any sign of the young male. If he was seen once, maybe he would come out again, but who knows where he hid?
All Might's muscular form was starting to deteriorate. 2 hours of searching and to no avail. He even scouted the area near where he was sighted.
"Those students couldn't be wrong, could they?" He started to ask himself in quiet murmurs. He checked his cell phone which had no notifications from the police or any pro heroes.
That's when he heard it, a swift movement behind him. He turned his head and raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"
Another quiet sound was heard, this time of a scuffling at his right side. All Might turned around. "Show yourself, whoever you are!!" He yelled with a powerful tone.
It became dead silent. All Might kept looking about the area, keeping his eyes and ears open.
I wonder if it is him. He thought before checking his cell phone again.
What he didn't know was a certain young man was watching this scene play out from afar.
Bakugou was leaned up against the wall behind a building. He didn't expect All Might to be around here. Sadly, he found nothing as well.
"Stupid Weird Hair. Stupid Dunce Face." He hissed as he looked back to make sure All Might was walking away. If he got caught, who knew what would happen.
He would probably get expelled from UA for going against Aizawa's orders. He didn't care at this point, though. He wanted to see if maybe Izuku was here again and if he would attack him.
He heard All Might sigh then leave the street. His footsteps were heard going to a distance, finally out of earshot.
"Stupid Deku." He huffed under his breath as he quietly walked away, farther from the area. "He has to be somewhere in this city." He took out his cell phone and began texting a contact named 'Weird Hair'
I checked the area. Deku isn't around. Are you even sure he would do that?
A few seconds later, he received a text back,
Wait. What do you mean you checked the area? He said he was going after you next! Get out of there!
Bakugou narrowed his eyes and looked up. "If he was gonna come after me, I'd kick his ass first." He started typing a response as he walked away.
...
Izuku smirked as he hummed in satisfaction. "How amusing..." He said to himself as he sat on a rooftop, watching All Might jog away. He turned his head to see Katsuki Bakugou stalking the opposite way, completely oblivious to the fact that he was being spied on.
"Those two really think they have me figured out." Izuku said as he looked back. "Can I confront him now, Shigaraki?"
"Not yet, Midoriya." The pale haired villain answered as he looked off to the distance. "This is why I let you come with me. You're being far too reckless."
Izuku sighed and got up. "You've told me that a hundred times now."
"That's because it's true. Watch." Shigaraki nudged Izuku to look toward Bakugou's direction. "You want to make him suffer, right?"
Izuku nodded as he stared blankly at the blond male who was still walking off.
"You want him to feel exactly what you felt, right?"
He nodded again.
"You want to exact your revenge on him and all those that turned their back on you, right??"
"Yes." Izuku sighed, reaching under his sleeve and scratching at the scar on his wrist.
Shigaraki smiled in delight as he answered, "Then wait. When the time is right, you'll have your chance at doing exactly what you want."
Izuku inhaled a little, "I want to kill them. I need to..."
Shigaraki seemed pleased with this statement. Oh, how he reminded him of himself when he was younger. "Need to?"
Izuku lowered his head with a dark look on his face. He scratched even more at the scar on his wrist, wincing when he hit the most sensitive area. "Especially Kacchan. They all don't know what suffering really is. They had everything handed to them. I had to work so hard for this." He looked at his scarred, irritated wrist.
"Don't be jealous, Midoriya. Remember they'll know exactly what it feels like. Once the first phase of our plan is done, you'll have all of them in the palm of your hand." Shigaraki went to his other side. "You have more power than any of those people do."
Izuku looked up and sighed. "That's right." He stepped forward. "That's why when I meet Kacchan again, I'll be the one kicking his ass." He swore before smirking down at the view of the empty city streets.
