The Web Of Lies Woven By A Black Widow

"Angels?!" Dean exclaimed.

They had returned to their motel room to discuss what they had just discovered.

"We don't know if it's angels, all she said was that his eyes were blue and glowing!" Felicity argued.

"If it was an angel, that would mean he found a vampire, killed it, then took the body away. Why would he do that?" Sam asked.

"Why are you insisting that it was an angel?" Felicity asked.

"What else has glowing, blue eyes?" Dean asked.

She didn't answer. She just sighed. She knew exactly what was going on, but she wasn't planning on dragging the boys into it. She only wanted to keep them safe. Which was the reason behind her secrets.

"Why're you fighting us on this?" Dean asked.

She shrugged her shoulders a bit. "Maybe we could call Castiel? I'm sure he has just enough mojo to fly here, right?"

"Barely. Alright, I guess," Dean closed his eyes. "Alright, Cas, we could use some heavenly advice. We're not sure what to make of this case in Mississippi. We think there are angels involved. If you have the angel juice for it, maybe you could pop on down here?"

They all waited until they heard the sound of wings fluttering, Cas appearing in the middle of the room. He looked exhausted.

"You could not have found a case closer to the bunker? Oklahoma, perhaps?" He was breathing heavily.

Dean chuckled. "Okay, Mr. Sassafras. We just need some angelic insight. So, this case involves vampires, there's no doubt. But, according to a witness, there was someone there, a guy with glowing blue eyes. Sounds angelic to me."

Cas sat down on the bed. "Yes, it does sound like an angel."

"Well, do you know of any angels that happen to be partial to snatching stiffs and killing vamps?"

"He took a body?"

"Yeah. The vamp was Victoria Winters, but we don't know who the body was. We'll probably have to wait for any missing persons reports."

Felicity couldn't help but feel bad for Cas. He was getting weaker and weaker, and here he was, aiding the Winchesters in a case that could've been solved if she would just reveal her secrets. But she couldn't. She would endanger their lives, she couldn't do that. These boys were like family to her. Team Free Will. And she'd protect them with her life. The least she could do now was get them as far from this case as possible.

"You know, I doubt this angel would stick around here for very long. And with the vamp dead, there's not much here, is there?"

"We should take a look around town, just to make sure nothing's still going on." Sam suggested.

"Yeah, I'll go snoop around, see what's what." Dean volunteered, grabbing his car keys. He walked out the door, and Felicity could've sworn she saw Cas staring at his ass as he left.

She didn't care, she thought they'd make a cute couple. If they'd just come out already.

"I'm gonna grab a quick shower." Sam said, walking into the small, stain ridden bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Felicity sat down next to Cas. "How's your mojo holding up?"

"It's... holding up. Barely."

"I'm sorry we had to call you down here, but things just got complicated."

"It's fine. I won't be able to fly back, though."

"You can ride with us. No big deal."

Cas sighed. "I miss being a... true angel. With this virulent grace inside me, it's as though I'm half angel, half human. Probably more than half human. I feel so useless."

Felicity put a sympathetic hand on his shoulder. "You're not useless, Castiel. You shouldn't think so low of yourself."

"Why do you care what I think of myself? You hardly know me."

"I know you well enough to be damn sure that you are the best angel out there. No one could ever compare to you."

"And what exactly makes you say that?"

She sighed lightly. She gave him a light peck on the cheek and smiled sweetly at him. "Because I think you're the sweetest person I've ever met."

Their eyes met, and Cas felt something strange inside him. Similar to the way he felt around Dean sometimes, but this felt... stronger.

Felicity's kind, grey eyes made him feel warm. He wondered if she felt the same. He nixed the thought as soon as it came. How could she feel this way? Because of him? He knew it was illogical. Was it?

"You look dead tired. You should get some rest." Felicity's soft, sweet voice shook Cas from his thoughts.

"I'm fine, Felicity. I am an angel, I don't need rest." He let out a long yawn, which suggested otherwise.

"Castiel, I'm not having it. Sleep, angel."

"I am fine. I don't need you to order me about."

"You're literally dying right now. You need sleep, just like everybody else."

He stared down at his hands. "Whenever I sleep, I feel as though I am giving in to this... weakness. I don't want to sleep, Felicity. It makes me feel... broken."

She felt so bad then. "I'm sorry. I... I didn't think of it quite like that."

"It is fine. I will try to sleep later."

"You better, mister." She smiled.

Cas looked at her and tilted his head. "Mister who?"

Felicity chuckled. "Never mind. So you need sleep, do you need to eat, too?"

"Sometimes it rather feels that way. Why?"

"Well, I was gonna go grab something to eat across the street. Do you need anything?"

"Perhaps food would be convenient."

"Kay," She got up and went to the door, grabbing her handbag. "I'll just bring you back a hot dog or something."

"Why would I require a canine that is high in temperature?"

Felicity laughed. "You'll see." And she left.

She stopped just outside the convenience store and waited. She was going to meet him here. It was only a few moments wait before he arrived.

"Do you have it?" She asked him.

"It's all in the truck. Just like you asked. One or two?"

"Let's go with three this time."

He chuckled. "Upping the ante, I see."

"It's getting stronger. I'm gonna need more than usual. I just hate lying to them, Django."

"Don't worry. I'd say based on what you told me, it's for the right reasons."

"If it's for the right reasons, why does it feel so wrong?"

He tucked her long, auburn hair behind her ear and pressed his soft lips to hers. She kissed him back, though this time, she thought of Cas. Why would she think of Cas while she's kissing Django?

She pulled back. "Let me run inside real quick. I promised Castiel I'd get him a hot dog."

Django chuckled again. "How is Castiel doing with that stolen grace of his?"

"He's fine. Not that you'd care. Based on what you told me about your history."

"You mean what that bastard did to me? And Josephine?"

"I'm sorry about Josephine. Okay? I am. But you've got me now. And I promise you that Castiel won't get in the way of that. You know I love you."

He smiled. "I love you too, El."

She looked away from his powerful blue eyes. "The boys call me that. 'Cause there is no nickname for Felicity." She chuckled.

"There's always Felix, but you're so against that."

"It's a guy name! Is that my fault?"

Django smiled. "How bout I get you some of those bags now? While you get your food, I'll get the, uh... food."
