Chapter 5: A conflicted Discussion
As the night begins to dwell in Berserk Isle, Heather suggest that the Dragon Riders get some private sleep bedrooms for the night.
The young heir seem blushed and quite bashful for the suggestion, "Heather, you don't have to." But the young teen raises her hand, "Please, at least for the night. You guys flew all the way here from Berk.
I bet that Stormfly and the other dragons are pretty tired from the flight."
Stormfly chuckled at the rider's statement, as she said, "Hic, this is quite an opportunity for us to rest.
You can talk to Astrid alone for the first time in a while."
He looked at the dragon with a unsure look, "Are you really ok with that, Stormfly? I thought that it would bothersome for you."
"Nah, I'll be fine, I got Toothless and the other dragons to accommodate with. Just go already." She reassures him as the teen sighs as that he looked at Astrid directly.
As the dragons leave, the young heir decided to follow his dragon's suggestion. She was right, it has been a while since peace has restore for Berk, and that it has has been hard for the young couple to ever relax.
He searched until he had noticed the young rider, gazing at the aurora borealis, which that made him smile.
"It is quite a while since you took me to see the aurora borealis, isn't?" Hiccup asked as that the viking yelp in surprise.
"Ah! Geez, Hiccup. That totally scared me. I didn't hear you come in." She said, as the young teen titled his head in confusion, "You shocked? C'mon, you defeated a dragon that raided Berk for so long!
Give yourself some credit."
She blushed, but deep down, she felt that it wasn't convincing. "Astrid... is too bothersome that you felt guilt? About Isabelle?"
She flinched, as that the young teen sighs as that he was spot on. "Astrid, I knew you. Dealing with the Black Dragon Hunters is a personal level.
But hiding it from us, it's kind of hurtful."
"How I sip that information? Hiccup, I been in alone for all my life, and that I just reunited with you all, despite of being a vigilante, it's been quite difficult to conflict trust to others."
"Understandable. Valkyrie, it's all right to be afraid.
I'm headed for bed. Goodnight." He kissed her on the forehead.
As he leaves, the young viking pushes her hair back, as that having the discussion was something she never expected from her boyfriend.
"Man, Hiccup. Why is that you always make things so complicated, even though that you are right?!?"
Meanwhile, back in the Isle of Berk, Stoick and Valka were in the Haddock household. It seems so quiet since Hiccup followed Astrid to help her in another adventure.
Stoick sighs as that Valka seems to know that her husband was feeling unsure of letting their son go off on his own.
"You are worried about Hiccup, aren't you?" She asked him as the chief blushed of how his wife seems to be more calmer than he was.
"Yeah, why wouldn't i? Hiccup and the others dealt so much since the incident with the Red Death.
Honestly, I felt that it is totally much of my fault to begin with. If I wasn't so untrustworthy towards Hiccup's desire to protect Toothless and Astrid..."
"Stoick! Hiccup is the toughest person we know! He knew the dangers of going towards the dangers that he had to face.
Besides, we have to trust in him, trust his instincts and have total faith that he and the others succeed in this new threat.
We also have Terror Mail to communicate with each other, thanks to Astrid's advice."
The chief sighs again, as that he knew that his wife is absolutely right about it. He had nothing to worry about.
"I hope that Astrid and the others return home safely. I want to hear the story when they return."
