Chapter 1: Beginning

This is Berk. The home of Vikings that used to kill Dragons as long they can remember . But all of that changed.

Thanks to a heroine named Astrid Hofferson, who also known as Valkyrie.

She has proven to the village that Dragons and Vikings can coexist in peace, although that it took a slight misunderstands along the way.

As that peace was restored, Astrid was flying through the sky along with her friends, to hold a special contest.

"Man, it's a beautiful day for a contest, don't you agree, Toothless?" Astrid asking in Dragonese.

The mighty night fury seemed to be smiling that his friend had some peace through the whole ordeal with the Red Death.

Hiccup and Stormfly flew by, along with the other riders as he asked, "Well, what type of contest we're going to have today?"

Snoutlout looks at him, "Hm, I was going to ask the same question. Valkyrie, what you think we should do?"

The rider seem to smile at the riders, "How about doing "Best Dragon Trick competition. We haven't done one yet."

Fishlegs seems to be excited about the idea, "All right, let's do rock paper siccors for it. "

The group did that , as it reveals that it was him and Meatlug to go first. They did a gentle spin around as that it doesn't surprise the riders one bit.

"Wow. You and Meatlug are really capable to make things slight slow, don't you think?" Tuffnut asked, raising his eyebrow.

"Oh? Why you think it's reliable? C'mon, you and your sister has chosen a very unique dragon! A two-headed dragon for Thor's sake!"

Ruffunt said, concurring with that statement, "He's got a point." They show off their move, but because of their personality of arguments, they weren't in synch as that Hiccup just sighs at the terrible twosome.

"You guys are really stupid and terrible. Astrid, with all due respect, I can't believe that you gave them a Zipperback ."

Snoutlout said, patting his cousin's shoulder, "It couldn't be any worse. All right, Hookfang and I had discovered something. I kinda wanted to keep it as a secret, but I figured it wouldn't be fair."

Hookfang demonstrated a new move that Astrid has never seen before, which widen her exceptions.

"What was that, Snoutlout? I never seen that before."

"I call it a "Wing Blast."

I discovered this little move while training on my own. We knocked off a tree as it was about to knock off of my saddle. I never imagined that Hookfang has an ability like that. You been away for home for a long time studying with Dragons. Did you know about that?"

Astrid shook her head, "Nope. I never knew that. I guess that I've been tracking down the Red Death for so long, I never had the chance to know all the dragons are capable of."

Hiccup seemed to be reicent when the rider mentioned about that. It still have some trauma within him of losing his beloved girlfriend to a massive dragon like that.

"Hic, hiccup, what's wrong?" Astrid asked the rider, with concern.

"It's nothing." He replied, as Stormfly seems to notice her rider's feelings. As he and Stormfly were going to do their trick, she asked, "Hiccup, you still don't want to talk to her about that day?

It seems unfair to bottle up your emotions like this."

"Stormfly, I will tell her, but not right now. Astrid been through so much, and I just wanted her to be at peace for now."

Back at Berk, Valka and Stoick were looking at the horizons. It still bogs the Chief of the village that he didn't listen to his son's dire warning about the true horrors of the Red Death.

"Honey, what's the matter?" Valka asked her husband, as that she notices his emotions. Even though that the relationship between father and son were disconnected because of the scars he had made for keeping a massive secret for Astrid and Toothless's sake, it made Hiccup more cautious then ever.

"I felt like it's my fault that Astrid had to sacrifice everything. She made a huge difference for the village, and that I almost destroyed my relationship with our son because of it."

The Chiefness smiled, "It's not your fault. You just misunderstood the situation and you were focused on protection of the village.

Although, Hiccup had a choice too. His desire to protect the person he loves is not always a right choice.

You know deep down that he cares about you. You're his father and that is more important that he needs your support.

Just give him all the time in the world."

As they hold hands, the vikings of Berk had no idea that a brand new enemy will emerge, as that it would be the most challenging for Valkyrie and Toothless can handle alone.
