(Frisk's P.O.V.)

At some point, I fall asleep. I'm woken by a loud howl. At first, I'm scared. Has Sans broken through the door? Am I about to die?

There's another howl and I realise that it sounds weird. It's slowly turning from a wolf's howl to a normal scream. Sans is transforming back. I unlock the door of the house and run down to the basement. As I get there, the screaming silences. I unlock the Ruins door and open it.

Sans lay there, back in is normal form, unconscious. His left leg is broken, he has five broken ribs and is covered skull to toe in bruises. I have to take him home so he can be healed. I lift him up, with great difficulty, and start walking back through Snowdin Forest.

When I reach Snowdin Town, I put Sans down outside his old house. I go into the lab and get his clothes from the drawer. I go back out and dress him because carrying him when he was naked was kinda weird. I then pick him up again and head home. It's a long walk, made harder with the skeleton in my arms.

Finally, I reach home. I have to knock with my head. After a bit, Mum answers, in her night gown as it's still very early.

'My child, you're ho-' she begins but stops, gasping. 'Sans?! What happened to him?'

'It's a long story but there's no time. You have to heal him,' I say.

'Bring him in,' Mum says. We go inside and I lay Sans on the sofa. Mum places her hand on his leg. A green glow surrounds it as she begins to use her healing magic.

'WHAT'S GOING ON?' Papyrus, who just came downstairs, asks. 'WAIT, SANS?! WHAT HAPPENED?! IS HE OKAY?!'

'Papyrus, he's going to be fine. Can you help Mum, though? His ribs need to be healed as well,' I say.

'His ribs are broken too?' Mum asks. I lift up Sans's shirt to reveal the snapped ribs. Papyrus immediately runs over and begins to heal them. 'My child what happened last night?'

'Well...I decided to go with Sans to Grillby's because I was still kinda hungry. However, on the way, Sans...got hit by a car. The guy whose car it was felt really badly about it. His house was nearby and he let us stay for a bit. I was going to say no at first and just bring Sans home, but the guy said that the street we were in can be...dangerous at night. He said the safest way to get home would be to wait until daylight. So, we stayed there until the sun came up,' I make up.

'BUT SANS ONLY HAS 1 HP! HOW WOULD HE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SURVIVE BEING HIT WITH A CAR?' Papyrus asks.

'Uhhh...'

What do I say? How do I explain Sans's HP raising without saying the truth about last night?

I have to improvise. Direct attention away from the matter.

'I don't know, but he's not dust so he obviously has survived somehow. Anyway, how's the healing going?' I ask.

'I've finished. His leg is as good as new,' Mum says, removing her hand as the glow fades.

'I'M ON THE LAST RIB, AAAAAAAAND IT'S DONE!' Papyrus said, doing the same.

'Frisk, Sans you're home! Thank god...uhh, is Sans okay?' Undyne, who'd just come down with Alphys, asks.

'He's unconscious. Long story,' I tell them. 'We should probably take him to his room.'

'YEAH, I'LL DO IT!' Papyrus says, picking up Sans. I go with him as he goes upstairs.

Sans's room is as messy as always. Papyrus lays Sans on his mattress and I sit down next to him.

'I THINK I'M GOING TO MAKE SANS SOME SPAGHETTI TO MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER WHEN HE WAKES UP,' Papyrus says. 'DO YOU WANT TO HELP ME, HUMAN?'

'No thanks, Paps. I think I'm gonna stay here with Sans. Can you save me a plate, though?' I ask.

'OF COURSE, FRISK.' Papyrus leaves the room and goes downstairs.

I turn to Sans. I decide to check his stats, y'know, to be safe.

He may be back to normal, but you'll never be able to see him the same way again.

I let out a sigh. It's right. I will never see Sans in the same way.

I lay back on the floor, my mind a whirlwind of emotions, questions and worries.

One thing's for sure. Sans will get such an ear hole full when he wakes up.
