(~^-^)~ Mitch's POV ~(^-^~)
"WHAT? WHY?" I cry and everyone looks at me. Oops. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
"Mitch Benja Hughes, shut your mouth," Mom whispers as Notch looks at me. "Why do you think this new law is a problem?" Notch asks. "Because... because I find it stupid that they can't socialise! What's wrong with being friends?" I ask.
"Mitch, be quiet," Mom whispers again, but I don't listen for once. "Honestly, is it just because they're fluffy? Or because they live in trees? Or because they're furry and crafters are not?" I say.
"Mitch, shut up!" Mom whispers loudly. I know Jerome's eyes are on me, but I'm currently staring into Notch's eyes. "I'm guessing that young bacca is your friend?" Notch asks and I nod to Mom's suprise.
"Well, there's been evidence of Baccas lashing out at crafters and doing many other things to harm young crafters. There has even been some fatal encounters. So it's for your safety," Notch says so calmly it makes me mad.
Again Notch makes some petty excuse, they're harmful, Jerome has been the first bacca to befriend a crafter, blah blah blah. "Baccas are dangerous towards crafters and therefore they cannot..."
He doesn't get too far as I nock an arrow and shoot in his direction, receiving gasps from many people, including my mom. If he hadn't moved out of the way, it would have impaled him through the head. My accuracy is better than I thought.
"Mitch!!" Mom cries as several Steves, who are obviously some of Notch's goons, start dragging me away from Jerome. One tries to take my bow, but I hide it in my inventory. One Steve grabs Jerome and that's what angers me.
I kick a Steve in the groin and punch another Steve in the face. Mom is obviously suprised I can fight. More Steves start coming, but I grab one's arm and judo flip him. He lands in front of another Steve. I run over to Jerome and punch the Steve in the face, then grab Jerome's arm and drag him out the town hall.
We suprise many young villagers and crafters as we run through the village streets. Steves, Notch, and mom are chasing us and Jerome's getting tired. "Just a few more metres," I tell him through gritted teeth as Bacca comes into view.
"COME ON JEROME!!" I yell and mount Bacca. I grab a stick with a carrot on it from my inventory as Jerome hops on the back of Bacca. I give Bacca a bite of the carrot and he gallops off into the woods. I look behind me and notice Mom, Notch, and the many Steves mountiny their own horses and going into pursuit.
Since they don't have carrot stick, their horses aren't as fast and we soon lose them. We stop at the house to drop off Bacca. It would be easier to find us if we take Bacca. I run in. Despite the fact I'm tired, I break my chest, my crafting table and my bed. Then I grab a book and quill, write a quick note and sprint out.
It's starting to rain. Jerome is waiting outside, drinking water, and when I'm out we continue sprinting. We're almost at his tree when Mom catches up to us. Jerome frantically places the ladders and starts to climb up. The tree is slippery as I follow Jerome up the ladders. I'm almost up when my foot slips and a Steve grabs it.
"JEROME!!" I yell and he grabs my hand, trying to pull me up. The Steve is holding onto my shoe, but he grabs my leg. He's standing on top of his horse.
Jerome starts to pull me up, but another three Steves come to his aid. If it was two to one, Jerome would win, but he's outmatched with four. They pull me down and I grab onto the ladders.
A very aggressive Steve pushes me and I fall, losing half my hearts. Ouch.
"JEROME!!" I yell again and try to crawl towards the ladders, but someone grabs me. My hands are bleeding, my feet are sore, and I'm soaking wet but I still attempt to get away.
"MITCH!!" Jerome yells from the tree. "JEROME!!!!" I yell as they all drag me away. "Jerome..." I whisper, tears streaming from my eyes as they drag me away from the best friend I've ever had.
"From now on you are not going for walks in the woods," Mom snaps and places a new bed, chest, and crafting table. But I still have my other stuff in my inventory.
"Mitch?" Mom snaps again and I look up. "Did you hear me?" I nod. "You said I can't go for walks in the woods," I repeat and look down again. I have to get to the woods somehow.
"And I am going with you when you go to the village. I don't want you running into crazy baccas," Mom says. "Baccas are not crazy," I say through clenched teeth.
"Yes they are. Don't argue with me please. I'm also not leaving you at home by yourself. So I'm inviting Sky over," she motions for me to get up and follow her and I sigh. There's no way I'm gonna find Jerome now.
Unless...
I follow Mom outside, where one of my friends Sky is coming on his yellow horse, Budder. He waves to me and I wave back. Mom gets on her horse, which she's saddled up. "I'm gonna be back in an hour so I'll see you two late," she says and rides off.
Sky readjustes his sunglasses and wipes them as well before he goes inside. He's not saying much. I follow him inside and shut the door.
"I heard about Notch's announcement," Sky says. "And what you did." I look down, semi ashamed. "I would have done that as well, if I couldn't talk to Ty or Jason," Sky adds, reminding me of the days before Sky moved away, to the budder kingdom, with Jason and Ty.
"That's why I'm gonna help you plot to go find him," he grins.
Yay. Second chapter. Woo hoo.
So Sky is gonna help Mitch plot to find Jerome. Good job Sky. Here's a medal *hands Sky budder*
