"Ma'am,... ma'am can you hear us? Don't worry you are going to be absolutely fine. The doctor will make sure of that."

"What?"

"I said you are going to be fi... ma'am ma'am!"

"Doctor!"
"We are losing her,"
"Quick... bring the defibrillator."
"Hurry"
"Ma'am. Come on Stay with us."

(Three weeks pass)

(Rey's POV)

"Open your eyes. Please open your eyes," I sobbed holding Raven's hand.  Mom was already drowning in her own tears.

It had been three weeks since the accident and Raven hadn't woken up.  It was said that she had a coma and that it wasn't known when she might wake up.

"Raven please just wake up. I need you. I can't lose you. I feel so lonely right now. Just take me out of my misery and wake up." I said stroking her straight hair.  "Please."

I sobbed again pulling her hand close to my face.  My tears running down her arm. Suddenly her hand moved.  I stopped sobbing and stared at it before staring at her calm as death face.  I put a string of hair behind my ear and squeezed her hand.  She responded by squeezing it even harder. I gasped in relief and mom stopped her sobbing and stared at me.

"She's coming back to us."

Rey continued squeezing my hand and I held it tightly as mom called the nurses and the doctor.  It was like Raven was fighting something inside.  Something that even I couldn't help her.  The pain she would feel when she wakes up would be so unbearable.

"Please leave," the doctor said as he got in.

"I'm not going anywhere," I protested but mom soon got me out.

As I watched the doctors and nurses doing their thing, I just wished that she was going through so much.  I wished she wasn't in that hospital in pain.  That she was with me all healthy and well.

(Raven POV)

"Hy,"  I smiled as mom and Rey walked into the room.

"Hey," they both said sitting next to me.

I could tell by their swollen eyes that they were crying and it baffled me why.  I couldn't remember anything except for when a nurse was talking to me.

"How long have I been here?"

"Three weeks honey," mom said squeezing my hand.

"Three we..." My body hurt.I couldn't move. It annoyed me so much. I wanted to get up but my body was numb along with being in pain.

"Rave calm down," Rey cooed.

"Why can't I move? I want to get up. I want to get out of here." I sobbed try to rise up.

"Rave plz."

I hated this.  I hated hospitals.  I hated being stuck on bed with nothing to do. I had just woke up when they came in. I wanted to get out.  This was suffocating me.

"Where, where's that girl?" I asked calming down

"What girl?" they both said in unison.

"There was a a girl on the road," I said as I recovered my memory.
Suddenly the doctor came in.

"Hello Miss Smith. I see you are awake."

I nodded and sighed as he came and felt my heart beat.

"I must say you are a true brave girl," he said taking his glasses off.
"that girl you saved that night, was Olivia Johnson. We have no idea what she was doing on the road but she had a lot of alcohol in her system."

"What?" I asked staring at him.

"Well you pushed her to the other side of the road where she hit her head on the ground. Her injury wasn't serious but yours was more worse because along with being hit by a car, another one came along and ran over you."

"Doctor please," my mom says trying to stop him from carrying on.

My eyes filled with tears and began to fall.  I couldn't believe any of this.  It was to much to hear.  How could I have been alive now.  How did I survive.  Death was knocking on my door and was about to take me away but yet I was still here today.

The next four hours I spent talking to Rey about school.  She told me that everyone wished me a speedy recovery and that my friends had come so many times to visit but the doctor didn't allow them.  I really felt sorry for them.  They were so worried about me.  I shouldn't have left the party.  I should have at least waited for Rey or at least the Uber.  After a while Kia and Tia came in and they all began to sob.

"We thought you were going to die," they both said squeezing my hands.

"Hey I'm okay." I said reassuring them.

"I'm alive... somehow," I mumbled.

They both grinned and squeezed the cheeks to mine and Rey took a picture and posted it on her her Instagram page.

I spent four days at the hospital and my family and friends visited almost everyday, telling about the latest juicy stories and all but most of the time, I spent reading novels on my laptop or watching TV.  I was bored to death and I do wished that I would get discharged very bad.

"Okay Miss Smith, I think you are ready to go home," the doctor said as he came in.

Rey and mom sighed in relief.

"Does that mean I can go to school?" I asked and Rey glared at me.

"If your pain reduces and your body is now perfectly fine to be doing work then amI guess so," he laughed.

Mom smiled and lightly pinched my cheeks.

"My baby is a fighter."

Mom and the doctor left and I remained with Rey. She was grinning and I could tell she was happy.  I was happy too because I really hated staying on a hospital bed and being bored to death to death. I missed home food especially made by by mom.  Now I would escape from the is horrible place where the doors always screamed after the doctor came in.  After a while of talking with Rey, mom walked in.

"I need to tell you something sweetie," she said stroking my hair.

"What is it?" Rey and I asked unison.

She paused for minute then started, "Olivia's family, the Johnson's... want you to come and have dinner with them at their mansion."

Suddenly my heart froze and my body fell numb.
