Chapter Four - Impure
Smoke mines. Why did it have to be smoke? The Batter gave an annoyed huff. He looked back to the two following him.
" Go head back, or whatever. I'll take it from here. I work better alone anyways."
The Judge nodded, Zacharie giving a 'goodbye' wave. Together, they left
He sat in silence for a while, before tightening his grip on the bat.
" Show yourselves."
One by one, Specters appeared around him, groaning and hissing.
" Figured as much. Very well..."
His expression darkened. " Taste my holy wrath, impures."
Add-on by his side, impures were slain today.

Meanwhile, Zacharie and The Judge busied themselves to the barns.
Zacharie swung his sword at specters, The Judge hissing and batting at them.
Our dear Judge crawled down to the basement to deal with the last one. Zacharie stood guard at the entrance, still inside.
A sharp voice cut through his thoughts.
" I TOLD YOU, I'D TAKE CARE OF IT!"
" I... I'm sorry... I just thought..."
Some beast, which he made out as Dedan, was shouting at an Elsen.
" I can't BELIEVE you, #264. This is the SECOND TIME this WEEK."
" There... there was a f...first...?"
" OF! FUCKING! COURSE THERE WAS!"
The Judge emerged from the Basement. " What's going on?"
" Nothing, Mon Ami. Nothing at all."
" GOD, Elsen are USELESS." Dedan growled, stomping away and muttering curses under his breath.
Zacharie approached the Elsen, who had begun to cry. They hesitantly hugged him, sobbing gently. Zacharie stroked their head, muttering small words of comfort.

The Batter gave a shaky breath as he wiped out the last specter he could find. A large cut ran down his chest, and he had run out of luck tickets.
Our dear #709 had just happened to into the mines to find The Batter, and saw him standing there, trying to catch his breath.
Carefully, they approached him. " M...Mister...? Are you okay..?"
If they hadn't spoken sooner, they would've been hit upside the head with a bat.
" I... I'm fine, thanks." The Batter moved to cover up his cut, but not so successfully.
" No! Y...you're hurt. I'll fix you up, hold still..."
Rather quickly, they pulled out a luck ticket and some bandages to cover up the rest of the wound that wouldn't heal.
The Batter blinked. He never expected an Elsen to be as prepared. " Ah... Thanks. You did well."
He was struck with an idea. " Say, I could really use an Elsen like you. Care to join me on my mission?"
Not wanting to seem rude, #709 agreed to his request.
And off they went.
