operating (training/difficulty?) security, etc. (operators, equipment, etc.)

military (political, national, etc.)  reactions to, etc.  conservatism, vs enthusiastic emvrace versus ...-_? (wildcard reactions - stuff ? partial/interpretations/views/etc.)

ONE KEY SECTION/SUBJECT-AREA (of potential/interesting material) IS:  


communications links, critical, maintaining, blocking, taking over, etc. ?  (lots of possibilities for scenarios around this stuff)

assassin drones, surveillance, battlefield drones, etc.  transport (of things & ppl?)

signals & coms (& interference, & hacking/hijacking/override-ing, encryption, etc.) are critical, independent ai? (more limited capabilities?) safety of; berserkers, cyberdine-terminator, caprica-bsg reboot, stuff, etc., electro-magnetic pulse-s (as countermeasure-s?), not just to take out electronics (which can be shielded/protected in various ways? what about fast shut downs to prevent damage? &/or backup circuits, &/or cycling down to lower - level, protected modes, older simpler electronics/components that are less vulnerable, etc.? research/look into shielding around radioactive sources?), but also em pulses to block/disrupt communications/control? etc. ? 

knocking out communications to drone with limited or no ai is a potential major drone - killer countermeasure. 

if drones can wipe out big heavily (mANNED) military equipment (land sea air & space?),

& knocking out drone communications cripples drones, 

then what's next... ? 

to protect drones:   

better drone a.i. is one obvious route; but also problematic hard to develop & potentially very dangerous. 

alternate comms ssystems: 

comms techniques/technologies radio/emf, laser/line of sight/site, wire fibreoptics, etc. sound/sonic/audio? 

operators, directions of com link ground, air, sky-satellite, etc. more is pending 

....?

to stop/counter drones:   

comms interference, hacking, highjacking, etc. 

counter-drones? 

....? 

different armies/armedforces/countries that have invested heavily in mechaniz/sed armour or whatever type of equipment & tactics, strategy, philosopy; how will they each react? 




communications & control are (among the) fundamental (things) to operating drones. AI is still limited rn, & could be problematic/risky, as per much scifi about machines running amok, taking over, etc.

so, drone operators & interferers are (among the )critical (points). 

blocking, jamming, or over-riding-hacking comunications and control signals are (among the) key countermeasures to drone use 

maintaining signals com & cont are critical to successful drone operations (&/or good ai thaT CAN OPERATE/CONTINUE INDEPENDENTLY.  how long? & how?  holding pattern? return home? finish the job? finish the job & then what...? -default return home?  

redundant communications systems ? multi channel, muli directional, mutli technique/technology/methods, etc.? what about block/lump communications; with lots of/complete instructions? in bursts? or continuous? structured encrypted with redundant / updated complete/complex/long instruction - set s ?  (a bit like block-chaining transaction histories, but going forward with future/upcoming instructions/commands/responses? in sequences?) 

what about the comms FROM the drone; info, intel, as well as operational/tactical "right now" feedback-info? ? 

spoofing signals in either or both directions could really mess up operations? 

vulnerabilities of drone operators ? locations, etc. (close is a target, far away is easy/easier to jam/block/cut off?  moving/mobile...? 

vulnerabilities of jammers/hijackers, etc.  - highjack controllers have much the same vulnerabilities as ORDINARY/standrd  operaTORS,,

interferrers/interference could be many things?  so vulnerabilities would vary 

how to/do you stop or block, or etc. an em-pulse?  repeat pulse generator s ? etc. ? (ocean's 11 -thing on em-pulse generators?) look up stuff on general radio-signal interference, as well as electromagnertic pulse generating, etc.

back to general stuff:  

(what about fake drones that are actually manned? useful how? cheap manned craft? ) (drones with passengers; human or otherwise? - as opposed to pilots &/or other operators/crew?)

small, light, cheap, unmanned, etc.; drones are deadly to large, heavy, expensive, manned, etc.  military stuff:  tanks, bases, large artillery, etc. 

they can also maneuver faster, harder, & operate in environments that manned equipment & personell/humans cannot....   (natural &/or created uninhabitable conditions... ) 

paradigm shift/change transformation in modern warfare (is coming/here now/starting)? 

usa, china, etc. turks vs russians, azerbaijanis versus armenians, etc. ? 

human/humanitarian aspects ?  negtive & positive impacts? less soldiers (humans_)  in battle? but what about civilian casualties & vulnerabilities?  more precise targetting? but can hit anywhere? antipersonell/civilian attacks , on could be devastating? (as per tht drone operator movie on terrorism, for example)  red cross, medical aide, evac etc . ? robot remote drone doc/medics? (*this is getting out of drone warwfare & military uses even, to generalised, robotics & automation &c.) 

human-impact stuff...-_? 

look into battling robot sports competition, etc. stuff for more ideas ?
