To say Josuke was angry was an understatement, this boy is fuming with rage. Sure he hasn't really made any moves on (y/n), but that doesn't mean that this random kelp hair is allowed to be with her either. And this isn't even the first time they have been alone at his house! Something is definitely up and he will get behind it. "Hey Okuyasu, I've got an idea." The pompadour wearing boy looks at his friend with a mischievous grin. "Oh?" Okuyasu matches his grin as he anticipates his idea. "How about we go over to Rohans and ruin that date of theirs?" Josuke chuckles darkly. "Duuude," Okuyasu looks at him blankly, "Hell yeah! How dare this prick go after my sis!?" And so the two of them get ready to ruin someones day.
"... I share that opinion, giving the two protagonists a rough start and then giving them scenarios that makes them grow attached to each other is a good way to make an emotional attachment for the readers. But I actually wholeheartedly agree that one had to die for the story to progress in a more natural way. The death with the cross shaped ruble may be kind of cliche but it really did the trick." Rohan states, matter of factly. "But he was so cute! He was my favourite character and I really wanted to see him have a long and fulfilling life! He would've deserved that." the girl whines as she grabs another gummy bear. "But it wouldn't be that realistic without having someone die on this dangerous journey. till now only some minor side characters died, but the addition of him made the story realistic." "Oh come on, he was a guy that fought against vampires with bubbles that are infused with sunlight magic, how much realism have we even started with in that story?" She chuckles but then turns stoic. She quickly looks behind herself to just catch a glimpse of two figures ducking under the window outside. "What's wrong? Saw a ghost?" Rohan also looks in the direction, trying to find what she saw. "Two in fact. Seems as if our discussion has to end for today." The male looks at her confused until the doorbell rings. He gets up with a groan from his comfortable position and looks through the small eye to see who's on the other side of the door. No-one. He still opens it and looks around to make sure there really isn't anyone. He huffs and closes the door.
"It seems those two ghosts want to haunt you." He walks back to the couch but before he could sit down rings the bell again. Rohan, now visibly annoyed grumbles as he makes his way to the door yet again. He throws the door open, still no-one around. He closes the door and waits behind it. Nothing. As if someone just waits till he walks away, but Rohan isn't having any of that. (y/n) now decides to join him too. She puts a finger over her mouth to indicate to Rohan to stay silent. He nods and (y/n) vanishes as she summons her stand. She opens the door and walks out, still invisible. The adult man catches on her plan and closes the door after her and walks back to the couch. The door bell rings again, followed with some distraught shouts. He opens the door to see Josuke and Okuyasu get pulled by the ear by a just now getting visible (y/n). "OW OW Owww! Please stop!" Josuke and Okuyasu pout after finally being released from their punishment. "You kids really just came here to make some doorbell pranks?" The green haired guy asks, questioning the company that seems to follow him every where. "Well yeah-" Okuyasu gets a slap to the shoulder by his friend with a glare, "-I mean no! Of course not! Haha..." He scratches the back of his neck, looking at Josuke for help. "We just came here to... to get (y/n), after all it's getting late and a girl shouldn't walk alone at night!" Josuke laughs, trying to hide his embarrassment of being caught. Rohan looks at his wristwatch, it's not even late enough to call it early evening. "Wait could it be?" (y/n) gasps at her sudden realization. "Are you jealous that I get to spend time with a famous mangaka and you're not?" Josuke looks at her wide eyed while Okuyasu looks at her confused. A misunderstanding happened. "What!? NO!" He tries to defend himself but a sudden hand on his shoulder stops him. "Josuke you could've just said so, no need to hide your intention!" The pompadour wearing teen tries to defend himself again, but (y/n)s attention has turned towards Rohan. "Look at this small tsundere acting shy in front of his idol!" She giggles and Rohan only smirks, knowing fully well that is not the case, but this teasing opportunity doesn't come around a second time. And so the teasing begins. "Oh Josuke-Kun no need to act so shy! Please do come in. Wouldn't you love to see the home of your idol?" He smiles sweetly, yet Josuke couldn't help but see a glimpse of the devil from time to time. "Oh yes come in! We were just discussing 'KoKo: Battle Propensity'" (y/n) says as she leads them to the couch area she was sitting in just moments prior. Rohan thankfully also has two armchairs around, so (y/n) chooses to sit on one so that she can make space for Josuke to be closer to his idol. Okuyasu sits down in the other, leaving Josuke to sit on the couch. "Do you want anything to drink?" Rohan says. "Some tea would be nice." Okuyasu says, not reading the vibe of the room. "I'll take some too! Could you put some sugar in mine?" (y/n) says, misunderstanding the vibe of the room. "A water is enough for me..." Josuke says, not looking at the man standing. Rohan leaves for the kitchen.
"Hey (y/n), why are you even here?" Josuke asks as he leans forward with a hand next to his mouth, shushing his words so that a certain someone can't hear him. "That's an easy one. Rohan asked to meet up after finding out I have a stand and here I am." "Sis, you shouldn't just believe every stranger you meet." She pouts, "Oku, I met him through you though.... if he wanted to kill me then he had so many opportunities to do so. Hell he even had to chance to just kidnap me, but he didn't. Not every weird person is a bad person." The boys look at her still not swayed. "I may not look like it, but I'm pretty good with judging a persons character. My gut feeling has never been wrong. I know that Rohan is a good person. He only acts cold on the outside but deep down he's a kind soul that must be lonely. Such a harsh outer shell can make it hard to connect with people after all." The two boys cover their mouths as comical tears fall down their face. 'A-an angel!' They think. Unbeknownst to them, the green haired mangaka stands behind a wall a tray in hand. He eavesdropped on the conversation at the mention of his name. He grips the tray harder as a new feeling spreads around his body. Never has he received such a genuine compliment in his life. "-But I don't pity him." His interest has perked up yet again. "He chose this lifestyle and I respect that. I gave him the choice of contacting me or not, and he did, so I will support him with all I have. That's what friends do after all!" Rohan walks back to the kitchen, he's heard enough and needs to sort his thoughts before getting back to his guests. "(n/n) we don't deserve such a pure soul like you" Okuyasu says as he grips her shoulder, still crying. "Pfff say that again after seeing my search history" They all laugh. They continue waiting. Josuke scans his surroundings a bit and spots a sketchbook on the table. "Is that Rohans's?" "Oh no it's mine, if you want you can take a look inside." He quickly garbs the book and opens it, letting out an 'Ohh' as he sees the first drawing. "Wha- Hey no fair! I wanna see too!" Okuyasu jumps up from his spot and scoots next to Josuke to get a good look. The girl chuckles at their antics and looks back to where Rohan left. "You can draw really well! Are you sure you're not like a pro is disguise?" "What? No way! Have you seen Rohans's drawings? Mine are just ok." Finally Rohan arrives with three cups of tea and a glass filled with ice cubes. "That's right, your drawings are only ok." Josuke and Okuyasu glare at the man as he places the cups on the table. "I can guess that you may have had some phases where you drew only once a day at best, on the other hand I the great Rohan Kishibe do nothing else but draw with every free second I find." He proudly states and puts the glass of ice cubes in front of Josuke. Then he sits down in the seat next to (y/n). Josuke scoffs, "Pah! Don't make yourself seem so great just because you don't have any other hobbies or friends!" then he points at the (h/c) haired girl, "And you! Don't just take every insult like that without saying something in defense!" She looks at him questioningly. "But Josuke-Kun, drawing is literally a skill that you gain through practice. All Rohan just now stated were facts. I'm a very lazy person and sometimes just don't want to draw when I have the time. If you were to see the dates I write down when the pictures are finsihed, you'd see major jumps. Rohan is so good at drawing because he draws. I'm only ok at drawing because I draw sometimes. Nothing that much to say about all this."
"Ugh anyways, what's up with my glass?" Josuke says, as he realizes this topic will lead nowhere. The attention is now o the glass filled with ice cubes. The girl giggles lightly as she immediately gets the implications. "Oh come on," she lightly punches Rohan, who just smirked, "You shouldn't just tell your guest to wait till the ice melts for a glass of water!" "Oh!" Okuyasu laughs as he finally gets the joke. Josuke only glares at the dark green haired man some more.
(y/n) drinks the rest of her tea and notices the time. "Oh damn I've been here for way too long! I've probably prevented you from working haven't I? I'm so sorry." She quickly grabs all of her things and stuffs them in her bag. "You sure have. Ah that reminds me." Rohan gets up and walks over to the kitchen again. He comes back with an empty bottle. "You forgot this last time. My home is not some random trash can!" Rohan says as he holds the bottle in her face. She grabs the bottle and looks up at the man. His annoyed expression looks somehow forced and she can't help but keep in a laugh at his funny face. "Yes sorry." She stands up and looks at the two boys. "Are you coming with me or?" "Right!" The two get quickly up and follow her to the door. They walk out first. "Thank you again for having me- us thanks for having us." "Yeah you better be. It's not everyday I do such things." "If you're free sometime you should totally come over to my place! Or we could go out and grab some drinks?" He looks at her softly. "Sure." She smiles brightly and walks out too. She waves bye until the door fully closes. "Man I hate this guy..." Josuke mumbles as they start walking. "Oh right Okuyasu, you got any homework for tomorrow?" "Nah I dun think so... " "Wanna like have a movie marathon at my place? Oh right (y/n) you can come over too if you want." Josuke thought of this since first period. "Sure, I got some time." "Hell yeah! It's gonna be so much fun!" Okuyasu chimes in. Josuke silently thanks the gods that the first part of his plan has seemed to properly worked out. Now to see if the rest works out too.
