Chapter 6 (Feelings)

"You saw what I did with the others, so you know what I'm doing," you told Toy Bonnie.

"Mhm," he hummed.

You shook your head and kneeled down to his feet. You wiped the top of his feet off, and Toy Bonnie huffed. You started to wipe between his toes and he quickly lifted his foot.

"Hey! That tickles!" he pouted.

"Well, sorry. Give me your foot back," you demanded.

He groaned as he slowly set his foot down. You finished his feet, almost literally getting a kick out of him. You wiped his calves, causing him to flinch. You paused and looked up at him; his eyes zoomed in to look at your unamused expression. He chuckled, and you rolled your eyes. You finished his calves and started on his thighs, making sure to get the insides of them. As soon as you were done with his legs, you wiped off his tummy, and he chuckled. You wiped down his side, and he flinched.

"Woah! Careful where you put your hands there!" he barked as his ears fell back.

"Seriously," you muttered.

You quickly wiped his other side, before walking around him and wiping off his back. His ears perked up as you wiped his upper back. You walked back in front of him, and started on his upper half. You wiped off the dried up pizza sauce that was smeared onto him. You tried to be as gentle as you could, as you attempted to scrub it off. Toy Bonnie zoomed in to look closer at your concentrated face. His ears slowly fell to his sides as his eyes glowed a light pink. You looked up at him curiously, and met his eyes. His eyes subtly expanded to their normal sizes as he looked away, realizing that you were watching him.

When you got the sauce off him, you decided to clean the washcloth. You turned around and did so, ringing it out afterwards. You turned back to Toy Bonnie, and he lifted his arm for you to wipe. You gave his shoulder, upper arm, and lower arm, a quick wipe. You grabbed one of his hands, and pulled it to you. You wiped off his palm, and then his fingers. You let his hand go, but it remained holding yours. You looked up at Toy Bonnie, to see him gazing at you. This time, he didn't break your eye contact. He entangled his fingers between yours as his eyes focused on your face.

You looked down at your hand, and Toy Bonnie quickly let it go. He put out his other arm, and you continued to wash it. You moved the washcloth up to his face, and carefully wiped off his snout, earning a quick huff from him. You stood closer to him as you wiped off his cheeks, and the back of his head. You wiped off the top of his head, before starting on his ears. Toy Bonnie's eyes slowly started to close as you rubbed his ears, and a low grinding sound came from his mouth.

"Woah, are you okay?" you worried, pausing for a second.

"What? Yeah. That just feels good," he sighed, his eyes remaining closed.

"Huh?" you asked.

"It feels like you're giving my ear a gentle massage," he murmured.

A small smile etched its way on your face as you continued to wipe off his ears. When you were done, his ears twitched and he opened his eyes to look at you. You smiled at him and he tilted his head. You quickly set the washcloth into the bucket, and turned back to Toy Bonnie. You wiped your hands on your pants, and rolled down your sleeves. You stood on your tiptoes and tried to wrap your hands around the bottom part of his ears. You began to rub your thumbs and index fingers in circles; you didn't know how much pressure to put, as his ears were made of plastic. You felt kind of awkward, giving an animatronic an ear massage. His eyes closed and his head tilted forward, letting you stand back on your heels. You held back a giggle, and he started to purr. You moved your hands away from him, and he stopped, waiting for you to continue. He opened his eyes and looked up at you. He grunted, and you laughed.

"What was that?" he wondered.

"I just wanted to see something," you chuckled.

"What?"

"You're cute," you said, and his eyes started to glow; you grinned at him, and his ears fell back defensively.

"I'm not cute," he grumbled, crossing his arms.

"You two are so cute!" you heard a squeal, and you looked over to see Toy Chica lying in the left air vent, watching you two.

"How long have you been there?" you wondered.

"The whole time! You guys are like perfect for each other!" she exclaimed.

"Whatever happend to 'privacy'?"

"Ooh. I'll leave you two lovebirds alone then," she snickered as she crawled backwards.

"No, that's not what I meant!" you blurted, but she was already gone.

"Don't worry babe, I know what you meant," Toy Bonnie assured you.

"Babe?" you asked sternly.

"Not that nickname? I-I thought it would've been better than 'soft-flesh,' " he chuckled nervously.

"Not that nickname," you told him, and he nodded.

You walked around the desk and sat in the chair. Toy Freddy walked in and grabbed the bucket, before leaving as quickly as he had arrived. You raised an eyebrow in confusion. You shook your head and stared ahead. Toy Bonnie walked around the desk and stood next to you. He kneeled down beside you, and looked over at you.

"What're you thinking about?" he wondered.

"Why didn't you guys tell me all this earlier? I could've prevented what the spirit in Mangle did, from happening," you croaked as you looked over at him, not caring that you were nose to nose with him.

"Well, we had only known you for a day. We didn't know we could trust you with our secrets. Besides, we wouldn't have known that Mangle's spirit would do that," Toy Bonnie assured you.

"Why do you trust me now? I haven't done anything to earn it," you wondered.

"Because you came back," he replied.

"I only came back because I had a job to do," you mumbled.

"No you didn't. You came back because of what Marionette had said. When the human brain is given questions, it can't help but to want to know the answers. Marionette left you with the thought that if you didn't come back, you would never know the answers," Toy Bonnie explained.

"If my brain only made me come here, that's still not a reason to trust me."

"You came here on your own, (Y/N). You packed your things, and physically came back. You trust us enough to live with us, right? The only thing we could do in return, was to tell you our pasts," he added, tilting his head at you.

". . . But, they're closing the place down at the end of the year, Bonnie. What are we supposed to do about that?" you worried.

"I-. . . I don't know. I'm sure we can think of something before then, though," he assured you.

"I've barely got to know you, yet it feels like . . . I don't know," you babbled as you turned the chair to face him.

"Are you trying to say that I'm your favourite?" he crowed.

"You're beyond my favourite, Bonbon. You're like my soul mate," you admitted and Toy Bonnie's eyes shined brightly as his ears fell to the side. "My best friend."

"Oh," he grunted as his ears fell back and his eye's lights defused. "Did you just friendzone me?"

You jumped at him, wrapping your arms around his neck. His eyes widened and his ears perked up. You stuffed your face into his shoulder, and he hesitantly put his arms around you.

"I don't want to lose you already," you whispered as a few tears fell down your cheeks.

"I-it's okay," he said as he carefully hugged you back, "I'm not going anywhere."

". . . I-I'm sorry," you mumbled as you let him go and leaned back.

"No, it's okay," he muttered as he reached his arms out to you.

You whimpered cautiously as you stepped back. Toy Bonnie's ears fell to his sides as he quickly pulled his arms back. He looked to the side bashfully as he sunk in his position.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting you to try and hug me again. I thought you were trying to-" you stopped yourself, not wanting to give Toy Bonnie the wrong idea.

"No, I understand. You don't trust me," he mumbled as he stood up.

"No, I do trust you. You had just startled me," you tried to convince him.

"It's okay, (Y/N). I'm just gonna leave you to think on what Marionette told you," Toy Bonnie croaked as he started to turn around; you quickly slid your arms around his torso, laying your head on his bow tie.

"Don't go," you protested; he didn't hesitate to hug you back.

You looked up at him and smiled sweetly, making sure he knew you were done with the hug. You slowly stepped back, and Toy Bonnie's arms slid from around your back. You held his eye contact for a few seconds, and his eyes glowed lightly, which you assumed was his way of blushing. You heard a muffled squeal, and you looked over, to see Toy Chica lying in the left air vent again.

"Privacy!" Toy Bonnie barked.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't hold it in any longer," Toy Chica squeaked, trying to hold in her excitement.

"Any longer? When did you get back here?" you wondered.

"I never left," she admitted, and you crossed your arms scoldingly. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to miss anything! I crawled back enough so you couldn't see me, and then when you got back involved into each other, I sneakily crawled forward."

"Involved into each other? What's that supposed to mean?"

"You two were so deep in each other's eyes that you didn't notice me crawl back!" she chuckled, and you furrowed your eyebrows; you heard Toy Bonnie grunt, and you looked over at him, to see his eyes shining brightly and his ears down.

"Get out, will ya!" he bellowed as he pointed towards the hallway.

"Mangle's in the other vent!" Toy Chica tattled.

"Chica!" Mangle blurted, and you turned around to see her in the right air vent.

"Everyone get out!" Toy Bonnie boomed as he stomped his foot and closed his eyes in frustration.

"We're leaving," Toy Chica muttered as she and Mangle got out of the vents and walked into the hallway.

"And don't come back!" he ranted as his tail flicked.

"Fine. I'll go then," you gibed as you put your hands up, and Toy Bonnie quickly turned to look at you.

"No, urgh," he groaned, and you snickered.

"Don't worry babe, I know what you meant," you sneered, mimicking what he said earlier.

He glared at you, and you laughed; he crossed his arms and whined poutingly. You looked behind you as you sat in the chair. You rolled forward and patted the desk, gesturing for Toy Bonnie to sit down. He looked down at the desk, and then up at you, you smiled warmly; his ears fell to the side, and he groaned.

"Fine, just let me go grab my guitar from the Show Stage real quick, and then I'll be right back," he scoffed.

"Yay! Hey, could you lock the front doors while you're in there?" you asked as you took the keys out of your pocket.

"Sure," he muttered as he stuck out his hand, you dropped them into it and he walked out of the office.

You tried to watch him through the darkness, but you couldn't see him. You grabbed the tablet off the desk and quickly turned it on. You flipped over to the Main Hall and turned on the light. Toy Bonnie was halfway through the hall. He looked up at the camera and winked at you, and you giggled. A deep voice chuckled with you, and your heart lurched. You slowly lowered the tablet, and saw a moldy yellow bear animatronic sitting on the floor.

". . . Um, hello?" you uttered nervously.

"Hello," he responded in a raspy voice.

"Who are you?" you wondered.

"My name is Fredbear. You don't seem to be afraid of me?" he mentioned.

"Oh, you don't look much different from the rest of the animatronics. Just more beaten up," you told him.

He chuckled, and you raised an eyebrow as he shifted. He stood up, with incredible ease, seeming as though he were on strings. You moved from the chair, and took a step back as he walked towards you. His body became blurry, and you blinked. When you opened your eyes back, he suddenly appeared to have skin and fur, looking like some type of anthropomorphic being, rather than an animatronic. Your mouth opened in shock, and he stood in front of you. He had yellowish fur, and he had bends and curves instead of plastic joints and hard edges. A small wave of nausea hit you, but it only lasted for a second.

"What?" you managed to say, and Fredbear chuckled. "Am I dreaming?"

"No, you aren't," he replied as he smiled at you.

"How is this possible?" you muttered.

"It isn't possible, and I'm not real," he said, and tipped his hat.

"Huh?" you babbled, sounding dumbfounded.

"Hey, (Y/N), who're you talking to?" Toy Bonnie wondered, and you looked over, watching him walk out of the darkness with a guitar in his hands.

You looked back at Fredbear and pointed to him, but he was gone. You blinked a few times, taking a step back. One of Toy Bonnie's ears fell over questioningly. You looked around the room for Fredbear, but he seemed to have just disappeared.

"Hey, are you okay?" Toy Bonnie worried as he walked around the desk.

"I . . . I saw this yellow animatronic, who said that his name was Fredbear. He stood up and walked up to me, and suddenly, he was like this anthro bear that had yellow fur, and skin," you explained spastically.

"A hallucination?" Toy Bonnie mused as he looked towards the floor.

"Yeah, as soon as I looked away, he disappeared," you added.

"Why now? Say, do you feel nervous around us animatronics?" Toy Bonnie wondered as he set his guitar on the desk.

"No," you replied.

"So, if I were to do this," Toy Bonnie harshly grabbed your wrist, and you looked up at him wide-eyed.

He towered over you, and you tried to pry his hand off you. He glared at you as he quickly grabbed your other hand, and pulled them apart. You yelped as you tried to pull away from him. He pulled you towards him as his pupils contracted and his mouth opened wide.

"Please don't hurt me!" you pleaded as you closed your eyes.

"You don't trust me," Toy Bonnie mumbled as his grip loosened.

"What?" you quavered, and you looked up at him, to see him back to normal, with his ears to his side.

"You don't, trust me," he sighed as he let go of your hands and closed his eyes.

". . . Are you serious?" you snapped as you pushed him away, and Toy Bonnie looked at you. "You can not do that to me! You don't just grab someone's wrists against their own will, and then blame them for not trusting you!"

"I was just trying to prove a point," he objected.

"That's not how you do it!" you stormed, and then crossed your arms. You scoffed, "Ugh, I can't believe you!"

"Hey, um, I know you guys wanted your privacy and all, but what's with all the yelling?" Toy Chica worried as she stepped into the office, followed by Toy Freddy and Mangle.

"This asswipe-"

"Careful there," Mangle murmured.

"Apparently, trying to prove the point that I don't trust him, Toy Bonnie grabbed my wrists and pulled me towards him," you explained as you pointed at him.

"Bon, why would you do that? Wait, it sounds like he was just trying to give you a hug," Toy Chica said.

"He was glaring at me!" you ranted.

"Yeah, why would you do that?" Toy Chica repeated.

"I just wanted to see whether she trusted me or not. She had a hallucination," Toy Bonnie protested.

"She had a hallucination?" Toy Freddy worried.

"Yeah," Toy Bonnie added.

"Love, do you really trust us?" Mangle asked you.

"Yes, I do trust you guys," you assured them, getting agitated that they weren't taking your word for it.

"I asked her earlier if she was nervous around us, and she said no! I couldn't tell if she was being serious, or if she was hiding how she really felt," Toy Bonnie revealed.

"I can see where you were going with it, but why didn't you just sit her down and talk with her?" Toy Freddy added.

". . . I-I don't know. I just thought, and did," Toy Bonnie stammered.

"Not cool, man," you huffed as you crossed your arms.

"We'll leave you two to talk," Toy Chica said, as she and the rest walked out.

As they left, Toy Bonnie looked over at you with his ears down; you were looking over at the floor, with your eyebrows furrowed. He grabbed the chair and rolled it towards you. You looked up at him, to see his longing face. He patted the back of the chair, and you scoffed. He whined, and you rolled your eyes, trying to hide your smile. You sighed and turned to sit in the chair. He rolled you with him as he sat on the desk, putting the chair between his knees.

He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. You leaned back, as his face came to yours. One of his ears fell over as he hummed questioningly. He grabbed your wrist, and you quickly grabbed his hand, looking at him with wide eyes. He carefully placed his other hand over yours, and looked up at you warmingly. You hesitantly moved your hand, and he flipped over your hand, placing his thumb on a certain spot.

"What are you doing?" you asked.

"I'm going to ask you a question. This time, I want you to tell me the truth, okay?" Toy Bonnie explained.

"Okay," you replied.

"Is it true, that you're wearing a shirt?" he said, looking at your face in concentration.

"What?" you chuckled.

"Just answer truthfully."

"Yes."

"Okay, now I want you to lie. Is it true that you're wearing a shirt?"

"No," you replied.

"Okay then," he muttered.

"What were you doing?" you wondered.

"I was looking at your behaivor, telling the difference between when you're telling the truth, and when you are lying," he explained.

"Oh," you mumbled.

"Alright, you ready to talk?" he asked.

"Not really," you muttered, and he chuckled.
