Chapter 29 (Bodies)

"Hey, wait a minute . . . Mangle, you still don't have any- . . . Hmm." You squinted in thought.

"What?" Mangle tilted her head.

"Hm . . ."

"Thank you!" Toy Chica cheered, breaking the silence and catching your attention.

"Oh, yes, thank you, dear," Mangle added.

"Yeah, thanks." Toy Freddy straightened his collar.

Toy Bonnie pulled you into a hug, wrapping his arms around you. "Thank you for all of this."

You hugged him back, blushing some. "It's no problem, really."

Toy Bonnie released you and smiled at you. You smiled back. Toy Chica squealed, running up and tackling you in a hug. You chuckled nervously, hugging her back.

"Hey, get off her!" Toy Bonnie barked in jealousy, and Toy Chica released you bashfully.

You sneered, and Toy Bonnie huffed. You pulled him over to you, rolling your eyes. His face reddened as you hugged him. He averted his eyes from your soft gaze. You pulled away from him, walking towards the hall.

"Where are you going?" Toy Freddy asked.

"Do I have to keep you updated on everything I do?" you retorted, glaring at him.

"I was just wondering," Toy Freddy grumbled, glaring back at you.

"I'm going to lay down for a bit," you told him.

"I'll come with you," Toy Bonnie stated.

"Okay."

You walked into your room and over to your bed. You threw yourself over it and onto your back. Toy Bonnie crawled over you and lied beside you. You sighed, stretching your arms and resting your hands under your head. Toy Bonnie rolled onto his side and looked at you.

"This is nice." You smiled.

"Yeah."

". . . Hey, I've been meaning to ask you—for about a year, apparently—how come you and the rest don't have to eat or use the bathroom?" You stared up at the ceiling.

"We don't have to sleep, either. We just do when you do, because we don't know what else to do," Toy Bonnie pointed out.

"Why, though?" You looked over, to see his irises contracted twice their usual size. You jumped back. "Holy fu-augh!" You fell off the bed, though your feet stayed on it.

Toy Bonnie gasped, crawling over and leaning off the edge to look at you. "Are you okay, boo?"

"Mmgh," you grunted, pushing yourself up to lean on your elbows. "What was that?"

"Sorry. You just looked cute," Toy Bonnie whispered the last part, quiet enough that you couldn't hear it.

"Were you, like, zooming in, like how you did when you were an animatronic?" you babbled.

"Yeah." Toy Bonnie nodded.

"How? Did that ability not go away?" you continued.

"No. We're still robots."

"What? So, are your skeletons made of metal, like endoskeletons? Do you guys have wires instead of veins? Do you guys have hearts, or 'hearts'?"

"I don't know."

"Hm . . ."

"Here," Toy Bonnie chuckled nervously, putting a hand out for you.

You grabbed it and attempted to pull yourself up, but Toy Bonnie lost his balance and fell. He widened his eyes, realizing that he had fallen on top of you. He pushed himself up, to hover above you. You stared at each other for a moment.

"Ah-ah, I'm sorry!" he blurted as he started to stand up.

"No." You grabbed his arm, pulling him back down. "It's comfy."

"Hm?" Toy Bonnie hummed.

You chuckled, humming back. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him down farther, until he was lying on top of you. He straightened out his legs, sliding them under the bed some. You took in a deep breath, making Toy Bonnie rise with your chest. You sighed, closing your eyes.

‏‏‎
You groaned, stretching as you woke up. You then realized that Toy Bonnie was still on you, and asleep. You rubbed your eyes. Toy Bonnie raised his head to look at you. His face went red, he too realizing that he was still on top of you.

"Morning, Bonbon." Your nose sounded stuffy—and it was.

"Good morning, boo. Are you okay? You sound weird," Toy Bonnie worried.

"It's just a stuffy nose. That's all," you assured him.

Toy Bonnie pushed himself up and stood above you. He helped you up, this time, not falling. You yawned, which then turned into coughing. Toy Bonnie put a hand on your back, looking at you with worry. You gestured that you were alright.

"Hey, what do you want to do now that you've got your own human body?" you wondered.

"I don't know. What do people usually do?" Toy Bonnie wondered.

"Well, people usually have a job to do, but I don't think you guys can get jobs. So, we can just do stuff around the house. Do you think the rest are awake?"

"Yeah. None of us need sleep, remember?"

"Oh, right. Oh! You guys are still robots!" you exclaimed.

"Yeah," Toy Bonnie chuckled.

"I remember that."

You walked out of the room, with Toy Bonnie following you. The TV could be heard. You looked back at Toy Bonnie curiously, to which he looked back just as curious. You looked around the corner, to see the rest sitting on the couch watching Sesame Street.

"Hey, you guys know how to work the TV! I'm proud of you!" you laughed.

"Yeah! Good morning, by the way," Mangle said.

"Good morning, (Y/N)! Good morning, Toy Bonnie!" Toy Chica cheered.

"Good morning." Toy Freddy waved.

"Hello," Balloon Boy laughed, which was his way of saying 'good morning.'

"Morning. So, what are you guys wanting to do today?"

"We can watch TV," Toy Freddy suggested, leaning back lazily.

"Not the whole day. Maybe until I wake up, but we're not just sitting here the whole day," you said, snuffling.

Toy Freddy groaned. You moved his legs over, so you could sit on the couch. He grunted as Balloon Boy giggled. Toy Bonnie looked at you, as if to tell you to get up. You patted your thighs, gesturng for him to sit down.

"I'm not sitting in your lap." Toy Bonnie huffed, blushing some.

"Right, I need to get something to eat." You stood up. "Do you guys want something? Oh, right, you guys don't need to eat. Hey, wait a minute, you guys didn't tell me that you were still robots!"

"We didn't think we would have to," Mangle pointed out, looking to the rest.

"Well, I thought since you guys left your animatronic bodies, you guys were humans."

"No." Toy Freddy shook his head.

You didn't really have anything else, so you dropped the subject. You stood up and walked around the counter, into the kitchen. You paused, thinking of what you could eat. Toy Bonnie walked over and watched you intently. You hummed, figuring that you could just get some cereal. You got a bowl from the cupboard and poured yourself some.

"Do you want some?" You noticed Toy Bonnie's stare, and he shook his head. "Suit yourself."

You finished making your cereal, pouring the milk in your bowl. You started eating it on your way back to the couch, as Toy Bonnie followed you. You plopped back down on the couch, careful not to spill your cereal all over yourself.

"No, get up," Toy Bonnie insisted.

"Nuh-uh! Just- Here." You scooted towards Mangle and Toy Chica.

Toy Chica sat on the arm of the chair to give Mangle some room to sit. Toy Bonnie crossed his arms stubbornly, looking the other way. You took that opportunity to pull him down. He landed beside you, between you and Toy Freddy. He huffed, but got comfortable. You rolled your eyes, chuckling.

‏‏‎
You started to stand up, but Toy Bonnie stopped you. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?"

"I'm going to put my dishes in the sink," you chuckled nervously, questioning his sudden hostility.

"Let me put it in there for you." Toy Bonnie grabbed your bowl from you.

"Since when did you have good manners?" you chuckled.

"Since I realized that I was in the presence of a goddess."

"Oh my God!" you burst out in laughter, which evolved to a fit of coughing.

"Are you okay?"

"No! That was so cheesy!" you wheezed.

"Why don't you rest some?" Toy Bonnie started to guide you to your bedroom.

"No, I'm fine." You pulled away.

"(Y/N), you've been stuffy and coughing all day! You're not fine! Now, get some rest!" Toy Bonnie argued.

"Yeah, you sound sick, dear," Mangle added.

"Whatever," you grumbling, sniffling.

Toy Bonnie handed Toy Chica the bowl, who looked down at it questioningly. He escorted you to your room and laid you in your bed.

"You know, I'm fine. I've just been coughing, that's all," you told him.

"It doesn't matter. You still need your rest."

"I've been sleeping a lot lately, so rest is the last thing I need."

"Shush."

You were about to retort, but Toy Bonnie kissed your forehead, making you stop. Your face went red, and Toy Bonnie laughed. You pulled him onto the bed and cuddled up with him. Now it was his turn to go red in the face.
