Chapter 18 (Decisions)
You opened your eyes and yawned, shifting around uncomfortably. Last night you hadn't even took off your shoes, and your jeans were twisted around. When you rolled over to see a figure staring at you, you flinched and sat up. Toy Bonnie's ears twitched, and you relaxed.
"What is with people watching me sleep?" you complained.
"Sorry. You're just so beautiful," Toy Bonnie mumbled.
"Mm-" you hummed as you wiped your eyes, but stopped yourself when you remembered your plans.
". . . Did you sleep well?" Toy Bonnie asked nervously.
"Yeah," you whispered.
You threw the blanket off yourself as you kicked your feet onto the floor. Toy Bonnie stood up and took a step back as you kneeled onto the floor. You pulled out your suitcase and opened it; grabbing a large grey sweatshirt and slipping it on, and pulling out a pack of mint gum. You grabbed a bottle of perfume and spritzed some under your sweater, and stuck a piece of gum in your mouth; you weren't in the mood to take the time to care for yourself.
You pushed the suitcase back under the couch and slipped the pack of gum into your back pocket. You stood up and ran your hands through your hair, getting the tangles out. You shuffled towards the kitchen swinging doors, and Toy Bonnie quickly walked beside you.
"Going back up into the pizzeria?" Toy Bonnie blurted.
"Yeah," you murmured as you continued towards the doors.
"Well, I love you," he gushed, hoping to get a reply, and you paused.
". . . Um, me too," you replied as you flashed him a fake smile, before quickly leaving the room; Toy Bonnie stared at the doors in thought, not bothering to follow you.
You climbed the steps and pushed the hatch open. Peeking out, you didn't see any animatronic around, so you quietly stepped onto the stage and shut the hatch. You pulled your phone out of your pocket to look at the time: 1:43 PM; it was already past opening time, so you assumed that the pizzeria was officially closed. Toy Freddy walked from the Main Hall and looked over at you.
"Hi, (Y/N)," Toy Freddy said.
"Um, hey, Toy Freddy," you replied as he walked to the edge of the Show Stage.
"You probably already know this, but a few men were here last night to take the old crew away. For some reason, they also took Marionette with them," he mentioned.
"They took Marionette?" you muttered.
"Yeah. Balloon Boy isn't taking Foxy being gone, so well," he added.
"Where is Balloon Boy?" you wondered.
"He's in the Parts/Service Room," Toy Freddy told you.
"Is he alone?" you asked.
"Yeah. Why?"
"Oh, just- The poor thing."
". . . If you want, you can go see him, maybe some company will make him feel better," he suggested.
"Where are you going?" you asked.
"I'm gonna shut down for a few," he told you, and you nodded.
As he stepped up onto the Show Stage, you hopped down. You stepped back into one of the tables as you watched him stand in his place; his eyes went dark as he closed his eyes. You looked around the pizzeria for something you could use to dismantle Balloon Boy; Toy Bonnie's guitar was laying on the table behind you. You looked over at Toy Freddy and waved at him, seeing if he would respond; when he didn't, you quickly grabbed the guitar and walked into the Main Hall.
When you got to the end of the hall, you stood in front of the door and paused. You took in a deep breath and grabbed the doorknob, slowly and quietly opening it. Balloon Boy stood facing the far corner, his sign and balloon were drooped down by his sides; you felt kind of bad for him.
"Hey, Balloon Boy," you said softly as you stepped into the room; you set the guitar against the wall and closed the door behind you, locking it.
"Hi," Balloon Boy replied sadly, staying faced the other way.
"You know, I bet Foxy's thinking of you right now?" you began as you walked up behind him. "Maybe I'll go take you to see him when the pizzeria opens."
You placed your hands on Balloon Boy's shoulder, and he glanced over, before looking back towards the corner. You snaked your arm around his throat, and he chuckled nervously. You quickly pushed your knee into his back and used your weight to pull up on Balloon Boy's head; he dropped his balloon and sign in surprise. Before he could reach up to pull at your arms, his head came off. You let out a deep sigh as his body went limp; you dropped his head onto the floor.
You stepped on his back and bent down to grab his hands. You held his body in place as you pulled at his arms. As they came out of their sockets, you stumbled back a bit. You quickly dropped them and started on his legs, pulling them off one at a time. When you were done, you looked around at the scatter of body parts, wondering if that would count as dismantled. You started to feel guilty that you didn't feel guilty about destroying him.
You took a few steps back, and grabbed the guitar. You flicked off the light and opened the door. As you stepped out, you reached in and locked it, closing it. You turned the knob, making sure it stayed locked, to find it not budging. You nodded and turned around, starting down the hallway. You pushed the girls' bathroom door open a bit and placed the guitar on the other side, against the wall, thinking that it may come in handy later. You walked into the dining area, to see Toy Bonnie standing at one of the tables. He looked over at you, his ears to the side of his head.
"Have you seen my guitar?" Toy Bonnie asked.
"Your guitar?" you repeated as your heart skipped a beat.
"Yeah, I laid it on this table earlier. Now it's gone," he worried.
"I don't know where your guitar is," you replied nervously.
"Oh," Toy Bonnie squeaked as he passed you and walked into the Main Hall.
You sighed as you walked forward; Toy Freddy was still on stage, shut down, and you assumed Mangle and Toy Chica were in Kids' Cove. You walked across the pizzeria, past the Game Area. When you got to the doorway, you peeked into the room; Toy Chica and Mangle were sitting on the floor in the corner, they hadn't saw you. You couldn't dismantle them both at the same time, so you had to wait until one of them leaved.
You quickly stepped to the side, on the other side of Marionette's box. You grabbed the lid and lifted it up some, to see nothing; Marionette really was gone. You moved the lid over and stepped over and into the box. Since Marionette could fit into it, you thought that you could too. You sat down and moved the lid over to cover the top, engulfing you in darkness. You could barely hear them talking, so one of them walking by would probably be audibly obvious. It was starting to get really hot, so you opened the lid a bit, to let some cool air in.
It was 5:15 PM, you had been in Marionette's box for three hours. Toy Chica nor Mangle had left Kids' Cove yet, and your back was aching. You had preoccupied yourself with some reading, but you couldn't stand being in that box anymore. You pushed the lid off the box as you stood up, and Toy Bonnie looked over at you from one of the tables. His head tilted as you stepped out of the box and stretched.
"That's where you were?" Toy Bonnie called to you as he stood up; you sighed and started towards him. "When I came back in here and didn't see you, I thought you had gone back into the employees' lounge, but when I went down there, you weren't there. So then I thought, that you must've went out to that 'gym' place. I started to get worried after you didn't come back for a while."
"Oh, well, I'm here," you replied as you walked around the table.
"I haven't been able to find my guitar yet," he mumbled.
"Yeah, I haven't been able to find my phone, either," you lied.
"Really?" he asked.
"No, I don't know where it is," you added as you glanced towards the front doors; it was already dark outside.
"Could it be down in the employees' lounge?" he suggested.
"No, I don't think so. How about, you check in the Party Rooms and the office, and I'll check here in the rest of the pizzeria," you said.
"What if it's in the employees' lounge?" Toy Bonnie wondered.
"I'll have Toy Chica check down there. We'll just keep looking, until we find them," you advised.
"What if we check, and we check, and we still can't find them?" he worried.
"Then we check again," you stated.
"O-okay." He nodded, and made his way to the Main Hall.
You watched him walk through the doorway, and stop in front of the boys' restroom. He opened the door and peeked inside, and not seeing anything, he closed it. He stepped in front of the girls' restroom door, and your heart leaped into your throat. He shook his head and walked down the hall and around the corner; you sighed and scratched the back of your neck. You walked back around the table, and shuffled towards Kids' Cove. You walked through the doorway, and Mangle and Toy Chica looked up at you.
"Heya, (Y/N)!" Toy Chica exclaimed.
"Hey. I need you to check in the employees' lounge for my phone and Toy Bonnie's guitar," you requested.
"Okay, sure," she replied.
"Toy Bonnie's checking back in the Party Rooms, and I'm looking in the rest of the pizzeria," you told her, and she nodded; she walked past you and out of the room.
"Do you need me to do anything?" Mangle wondered.
"No," you muttered as you walked towards her. "Not really."
"Alright then," she replied as you kneeled down and sat beside her; she tilted her head at you, and you smiled sweetly. "Do you need something?"
"How can you deal with being all mangled like this?" you wondered as you trailed your finger along the jaw of her second head; your heart raced as you thought out her dismemberment, it was kind of like you were murdering someone, but you couldn't think like that, or you'd never do it.
". . . Well, after a while, you kind of get used to it," she told you.
"You said that the kids weren't able to get to your voice box? Where is it?" you asked.
"Yeah, it's here in my throat," she said as she pointed to her neck.
You looked to where she gestured, and saw a small, circular device in the casing of her endoskeleton. You stretched your hand towards her and reached your fingers between the frame. She flinched back as you touched her voice box, and you looked up at her.
"Careful there, sugar. You may-" before she could finish her sentence, you pulled out the device, ripping it from the wires it was connected to.
She grasped her hand over her throat, and looked up at you with wide eyes. You grabbed her extra head and ripped it from the socket, tossing it to the side. You grabbed at one of her limbs, and she quickly gripped onto your wrist, pushing you away. You looked over at her as you tried to push against her, and she opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something.
"Please, don't fight it," you pleaded, and Mangle loosened her grip on you. "I'm sorry. If you don't come back, I just want you to know, that I love you."
Mangle let your hand go, and you dropped it by your side. She reached over and hugged you, and you hugged her back. As she pulled away, your eyes started to water. She laid her head on the floor, and her eyes went dark as she closed her eyes. You wiped the tears from your eyes and sighed deeply. You continued to dismantle her, pulling everything from its socket.
When you were finished, you stood up and turned away from your mess; you didn't want to see what you did to Mangle, and end up being slapped by reality. You left the room and walked across the pizzeria. You walked into the Main Hall and went to the girls' bathroom, to get Toy Bonnie's guitar; you could use it to catch Toy Chica off her guard.
You walked back into the dining area, and jumped up onto the Show Stage, careful not to "wake" Toy Freddy. You quietly opened the hatch and walked down the steps, closing it behind you. You tip-toed towards the doors, and crouched beside them.
"Toy Chica!" you yelled.
You gripped the neck of the guitar tightly as you heard footsteps coming closer. Toy Chica walked through the swinging doors and walked into the kitchen, looking around for you. You stood up and walked behind her, lifting the guitar over your head. You swung the guitar at her with all your might, bashing her in the back of the head. She dropped to the floor, and started twitching, as if her circuits were glitching. You set the guitar to the side and quickly finished with her, breaking off all her bends and pulling off every limb.
When you were done, you took a second to breath. Only Toy Freddy and Toy Bonnie were left, and Toy Freddy would probably be easy, since he was already shut down.
Toy Bonnie checked in the prop present boxes in Party Room 4, but to no avail, he still couldn't find anything. He was about to check underneath the table, when the lights went out. Toy Bonnie's ears twitched as he looked around, his eyes slowly "adjusted" to the darkness. He peeked his head out of the Party Room, and looked down the hall. He scratched the back of his head as he walked down the Main Hall.
"Did the power go out, or something?" Toy Bonnie exclaimed.
He stepped into the dining area and looked around. He looked over and saw pieces of something scattered on the Show Stage. He zoomed in, to see his leader, Toy Freddy, tore apart. Toy Bonnie's ears fell over as he widened his eyes. Something struck him in the back of his head, causing him to topple over. He put his hand on his head and looked back.
"(Y/N)?" he gasped.
"Sorry," you mumbled; you must've not had as much energy, since the impact didn't disable him.
"What are you doing?!" he yelped as you took another swing at him, hitting him in the arm.
"I'm doing what I have to do!" you yelled at him as he stood up; you swung at him again and he put his arm up to stop it, causing bits of plastic from his fingers to break off.
"Why are you doing this!" he croaked, the hurt in his voice made you clench your teeth.
"I can't just leave those children like this! They need me!" you barked and swung the guitar at his head, he ducked and you hit his ears, causing one of them to fly off.
"But, boo-"
"Don't call me that! Don't make this harder than it has to be, Toy Bonnie!" you snapped, and Toy Bonnie paused as he looked at you sadly.
You took that time to hit him in the side, causing him to fall over. You raised the guitar above your head and slammed it into his shoulder; pieces from his shoulder, and the guitar, flew across the room. You grabbed his arm and jerked it from its socket, revealing frayed wires. Toy Bonnie rolled over and tried to push himself up, but you knocked him back down with a blow to the back.
Toy Bonnie stayed on the floor, faced away from you, seeming to have given up. You dropped the guitar and stepped over him, kneeling down to rest on his upper-back. Your heavy breathing filled your ears as Toy Bonnie stayed silent. You reached your arm around his chin, and started to pull his head back. He grabbed your arm as you pulled with all your strength. A loud snap filled the pizzeria as his endoskeleton neck broke in half, and then it was silent. You dropped his head and stood up as you looked to the side. You walked around and kneeled down to his legs, pulling them off.
When Toy Bonnie was in pieces, you ran a hand through your hair as you tried to steady your breathing. You grabbed the guitar and walked into the Main Hall, trying to avoid looking at Toy Bonnie's head as you passed it; you didn't want to be in the same room with your "dead" friends. You walked down the hall and around the corner. As reality started to come back to you, tears started to slide down your face. You stepped in the office and leaned against the doorway. You set the guitar against the wall as you kneeled down. You put your face in your hands and started to sob; your friends were gone, and you didn't know if they were going to come back.
When you started to gain your composure back, you stood up and aggressively wiped your eyes. You waited for a second, hoping that the animatronics came around the corner, and Toy Bonnie ran up and hugged you. You grabbed the guitar by the neck and placed your other hand under the body; you were going to keep it to remember the animatronics.
You felt a tug at your pant leg, and you looked down, to see a small figure standing beside you. You yelped and smacked it with the guitar; it flew across the office and hit the wall, sliding down onto the floor. You walked around the desk with the guitar held up by your head. The figure pushed itself up and as you got closer to it, it looked like a plushie; a Toy Bonnie plush. You raised the guitar above your head, ready to smash the thing.
"Wait!" it protested as it stuck its arms up in defense, and hearing its voice, you lowered the guitar and widened your eyes.
