Chapter 13 (A Fazbear Halloween)
"I don't want to scare the children, though," Mangle worried, and you looked up at her.
"I've already put on the posters that anyone under the age of 16, as well as people with physical disabilities, can't come," you explained; it was the night before Halloween, and you were just finishing going over the plan again.
"What else does it-it say on the poster?" Freddy asked from across the table; you were surprised he and the rest had agreed to come out of the Parts/Service room, let alone agree to be a part of the "act."
"Well, it says that we'll gather to get some 'spooks' from the 'old crew,' " you told him.
"That-at's it?" Bonnie wondered and you looked over at him.
"Well, that's the main idea of it," you replied, and he nodded; you stood up from the table and pushed your chair back in place.
"Where are you going?" Toy Bonnie wondered.
"I'm gonna go take a nap," you replied.
"Already?" he mumbled.
"Don't worry, Bonbon," you said, and Toy Bonnie glanced back at the old crew nervously; you raised an eyebrow, and then smirked. "There's no work tomorrow, so I'll be able to spend all day with you, babe."
Toy Bonnie blushed brightly as he looked back, and the animatronics shared giggles and snickers. His ears fell over in embarrassment, and he turned away from them, towards you. You giggled, and waved him goodbye as you turned towards the Show Stage.
After unlocking the front doors, you turned around, to see the animatronics already off stage, as well as the old crew coming from the Main Hall. They all looked at you questioningly, and you raised an eyebrow smugly. You grinned as you rubbed your hands together mischievously.
"Alright guys, get in your places!" you exclaimed as you clasped your hands together
". . . Where is that exactly?" Mangle wondered, and you sighed.
"Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica will go on stage, while Foxy is in Kids' Cove," you explained.
"Where do the rest of us go?" Toy Freddy asked.
"You guys go in the Parts/Service Room," you replied.
"Balloon Boy as-as well?" Foxy wondered.
"Hi," Balloon Boy said.
"Yes. I'll give you guys the cue when I want you to come out," you added.
"What's the cue?" Toy Chica questioned.
". . . I don't know yet," you mumbled, and Toy Bonnie snorted. "Just, get going."
It was almost 12 AM, that was when the show would begin. People were already sitting at the tables and talking to one another, mostly about the animatronics' appearances. You stood by the front doors, getting ready to lock them once it started. When the animatronics started to stir, you quickly locked the doors and leaned back against the wall; there weren't that many people, but that didn't disappoint you.
"Hello b-boys and girls," Freddy said as he waved to the audience, and a few people chuckled. "Welcome to-to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza! I'm Freddy, and these-ese are my p-pals, Chica the Chicken-"
"Hello ev-erybody," Chica chuckled.
"- and Bonnie the Bunny-"
"H-hiya everyone-one," Bonnie commented.
"Are you all en-enjoying yourselves?" Freddy asked, and a few people replied. "Good."
"Why not grab a slice of pizza?" Chica suggested.
"Or catch a song?" Bonnie added.
"Has an-yone visited Foxy the Pirate?" Freddy wondered.
"Freddy, I-I don't think they kn-know who that is," Chica mentioned.
"They-ey should, he's on-only the best pirate out-out there," Bonnie chipped in.
"Why don't you all pay h-him a visit in-in Pirate Cove?" Freddy suggested.
You walked towards Kids' Cove, and a few people got up to follow you. Soon enough, everyone stood up and walked with the rest. You walked through the doorway and into the corner, opposite of Foxy. Foxy quickly looked over at you, and when others started to come in, he stared ahead. Everyone piled into the room and crowded Foxy. They waited for him to say something, and you smiled.
"Yar!" Foxy boomed suddenly, startling a few people. "Who're th' scally-wags that reckon th-they can sn-sneak into me c-c-cove? Or w-were ye sent by-by Freddy?"
"We were sent by Freddy," a man chuckled, going along with the act.
"Aye, I su-suppose ye 'ave come-ome t' h-hear about th' va-ast tales o' when I-I ventured a-cross the deep-eep sea," Foxy crowed. "Ye ev-ever been on a-a ship? Every-where ye turn, th-thar are landlubbers gettin' sick-ick on th' d-deck. Those scally-scallywags don't reck-eckon t' careen o'er th' s-side o' th' ship. Would keep-keep me crew hot-ot on thar toes, nah worryin' a-bout swabbin' th-ar puke up.
"But, I-I suppose ye-e all didn' c-come t' hear me com-plain. Why nah get-get back t' Freddy 'n his-is crew, I be sure they-they've got a sh-show comin' on," Foxy suggested, and everyone walked back into the dining area.
When everyone was out, you followed behind them. People took their seats back and waited for Freddy and the other two to start their skit. You walked along the wall, hoping to not draw too much attention to yourself. You sat on the edge of the stage, leaning against the wall to watch the animatronics.
"Foxy's some-something, isn't he?" Freddy chuckled. "I-I think the band's ready. Bonnie, are-are you ready?"
"As read-ready as I'll ev-ever be, Freddy," Bonnie commented.
"Chica?" Freddy added.
"Yup!" Chica blurted.
"Then let-let's not waste any time," Freddy said.
The sound of a door creaking played on the speakers, as well as the noise of something bubbling, and chains being rattled. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion; this wasn't a part of the plan; but when you heard the sounds of drums, you immediately recognized the song. Bonnie began to strum the air before Freddy sang.
"I was w-working in the lab, late one night. When my-my eyes beheld an eerie sight. For my monster from his slab, be-gan to rise. And suddenly to my surprise-"
"He did the mash!" Bonnie and Chica began the chorus.
"He did the mon-ster mash-" Freddy said.
"The monster mash!" Bonnie and Chica added.
"It was a graveyard smash-"
"He did the mash!"
"It caught on in-in a flash-"
"He did the mash!"
"He did the monster mash-"
"Ah-oo," Bonnie and Chica sang in the background as Freddy started, "From my laboratory in the castle east. To the-the master bedroom where the vampires feast. The ghouls all came from their hu-mble abodes. To get a jolt from my electrodes-"
"They did the mash!" Bonnie and Chica sang.
"They did the monster mash-" then Freddy.
"The monster mash!" Bonnie and Chica went again.
"It was a grave-yard smash-" then Freddy again.
"They did the mash!"
"It caught on in a flash-"
"They did the mash!"
"They did-id the monster mash-"
"Ah-oo," Bonnie and Chica sang as Freddy said, "The zombies were having fun. The par-ty had just begun. The guests included Wolfman, Dracula, and his son. The sc-scene was rockin', all were digging the sound. Igor on chains, backed by his baying h-ounds. The coffin-bangers were about to arrive. With their vocal group, 'The Crypt-Kicker Five.' "
"They played the mash!"
"They played the monster mash-"
"The monster mash!"
"It was a graveyard smash-"
"They played the mash!"
"It caught on in a flash-"
"They played the mash!"
"They played the monster mash-"
"Ah-oo," Bonnie and Chica sang as Freddy went, "Out from his-is coffin, Drac's voice did ring. Seems he was troubled by j-just one thing. Opened the lid and shook his fist and said. 'Whatever happened to my Transylvania Twist?' "
"It's now the mash!"
"It's now the mon-ster mash-"
"The monster mash!"
"And it's a graveyard smash-"
"It's now the mash!"
"It's caught on i-in a flash-"
"It's now the mash!"
"It's now the monster mash-"
"Ah-oo," Bonnie and Chica sang, and Freddy started again, "Now everything's cool, Drac's a part of the band. And my m-monster mash is the hit of the land. For you, the living, this mash was meant too. When you get to my-my door, tell them Boris sent you."
"Then you can mash!"
"Then you can monster mash-"
"The monster mash!"
"And do my graveyard smash-"
"Then you can mash!"
"You'll catch on in a flash-"
"Then you can mash!"
"Then you can monster mash-"
"Ah-oo," Bonnie and Chica sang, and their voices started to fade, as well as the background music; the group of people began to clap, along with yourself; they were quite impressive, considering their state of disrepair.
"Have a good-ood night, everyone," Freddy exclaimed, and you smirked; that was the cue.
Everyone stood up, almost at once, seeming like a synchronized dance, a few grabbing their jackets and such, and heading for the front doors. The room was filled with noise, as people talked to each other, mostly about the song, and how there were no real frights. You looked towards the back, to see Foxy making his way out of Kids' Cove; nobody seemed to notice. As a few people walked up to the front doors, Foxy quickly stepped in front of them. They gasped and took a few steps back; their reactions caught the attention of some other people, and soon enough, the whole pizzeria was aware of Foxy blocking the exit.
"Leavin' so-so soon? Why, th' sh-show's only begun," Foxy chuckled deeply.
"Why don't you all sit-sit back down," Freddy insisted, and everyone turned to look at him.
"Let's grab a b-bite," Chica cheered mischievously.
Freddy, Chica and Bonnie started off the stage, and a few people yelped in fear. Foxy sneered as he opened his mouth wide and walked towards some people, his hook stretched out towards them. The three on stage jumped onto the floor, and walked towards the crowd.
"Don't be-be afraid. We don-don't b-bite," Bonnie snickered, and he let out a loud shriek; suddenly, everybody's feet started to move, as well as their mouths; the whole pizzeria was filled with screaming, and people scrambling to get away from the animatronics.
Chica walked past Foxy, and started towards the back of the crowd. Bonnie stayed towards the stage, making sure nobody decided to run through the hatch. Freddy and Chica started to maneuver the crowd towards the Main Hall. As people started to go through the doorway, others followed them. You watched everyone file through the Main Hall, and you gave a thumbs up to Foxy, who nodded. You hopped off the Show Stage, and walked past Bonnie. You heard an animatronic shriek, followed by a group of people screaming; someone had tried to go into the Parts/Service Room to hide; the bathrooms were locked, so there was no way to get in there.
Mangle, Toy Bonnie, Toy Freddy and Balloon Boy kept everyone from getting into the Party Rooms, so they were all probably cornered in the office. You walked down the Main Hall, and looked around the corner, down the hall. All the lights, except for the one in the office, suddenly went out, and you heard a few people yelp in surprise. You walked down the hall, nobody could see you, so you didn't worry about that.
You looked up, to see Mangle scaling the ceiling. She looked down at you and winked, and you smirked. She slowly curled her fingers around the top of the doorway, and started out of the darkness. Some people yelled, which followed more yelling, as Toy Chica and Toy Bonnie protruded out of the air vents. The crowd was forced to huddle together, as the three cornered them. A few people started to kneel down and cry.
Now it was your turn, you just hoped you didn't get too nervous, and start stuttering; you stepped out of the darkness and quickly hopped onto the desk; your shadow casted over the group of people. The animatronics stayed in their places, and everyone looked up at you. You raised your eyebrow smugly, and smirked, and a few people shrank in fear.
"Have you all heard of the rumors?" you asked menacingly. "The ones about the animatronics being possessed by children, that were murdered and stuffed in their suits; and the ones that say that they go around after-hours in search of giving someone else the same fate.
"Well, that's exactly what they are: rumors," you muttered.
"What do you want from us?" a man shouted.
"To give you all your money's worth," you said matter-of-factly. "Now, before this night ends, I just have one last question; did you all enjoy the show?"
With that, the lights were switched back on, and the animatronics relaxed. The group stared at you in confusion. Toy Bonnie stuck out his hand to help someone up, and they flinched back. He tilted his head, and they hesitantly grabbed it; he gently pulled them to their feet.
"Wh-what's going on?" a woman quavered.
"Don't worry, everything you saw here, was just a part of the act," you assured her, and everyone else, as you carefully jumped off the desk.
"This was an act?" a man growled.
"Would you rather it be real?" you wondered.
"You could've given one of us a heart attack," he barked.
"Hey, now, I clearly warned you on the poster that this wasn't for the faint of heart. Now, did you enjoy the show?" you mentioned.
"That's not the point," he muttered, and you smiled.
"Good. I want to assure everyone, that all of what you saw was planned. The animatronics, in no way, were actually trying to hurt you; only to scare the wits out of you," you explained. "If everyone would follow me, I'll take you to the front doors."
You and the animatronics started out of the office, and the group followed you. As you walked down the hall, Toy Freddy and Balloon Boy came out of the Party Rooms and followed behind the group. You walked down the Main Hall, and into the dining area. Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, and Toy Chica got on stage and stood in their places, and Balloon Boy went to the Game Area. Foxy stood by the doors, gesturing for people to exit. The pizzeria was almost silent as people started to walk out. Foxy waved a few people goodbye, and got a couple waves in return. When everyone was out, Foxy watched them through the glass doors. A few minutes later, Foxy gave the cue that everyone had left.
"That was amazing, guys!" you cheered.
"Do you think we may have scared them too badly?" Mangle worried.
"That was the point," Toy Bonnie sneered as he and the other two hopped off stage.
"I'm only glad no-nobody tried to start a fight with one of-of us," Freddy mentioned.
"With you guys singing up there," you gestured to Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica, "- before all the spooky things happened. That was awesome!"
"We do-o our best," Freddy replied, tipping his hat.
"Ugh, I can't believe how smoothly it went! Well, how it went as planned, that is," you added; Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica started towards the Main Hall, and you looked back at them. "Where are you going?"
"Back to-to the Parts/Service Room," Freddy said.
"So soon?" you muttered, but the three didn't hear, as they passed through the doorway and walked down the Main Hall.
"Don-don't feel too bad-bad, beauty. Th' ole-ole crew doesn't r-really feel might-mighty comfortable out here," Foxy assured you as he put his hook on your shoulder.
"That's fine," you mumbled, still watching after them as they closed the door to the Parts/Service Room.
"I'm so proud of you, boo!" Toy Bonnie cheered as he pulled you into a hug.
"What's there to be proud of?" you chuckled questioningly, and Toy Bonnie released you.
"You were great out there. You didn't get nervous one bit, nor did you fumble up the words," Toy Bonnie pointed out.
"Oh, I was kind of freaking out on the inside," you said sheepishly.
"You still went with it, though," Toy Bonnie commented. "And that's good enough for me."
". . . Thanks?" you muttered.
(Author's Note) Sorry this may be a bit shorter than my other chapters, but I just wanted to keep it focused on the one thing. To make up for it, I should have another chapter uploaded later today. Also, sorry for the lame and cringy song segment.
