This was a weird little realism challenge I did, I looked up random portraits on google images, drew them creepily, them stylized them because I can't figure out my style for the life of me

I was studying for the physics final over hangouts last weekend and we were doing force diagrams as practice, one of my friends jokingly drew a cat as one because we were tired and bored so I drew this in response

At a lull in the studying the same friend got in a Drawing Mood (have I mentioned she's really good at art, especially realism? Talk about a muse) and drew my eye, so I drew her, then we figured out we all three love polar bears so bam

There's this running joke in my art class that the kid next to me looks like a frog so one day we were done with the assignment and I wanted ideas, and the sophomore diagonal to me said "hey you should draw _ as a frog" so,, I,,, did,,,,

It's like the "look at this dude" meme

I don't think anyone found it all that funny but I was laughing hysterically

After I saw Star Wars I immediately thought "Shay as Rose ShayasRoseShayasRoseeee" so this happened

Her medallion is a balmeran crystal

I just can't do Shay justice but I love her so much

This is a bit of a thumbnail sketch to a digital piece I'm working on that turned out okay?? I drew it the first day of finals

That piece may take a while though, since I'm prioritizing a different digital project. I'll give details if it ever happens.

Now we've come to the surprise!

For Christmas, I was gratefully gifted with some new art supplies, including:

- brush!! pens!!
- a set of pencils ranging from around 6B to 5H
- several new erasers, my favorite being the kneadable one
- a big sketchbook that doesn't leak, which I'll be using for home sketches and more serious projects

I did the first thing I could think of a few days ago with heavy inspiration from other artists for the style, I think I'm making it the new cover of this book

It's not very original and it's super scribble because I don't know how to use real art supplies but here's the progress

I love it but I don't yet that's okay I guess, I may progress slowly but at least! I'm progressing!!
