I dunno if this is just a me problem, but I have a tendency to really get frustrated over OC designs, especially hair, like I'll change them a bunch yet still never be satisfied?? Most of that is due to the fact that I have a hard time making creative human designs despite having five in my main cast, but Rita's just,, exceptionally difficult

I think part of it relates to the fact that she was a self insert in the first draft?? Her name is actually a little joke about that, I originally picked Rita because of the Beatles song (Lovely Rita) and my sister's cat, but I looked it up and it's Pearl in Spanish!! I just had to go with it, too perfect

Anyway, this is the evolution of her hairstyle, from sympathetic sue self insert diamond bangs to snarky prick half up to 'why am I here' Lotor style down back to this

The latest is a half up bun, hopefully I'll like it now
