So after reading the latest wings of fire book, the hive queen, I got inspired to do a quick sketch and colour of an OC I made from arc two. So have my crappy twenty minute doodle.

Maroon is a seven taloned, albino SkyWing who was stolen from the royal hatchery by vengeful IceWing named Taiga, she is the dragonet of one of Ex Queen Scarlet's sisters, thus making her Scarlet's niece. She was stolen a day after being placed in the hatchery, that same day her mother was murdered by Scarlet, leaving nobody aware of her disappearance. She was raised on the edge of IceWing turf, and the lack of sun and heat is likely the reasoning for her pale colouring and near immunity to the cold. While Taiga raised her, he wasn't very nice to her and threatened daily to feed her to the polar bears. Why he never did was uncertain. One day Taiga never returned, and a hungry Maroon broke out of the home she was being kept in to find food, and escape while she was at it. She spent her time running from other skywings and running from sandwings, ending up in Jade Mountain territory. Two years after settling there the Jade Academy started up, which she watches from a distance careful to stay unnoticed.
