Ginkgo is a sturdy looking male leafwing with a very long tail that often drags in the dirt. His belly is the colour of dark oak bark and his scales are dark green flecked with small spots of lighter green, pale yellow, and light brown. Ginkgo's face is covered with dull orange speckles that most describe as looking like a series of small fireflies landed on his snout. He has bright, startling greenish blue eyes  and clean well kept white claws. His powers include weak leafspeak  and a knowledge of all the underground tunnels around Pantala. Part of the Sapwings, he is very loyal to the princesses and Queen Sequoia, his eagerness to get things done makes him a wise choice and he never fails at his duties. Much like the other Sapwings he's not all doom and gloom and Hivewing hating, and enjoys his peaceful life... at least until chaos ensues, to which he hastily takes off with the princesses to obey the order of protecting them above everything else. 

Anartia is a slim, graceful and gorgeous looking female silkwing, she has a stunning resemblance to the peacock butterfly, having similar eyespots on her wings and a similar dazzling red colour. Her eyes have been described as being the same colour of a perfect cloudless midday sky. She has sea foam green spines down her back and a maroon coloured belly, around her neck is a lavender coloured silk scarf with scales sewn into it, as well as two golden rings on her left horn. Her yellow speckles near the eyespots remind most dragons of the stars and Clearsight. The insides of her wings are a plum colour, and are not at all flashy like the rest of her. Her powers include spinning silk and looking pretty, she can easily charm a dragon into doing something for her. Born in the Hornet Hive, upon successfully completing her metamorphosis she was sent to the Jewel Hive, where she was hastily introduced to a very erratic and fashion obsessed Hivewing named Ladybird, who wanted Anartia to enter the Silkwing beauty contests, of course she had no choice but to accept. While their relationship might of started off very rocky, Anartia and Ladybird began to see eye to eye, and slowly even fell in love though it is illegal.

Spinifex is a scrawny and thin looking sandwing dragonet with 'more scars than scales' as described by Leather. He's missing claws on both his wings and his back feet, as well as half of his left horn. Spinifex's scales are a soft sand yellow, and he has dark black eyes and a black stinger. His wings are full of holes, as is the frill that  lines his back. Over his shoulders and back is a heavy and thick olive green cloak that poorly covers his scars, such is held up with a brown leather strap holds two gold rings and a small sash of coins and snake rings. His powers include being able to breath fire, being able to sting with his tail (though his aim and reach is very limited) and the use animus magic inherited from his ancestor Jerboa. The victim of a dragonflame cacti bombing during the SandWing Succession war, he survived just barely after his parents used their own bodies to protect him. After months of recovering he not only discovered his animus powers by accident, he was put up for adoption and adopted by two male Sandwings, alongside another dragonet named Sandstorm who became his brother. Now together they hunt for ancient treasure and attend the Jade Academy.
