Sharp and Thorn are Mytyo's self appointed apprentices, and first met the grumpy Tarcad through very unusual circumstances. It started with them planning to ask him to train them with the true intentions of robbing all of his belongings, although their plans were thwarted when Mytyo as his bird form Screwroot overheard, and when he was confronted he said the only thing he had to teach them was that plotting out loud in a public area was not a smart move and with that blasted them off his doorstep. Startled and bewildered they were determined to not be vested by the likes of a drunken old soldier, they decided to wait around and try ambushing him. When he failed to show after nearly a day and a half the decide to simply break in, and find several signs of someone who isn't in a good mental state. After getting an idea of what Mytyo has been through they leave and bring him a bottle of booze as an apology gift the next day along with the request of actually training under his tutorage for real. He declines and blasts them off his doorstep a few more times, but eventually gives up when they still refuse to leave him alone. In exchange for running errands for him, he gives them a place to stay and trains them to fight. Nowadays Mytyo claims that they are absolute idiots, but his idiots. He may seem grumpy but alas Mytyo always is, and Sharp and Thorn do their best to cheer him up and help him train Cabica when she is later homeschooled.
