Isabelle

[Jake's POV:]

It seemed I was the first to wake up. It was day once again. I looked around, seeing my friends fast asleep. Most of them were covered in blood. Marshall was in bad shape, and so was Cai. Britt really threw them around.  I got up, and walked to a mirror that was in the room. There were cuts on my cheek, and dry blood around my lip. The mirror was by the door. I turned to fully scan the room. Marshall, Jaimie, Gene, Morgan, Ruben, and Tyler were sleeping on the floor. There were two couches in this room, and a fire place. Mason and Cai were on opposite sides of one couch, and Cai was about to fall off the couch again. What did I care? He was a jerk anyways so I just left him hanging. Literally. Kate and Finny were on another couch. I sighed. Was today going to be another day where nothing happens? It seems that it was going to be like that. Here's one thing for sure, Britt's hiding something. And it isn't just Mary. Britt is playing a sneaky game, so it's best to be aware. I fixed my glasses in the mirror, and turned to hear someone waking up. It was Tyler. He rubbed his eyes and adjusted them to the light. "Oh, hey Jake." He noticed me standing there. "Hey, Tyler. What's up?" I gave a friendly smile to comfort him. Tyler started scanning the room also. He got up, and walked over to his brother, who was still hanging half off the bed. "Does this always happen?" I asked. Tyler just stared down at his sleepy brother. "Yep. It happens a lot, just not all the time." He sighed. I could sense the two weren't getting along so well lately.

[Mason's POV:]

I woke up to find myself on the couch, some light glaring in my eyes. "Crikey." I yawned. I looked over and saw Tyler and Jake standing there. "And that makes three awake." Jake said, walking over by the fireplace. There was a red circle rug by it, where he sat down. Tyler also decided to join him. Jake looked over at Cai and Marsh. "I would say these two were beat the most." He observed. Tyler nodded. "Yeah. But i'm not surprised Cai was beat up. It's something he deserves sometimes." I laughed. It was true, sometimes Cai could be a total twat. After a bit, everyone started to wake up. Mostly because we got tired of whispering and talked louder. Cai was still asleep though. What an idiot. "I'm guessing he's a heavy sleeper." Kate said, as everyone just found the amusement of watching your friend be hanging off the bed, snoring like a bear. "I say we draw on him." Jake suggested. Morgan turned to him. "That's childish." Jake rolled his eyes. "At least I had a childhood." He shot back slyly. Morgan scrunched up her nose. "Anyways... we could make a plan for the day." Marshall suggested, giving a friendly smile to all of us. "That's not a bad idea, but we don't really know what might happen. The last time when.. Bryce died we got a "break" from dealing with Britt. That may not happen, she could be tricking us here." Marshall thought for a second. "You've got a point. Britt likes to play her games sneaky. Overall, no matter what, we should always be prepared for anything. Always." Marshall's voice was calm and serious. An uneasy atmosphere once again set around in the room, even though the sun was shining through the windows. Marshall was absolutely right about this. He also means that by being prepared for everything also means being prepared for your future, and what might happen to you. We all nodded in agreement. After a couple moments passed, the uneasy atmosphere and intense feeling in the room went away. Tyler grabbed a pillow and chucked it at Cai. It hit him right in the face. "Ow." Cai said as he woke up. I don't think Tyler couldn't of thrown that any faster than he did. I tried my best not to laugh, but it didn't seem to work that well. Cai sat upwards, and put his fingers by his nose. His nose was bleeding. "Nice one, Ty!" Morgan burst out into laughter, and high fived Tyler. "Oh shut up Morgan." Cai walked up to one of the side tables, and grabbed a tissue. Tyler had a proud grin on his face. The two brothers had an intense stare for a moment. I got up to help Cai, since he was treating it wrong. I pushed his head back and gave him another tissue. "There. That should help stop the bleeding." I sat back down. "Thanks, Mason." Kate chuckled at Cai, because he didn't know how to properly treat a nosebleed. "Cai, we wonder about you sometimes.." Kate said, sighing. Cai laughed. "Oh that's funny, I thought you guys could care less." He said teasingly. Jake rolled his eyes with a smirk. About a half an hour later, after Kate and Cai were done being sarcastic with each other, we decided to head out. We went onto different floors, until we ended up on a floor we haven't been on yet. How big was this grim and somber place?  We kept walking. There was silence.

[Marshall's POV:]

We all were pretty quiet while making our way around. "This must be a new floor." Morgan said looking around. I nodded in silence. "Yeah. This probably means one step closer to finding Mary." Tyler looked up. "I hope it is." He sighed. I was leading the group, as usual. It kinda felt weird "leading" most of the time. But I want to keep my friends safe, and I guess my biggest fear and worst case scenario is me failing at that. I won't let that happen. At least not again..

We walked around for quite some time. I looked around anxious down every hallway hoping one would contain Mary, so we could win and I could take her home again. I felt myself having the urge to tear up a bit, but I managed. But something didn't feel right about this hallway. It was.... different. The ambiance, and the floor in general gave off a weird vibe. I became more aware of surroundings, and I checked back on my friends. "All good?" I checked. They nodded, and I somewhat tried to relax a little. But I couldn't, I have to stay aware. At least it was one thing off my chest for now. I suddenly heard the shuffling and dragging of feet. I stopped, causing everyone else to stop. I looked forward, seeing a devilish grin. I tensed up realizing it wasn't Britt. I heard Tyler let out a small, scared gasp. I grit my teeth. "Well, well!" The obvious girl voice came into a better view. She had a long, black coat, her hair was darker than the night, and wore red heels. She had this aura that didn't reflect well across the room. Morgan stepped forward, almost in front of me. She looked this creature dead in the eye. "Are you the one that is in charge?" I put my hand on her shoulder, giving her a signal to calm down. She'll get hurt if she keeps being confrontational like this. But on the other hand, we don't really have a choice. The voice giggled. "In the flesh. You are to call me Isabelle." 'This is only going to get worse' I thought to myself.

[Jaimie's POV:]

This must be the one Britt told me about. Damn, she seems dangerous. There was a room right next to me with no door, I peaked inside. It probably used to be a room to hold utensils of such, because there was a lot of empty, dusty shelves. A small box on a coffee table in the corner caught my eye. I flipped up the small gold latch and opened it. There were kitchen utensils like forks, and spoons, and on the bottom where different sized kitchen knives. There were five different sizes. They all varied on blade sizes. I took the knives, and went back to where I was standing. Isabelle and Marsh were still giving each other intense eye contact. In the back row of the group was Tyler, Mason, Cai, Kate, and me. I secretly handed one to each silently. Kate got the big bladed one, Cai got the second biggest,  Tyler got the medium sized, and I got the dagger. This will have to do. I went back to paying attention on what was going on between Marshy and Isabelle. Isabelle and I made eye contact, she smirked and looked back toward Marshy. "You must be the peasants sister." Isabelle said slyly. Marshy got agitated. "What'd you just call her? I'll have your head for that comment!" He said, almost yelling. Kate slowly walked up standing next to Marshy. "I got this." She said, almost with no tone. She was dead serious. Marshy was going to say something but didn't. "Since you're the one that planned all of this, did you tell Britt to kill Kiera?" Silence swept over the room. Nobody said a word. Isabelle smiled. "Oh no, you see.. Kiera just couldn't keep up with the fight. Too weak I suppose." That, is what made Kate snap.

[Kate's POV:]

I was furious. How dare she say that about Kiera! I glanced down at the bladed knife that was probably bigger than my hand. "Kate..don't do thi-" Mason said, seriously. "Go back into one of those rooms. I got this." Tyler shook his head. "No way we're not letting that happen."  I turned around halfway, showing one side of my face. "I'm serious. Go now." I wanted to cry but held it in forcefully. "No, Kate. We're staying." Finny added. I sighed. "Fine. But I got this." I turned around fully again, looking at Isabelle. I chuckled slightly. "Bring it, you killer." Isabelle smirked. And at that moment,

I had so much regret.

After probably a minute I was on the floor, pinned. I could feel blood run down my face. I felt no pain, just me loosing blood. I gasped for air as she picked me up by the neck, and threw me across the room. I hit the wall, groaning in agony. No. I can't give up. Kiera's death will not be in vein. I'll get revenge. Adrenaline ran throughout my body, blocking most of the pain. Isabelle was distracted, looking at everyone else, with a deadly stare. I charged up to her and grabbed her neck, making sure not to let go. One of her hands swung at me, as I caught it, I let her go for a split second and kicked her knocking a door down. I wiped the blood from my face, as it was my own. I looked up to where Isabelle had crashed down and she was gone. "KATE!" I heard from behind me. It was Jaimie's voice. Isabelle reappeared, and Jaimie shielded me and stabbed Isabelle in the neck with a dagger. Marshy looked scared. Nobody else couldn't really do anything. Isabelle reached to grab her, and missed.

[Jaimie's POV:]

I put most of my strength into blocking off Isabelle. "Jaimie!" Marshy yelled. I looked at him dead in the eye. "Trust me, Marshy. Please." I gave a small smile, as he nodded in shock. I then took off, running down the hall, Isabelle following. I looked forward. Shit, a dead end was ahead. Only a window. Isabelle disappeared from behind and re-appeared in front of the huge window. Perfect. I tackled her through the window, shattering it. Everyone else ran after us. "JAIMIE!" I heard Marshy call out, and I fell through the window with Isabelle, and down we went.

Marshy, I promise i'll be fine. I started to tear. We landed, Isabelle on the bottom, getting crushed. I was pretty light but the impact effected her deeply. "Augh!" She growled, and pushed me off to get up. "You win this time, Jaimie." She didn't give me any eye contact. "You're strong, I'll admit to that. But I will defeat you." I felt her aura go through my body as she disappeared. The aura did too. I lay here, almost all strength worn out of me. I had cuts and scrapes from the fall. I laid flat down on the cold floor, not moving a muscle. I saw Marshy look down, and spot me. "I told you everything would be okay." I whispered, as my eyes closed from exhaustion.

[Tyler's POV:]

She just did that. Jaimie actually just risked everything to save Kate and everyone else, by distracting Isabelle. To be honest, Isabelle scares me. I am really proud of Jaimie for doing that. Marshy looked down through the broken window, and saw Jaimie. "Shit," Without any hesitation, he ran off, sliding down the arm of a spiral staircase down to her. We followed, the only change was that we walked down the stairs. Marshy ran through the open doorway, into a huge room where Jaimie and Isabelle landed. Jaimie was on the floor, unconscious. He picked Jaimie up and held her in his arms. To be honest, these two were cuties. They have been friends for the longest time also. They were just perfect, and I smiled at the thought. "I can't believe she did that.." Kate said, extremely grateful. Cai looked at Marshy. "Is she alive?" He asked. Marshy nodded. "Yeah. She is." He smiled, sounding if he was going to cry. "I can't believe she did something like that.." He added. Finny looked up at the rest of the group. She was standing right next to me. "She did it to save us. We probably would of gotten our butts kicked if she didn't do something." Finny had a point. She risked it all to distract Isabelle from killing Kate. Amazing. I looked over at Kate. She was so shocked and grateful for when she tried to say something nothing came out. "The girls got guts." Morgan added. Almost everyone nodded. "She's very smart like that." Mason said. The British boy smiled and fixed his glasses. Marshy suddenly looked up. "We've got to head somewhere else but here." Marshy inspected Jaimie's face, where most cuts and scrapes were. I looked around, to notice yet another hallway on the other side of the room. "How about we head down there." I pointed. Marshy squinted, trying to see the hallway. "Good idea, Tyler. Nice one." He smiled at me. I smiled back. "No problem." We then headed in that direction, down the hall.

[Britt's POV:]

I'm guessing Zairna got here first. I stood in front of a huge broken window. "Britt." Someone called from behind. I turned. My heart probably just stopped for a moment. "Hello, Zairna." I greeted. She looked at me, but I had to look up at her. "What did I say about that name? Call me Isabelle. Understand?" I nodded. "Yes, miss." Even though I thought she said to call her Zairna last time. She changes her mind sometimes, and let me tell you does it get annoying. "What happened?" I asked, looking at the window. Isabelle stood next to me. "Jaimie." She sighed. This perked my interest. "What about her?" I said slyly, wanting all of the information I could get. "I encountered the group, and I was stupid enough to let little Jaimie distract me away from all of them. Next thing that happened is that we fought. She tried ever so desperately to save her friends. She has determination, that's for sure. And she's stronger mind wise than I thought. She lead me to this window where we both fell down. I was on the bottom, and my spine was effected critically." This was interesting to hear. Jaimie did all of this? "You still have your job to do, Britt." I nodded, understanding. "I'll check in later. I'm watching." She said, disappearing. Holy hell was she terrifying. She put so much pressure on me. But what she told me, if Jaimie actually did that..

I guess next time i'm going to have to step up my game with her.
