Chapter 1

Days of Sorrow

------------🔺🌲------------

A man with blonde hair sobbed in front of a corpse that belonged to the one he calls, his lover. Earlier, before his lover died, the one who killed him, Tad Strange, flaked away as he was told to pay the price.

The blonde man cried and blamed himself for what happened. But, of course, if you're in this kind of situation, you would blame yourself as well, right? But, the man and you are wrong. Sometimes, it's not your fault when this happens.

But of course, the man who was kneeling in the barely green colored grass still blame for himself.

A few hours after crying, the blonde named Bill Cipher, attempted to look at the corpse of the love of his life; Dipper Pines.

He couldn't even look him in the face. His limp body, not moving with the brunet's eyes closed, it looks like he's sleeping. Sleeping forever.

Even he's a corpse, he looks like an angel to the dream demon.

An angel and a demon.

An impossible pair, but to Bill, it's a perfect one. He sniffed, rubbing his red puffy eyes, wiping his tears stained cheeks. He shakily held his hand up and snapped his fingers.

It started raining earlier, so he thought about burying his lover while putting him in a coffin. After he did that, he placed two flowers on top of Dipper's grave. A blue and yellow one. Bill stood and stared down at it.

"I'm sorry for failing you, goodbye Pinetree," He mumbled to himself, he turned to walk away before stealing another glance at the grave and continued on his way.

He didn't even cared if it's raining. He didn't even know where he is going, but to his senses, the direction is back at the shack.

He wanted to lock his consciousness and thoughts out. He wanted it to stop it, for his mind to stop.

But, of course, he's a dream demon.

The master of the mind.

The blonde hung his head low, his slightly yellow hair stuck at his forehead as the rain shower over him. His bangs drooped the rain drops from his head, joining with the tears of his. His casual clothes are wet, his footsteps were mushy and stepping at mud as he walk, that didn't made anything well, it was like stepping on wet blankets.

Finally, Bill came back to shack, a bit of mud and blood from his lover covered his clothes as someone yelled from the shack's porch.

"Bill!"

The remaining Pines ran towards the soaked blonde. Ford immediately placed his hands on Bill's shoulders, shaking him slightly. "Where's Dipper?! What happened?!"

"Tad happened," Mabel choked out, noticing Bill's expression and his slightly blood covered clothes. She started to tremble, along with the others.

The Stan twins noticed the expression Bill is making as well. They heard a sob, then a whimper from the blonde as he whispered quietly.

"I'm s-sorry."

The words struck them, as the blonde gave up and placed his head on Ford's shoulder, crying uncontrollably again. The old man was shocked at first but Mabel came and hugged the both of them, joining Bill's despair. Then soon came Stan who had small tears on the sides of his cheeks, hugging the others. Ford, as well, felt tears, and great sadness of loosing his great nephew.

The four hugged, still crying and never cared if all of them are soaked, they just mourned for the loss of Dipper Pines...

-2 days later: Mystery Shack; Dipper's bedroom-

After a couple of days of sorrow, Bill was still crying, slowly becoming depressed. He is currently sitting on Dipper's bed, he sniffed and smelt his Pinetree's scent that lolled him to sleep, tears stopping but wetting the pillow.

Mabel has red puffy eyes, and stopped crying. She was now looking at Bill sadly. She closed the door and sighed, walking towards the kitchen meeting up with Ford and Stan who are talking about how to get Dipper back.

"We can't get Dipper back because he's dead!" Mabel shouted in anger, she can't take it anymore. She ran upstairs to her room to cry more. The Stan Twins were shock by her action and sighed, agreeing silently.

Little did they know, Bill heard Mabel's shout.

What he's going to do now if Dipper is dead? That's a thought swarming in his head. He's a demon, he could do ANYTHING! But of course, he let his life line to his love. It's not like he can't help it. Cutting. That won't solve the problem either, it's just drinking alcohol, even if it made your problems go away, it will keep coming back until you face them yourself.

But, at least, I will feel physical pain, he thought insanely. Yes, he is insane in so many ways, physical pain is always hilarious to him, but mental pain? No, it hurts more than knives.

He didn't even know that he's now walking unconsciously to bathroom with a blade in hand. When he got there, he dazed off. All he knows that his arm is bleeding, and physical pain is visible to his senses, but it seems that none of it bothers him. When he got to 15 cuts, he cleaned himself off and the blade then wrapped bondages on the narrow cuts.

Good thing his conscious self didn't made the cuts deeper. He slowly walked out of the room and to Dipper's. He lied down on the bed and placed his arm under the pillow feeling some small rectangular box. He pulled it out and saw some sort of device. He then remembered that it's  Pinetree's cellphone. He opened the phone easily due to Dipper teaching him how to use one and clicked at an app with a name underneath with white letters—Music.

Might as well listen some music, he thought, agreeing with himself. He also found earphones from the nightstand which is colored blue along with the phone's case.

Bill scrolled down the playlist which was named Innocent that made him confused and went back to the one that says All songs with a number 20 next to it. He continued to scroll down as he found a familiar song Dipper was singing when he was still alive. The blonde wiped a tear which rolled down his eye when he remembered Dipper. He sighed and clicked on the song he chose.

Since you've been gone nothing makes any sense
Cause being with you was the thing I did best!
Now that it's over what else have I left?

Laying back to bed, Bill abruptly closes his eyes, letting the song take over him. Even so, the words struck him like a sword in his chest, targeting his already broken heart.

He sighed and opened his eyes once more, averting his gaze at every part of the brunet's room, and finally at the bay window.

Cause I need you so~!
Much I can't lose you I need you to know
You might have gone but I'll never let go!
Cause one day I know that you'll come back home
Cause I won't let go~!

Cause I need you so~! Those words really offended him, knowing that he needs someone to comfort him. And that someone is Dipper, the one who already died in front Bill's pain-filled eyes.

The blonde sat up, looking down at the worn-out wooden floorboards of the room, then at the bay window again, noticing that day time departed and was replaced by night.

His face held a blank state, but in the inside, various emotions are visible. Pain. Anger. Confusion, and of course. Sadness. The blonde man shook his head, trying to stop his thoughts from what happened 2 days ago. He gripped the bed sheets, his face now not held the blank expression. Eyebrows furrowing, eyes filling with hatred. Hatred to himself.

I'm such an idiot! Why didn't I noticed it?! I was supposed to be the All-Seeing Eye! He hated the fact that he didn't saw what's going on before Tad killed Dipper. He was supposed to see things! Things on what will happened on the future! But here we are, Bill grieving and hating himself for it. Now, I'm weak and crying. Almost like my brother. Now what..?

Now here we are, Bill being heart broken.

There's a hole in my heart, can you fix it?
There's a hole in my heart, since you've been gone…

Is this L-O-V-E?
Somebody tell me what's happening to me?
Is this L-I-F-E?
Somebody tell me, just what's happening to me!
Since you've been gone~!

Even without knowing, the blonde's tears flow from his eyes. He wiped them immediately but it never stopped flowing..

Let's sum up the events during the past few days. Bill and Dipper being separated. Then reunited after hitting Ford with a bat so Tad will lost his connection. Some of Dipper's unknown nightmares. Tad chasing the both of them to the forest, now Dipper is dead.

He thought that, it's some kind of story. Stories that have happy or bad endings. But, it's just the beginning..

I want you so much that it hurts me to think
That we'll be like strangers the next time we meet!
Cause I used to have everything that you need
And I need you so!

There's a hole in my heart, can you fix it?
There's a hole in my heart, since you've been gone…

Trying to stop his thoughts, he unconsciously sat on the bay window he had been staring at a few moments ago, and now looking at the stars that shone brightly at the night, as he felt the song drown in his thoughts.

He remembered when he saw Shooting Star watching RomComs or whatever that was. She invited him to watch it with her while Dipper do his nerdy things a few days back. He even saw the cheapest and the cheesy ones. He even thought that the cheesy one is the situation he is in now. But of course, it's just the talk that he wanted to take his sad mind off.

But still, he have to do something.

Is this L-O-V-E?
Somebody tell me what's happening to me?
Is this L-I-F-E?
Somebody tell me, just what's happening to me!
Since you've been gone!

There's a hole in my heart!

He now didn't even paid attention to the song. But now it's irrelevant. Some of thoughts from earlier are now irrelevant.

There's a hole in my heart!

He knows there's a way, he always does. He has to find another way.

There's a hole in my heart!

By now, his tears stopped, lips curled into a small smile.

He is not giving up.

There's a hole in my heart!

With all the answers
Maybe we could save this!

This hole in my heart!

Negative and sad thoughts washed away by the positive ones. The air surrounded him was now a calm one, not thick and heavy.

This hole in my heart!

This hole in my heart!

Once again, from above the stars, the one that he and his Pinetree sees whenever they're alone at night while looking up at the dark and serene night sky.

The things that made them together and love each other more.

Is this L-O-V-E?
Somebody tell me what's happening to me?

Bill's smile widen when he saw it glowed together, remembering he and Dipper lied on the cool grass of the forest, having the peaceful time for themselves.

Is this L-I-F-E?
Somebody tell me, just what's happening to me!

The blonde lied on the cushions of the seat on the bay window, feeling calm, still looking at Ursa Major and Triangulum. The constellations.

There's a hole in my heart, can you fix it?

He felt his eyes closed as the song which was blasting from the ear buds ends.

There's a hole in my heart, since you've been gone…

There's a way, and the only way to stop his mourning of his Pinetree....

Is getting him back, again...
