backstory | growing up in scotland , aila always had lived on the poor side of her tiny town , would have never thought that she would get such a big shot as she did . at age 14 a small yet slowly growing band called 'the wings of destiny' stopped in her town for a concert, and aila quickly fell in love with the lead singer , gavyn cormandez , who later changed his name to eclipse dawn as the wings of destiny's popularity grew . unfortunately, eclipse , who was 17 at the time , also noticed aila not only for her good looks but for her voice and guitar . after a lot of begging from her parents to let her join the band , aila ran away from home to be with eclipse , and they immediately started dating . for 3 months , they were doing fine , touring scotland together with the rest of the band , being in such a teenage love . that was , until eclipse started to get jealous and manipulative , forcing aila to have no friends and no contact with anyone but himself and the rest of the band , and even then , hanging out with the band only when completely necessary . things only went downhill from there . eclipse grew crazy for power and fame and money , and would do anything to get it . but beyond that , he scared aila , and she felt that she had to do anything he said , and if she didn't both herself and he would get hurt . they entire time , she thought she was doing the right thing , until she turned 15 , that is . that's when her powers came out , powers she could only ever dream of . and eclipse ? he took advantage of them , using them to get more fame , and using aila along with them . at this point , it was illegal for the two to be together , but aila was too terrified to leave . this went on for years , until she turned 17 and finally had enough . she ran away , always from scotland and the wings of fire , away from eclipse and the abuse . her powers were uncontrollable and dangerous , she didn't know how to fend for herself , and she was wholly alone in the big bad world . she was but a scarred and broken girl with no where to go , no one to turn to , and no one to love .
