It didn't take Sol long to find the female wolf. In fact, he had found her in the first place that he had checked; the clearing where he had saved her.

Now, she wasn't exactly at the clearing, but when he had gone to leave to check another spot, he had stumbled on a river behind some bushes that he had never seen before.

At first, he had thought that his eyes were playing tricks on him when he had found the wolf to be lying on her stomach by the bank side, staring at the fish in the water. Surprisingly, she hadn't made one move to try and catch any, but perhaps she just wasn't fond of fish.

Either that, or she was still upset about him shouting at her.

The thought made him guilty.

Purposely stepping on a branch so that she would hear him approach her, he watched as her head lifted up from her paws and swung to the right to look at the intruder. She had pushed off the ground and was ready in a defensive position, almost as if she was anticipating an attack, but when she saw that it was just him, she relaxed.

Not sparing him another glance, she laid back down on her stomach again.

His wolf growled at the clear show of disrespect, but he knew that she was just upset. Not that he blamed her.

Perhaps he had been too harsh.

Sighing internally, he laid down next to her.

She didn't turn to look at him and neither of them spoke nor shifted back into their human form -not that he had seen her human form before. They just sat in silence and watched the fish in the river.

Sol wasn't sure how much time had passed while they were at the river, but he did know that they weren't getting anywhere with the silence that was currently sitting between them both.

Pushing up on his front legs, Sol covered the small distance between them both before he bent down and nudged her side with his nose. He expected her to swat him away with her paw, or even ignore him, but he didn't realise that she would crinkle her nose before turning the other way.

It seemed that she had fallen asleep and he hadn't realised it.

She was adorable when she was asleep, with her head rested on her paws and her nose twitched every couple of moments. It also helped that she wasn't currently wrecking his kitchen in the search for food, but that was something that he should probably let go of.

Even Sol knew that he had overreacted.

Plus, he felt guilty for being too harsh on her. Especially since she hadn't shifted back to her human form once since he had found her lying in the woods, half-way to death a few days ago. He was sure that he wasn't the only one worrying about it.

Sighing, he pushed himself off from the ground again. But this time, he leaned down and picked her up with his mouth. His mouth was clamped around her neck, tight enough that she wouldn't slip and fall while he walked home, but loose enough that she wouldn't feel any pain, nor would it leave a mark.

The trek back to the house took about an hour because the added weight of having to carry another wolf was slowing him down. There was also the fact that he didn't want to wake her up. For once, she looked peaceful, and he didn't want to disturb her.

His eyes immediately landed on the dirty blanket on the ground of the open living room when he walked back inside his cabin, the female wolf still asleep. He considered carrying her upstairs, but he was sure that she would wake up once she felt her head banging against every step as he carried her.

Opting to wake her up instead of carrying her, he dropped her down on the blanket softly before he stood up, shifted back into human form and walked up the stairs. Luckily, she was still asleep or his naked self, running up the stairs would have been quite the sight to wake up to.

The rest of the day was pretty quiet. He knew that the female wolf was still upset with him, but there was nothing that he could do to drastically change her opinion of him.

Dinner was quiet, not that he expected her to turn back into her human form and start a conversation with him. When he had asked if she wanted more chicken, she didn't answer. Not even a growl or yelp to indicate either yes or no as she usually did.

Even after they had finished and planted themselves in front of the TV to watch an episode of a show that neither of them was keeping up with, he was still facing the silent treatment.

Wanting to make some sort of amends, he stood up from the sofa he was sat on. Kneeling down to the ground in front of her, he grabbed the remote and turned off the TV which they had been watching since after dinner.

He patted her on the head gently to gain her attention since it seemed like she was about to fall asleep again. "Do you want to sleep in my room tonight?" He asked, his voice low and soft, not wanting to wake her up completely.

Sol didn't have to wait for answer because she had gotten up and trotted upstairs. It seemed that he had been given her answer.

Smirking, he headed upstairs for bed.
