03.

Sol didn't have to wake her up, the smell of food seemed to do the job for him. Not that he minded.

Though he did mind when she stood up, took one look at him cooking in the kitchen with his kitten apron and then ran out the front door. He wasn't sure how she even managed to open the door with how quick she was out the house, but he was just impressed that she did it.

But that was for another time.

If she had run because of his apron, he was going to get offended.

Seeing as the female wolf was still injured, she wasn't running at full speed. The thought was scary seeing as he was finding it hard to keep up with her even when she was injured, and he was an Alpha.

Though it seemed that the wolf was working on adrenaline and not energy because even before she made it into the woods, she was panting and slowing down. Sol took that as an opportunity to push harder and come to a rough stop in front of her. He growled and snapped his teeth at her, but when it looked like she was going to run again, he reached out and took a hold of her around the neck.

The hold was so tight that if she moved, she was sure to snap her neck. Now, Sol had no intention in harming her but she didn't need to know that. If fear was what kept her safe while she healed, then fear it would have to be.

And she was definitely not going to be safe in the forest. Especially not if what or who had injured her, was still out there.

"Stop moving!" He growled when she attempted to turn her head and snap at him. The wolf whined when he only tightened his hold around her, showing no sign of letting go any time soon. When she didn't stop struggling, he pushed his nose right up against hers and looked her directly in the eyes. "If you don't stop, I'm going to rip your head off." He threatened, the threat empty yet his voice harsh enough to fool her into thinking that he meant every word.

That was enough to get her to stop.

The wolf remained silent all the way home. Sol made sure to keep his hand fisted in her fur once he shifted back into his human form in case she decided to run off again. He made sure that he was gentle as she didn't need any more injuries than she already had.

That little get away had done a number on her paws, especially since she had managed to run through a small pile of wood that he had been collecting for the fire. Not only had she managed to knock it over, but she had collected an array of cuts on her paws and legs.

The first thing he did when they got back to the cabin was lock the front door, though he doubted that would be enough if she was really determined on leaving. But for now, while she was still in wolf form, he would be looking after her.

Mostly because his wolf thought of this as a way of building his own pack, not that his human agreed. But Sol didn't have time to argue about the small details with his wolf at the current moment.

After turning on all the lights downstairs, he went into the downstairs bathroom and fetched the first aid box once again. It seemed like this sort of thing was going to become a reoccurrence while this she wolf was around.

He would have to stock up on supplies next time he went into town.

It didn't take long for Sol to clean all the cuts and scrapes over her paws and legs, though she had fidgeted and whined throughout the whole ordeal. If she wasn't so big, he would have thought her to be a young child.

After putting away the first aid box, he returned to the living room. Placing his hands on his hips as he assessed the situation in front of him -a larger than average female wolf splayed out on one of his best blankets, covered in mud, blood and grime.

Sighing, he kneeled down in front of her, running a hand through her fur gently.

She looked like she was about to fall asleep, but she needed a bath. Urgently. Not just because of the dirt, but because she was starting to smell. It was probably all the time that she had spent in the woods before he had come across her.

Tugging at one of her ears, he chuckled as she swatted his hand away with one of her front paws. When he did it again, she growled at him and opened one of her eyes, revealing stormy grey pupils. They were the lightest grey that he had ever seen.

He tugged at her ear one last time before standing up. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up." He told her.

Thankfully, she stood up by herself. Though getting up the stairs was another story.

By the time that they had made it to the upstairs bathroom where there was a large shower, he was the one who needed the shower. Though it would probably make more sense if he helped her out first and then had a shower of his own.

It would be simple, or that's what he thought.

Half an hour later, the water had somehow managed to escape past the shower door and splatter all over the bathroom tiles. When he had initially turned on the shower and the water had gushed down at the female wolf, she had gotten scared and once again, tried to escape. But this time, luckily, she didn't make it past him, but she did manage to get mud on the bathroom tiles.

Sighing, he kneeled down on the ground and wiped her down with a towel.

He frowned when she shook her fur, splattering him with water. "Don't do that." He chastised her gently, feeling tired after everything that had happened that day. Once she was dry, he wrapped her wounds up again. They were healing, but slowly. The scrapes on her paws and legs were gone by now, but the wound on her side was still there. It was looking a little better, but it wasn't just quite there yet.

After handing her a new blanket which she gladly accepted with her mouth, Sol watched her jump down the stairs by herself before he headed into the bathroom for his very own shower. But before that, he had to clean the mess that she had made.

It was funny how she more than happily ran down the stairs without any difficulty, whereas when it was the case of her coming up them, it seemed that she had struggled greatly.

This wolf was starting to give him a headache.

Sighing, he shook his head and got right to work.

It was late and he wasn't hungry, but he went downstairs anyway. He may not be hungry, but he was sure that his female companion downstairs would be hungry seeing as she hadn't eaten much all day, and he had no idea when her last meal had been.

Sol made it to the bottom of the stairs before he found her asleep on the ground, this time sleeping on a different blanket as the other one was in the wash.

It seemed that she would just have to wait until morning for food.
