Chapter Twenty-Eight

Jenny had let Sam and Dean go off to an old auto-repair shop, leaving her at the motel to do some research on the Winchester house since the fire. However, the moment they had left, Jenny grabbed the first car she could hijack and sped off onto the highway.

Now, it probably wasn't the smartest option to leave without at least writing a note, but she knew they'd call. Or attempt to. Maybe it actually wasn't the best option considering where the case was.

That was about an hour and a half ago. Still no call, so maybe they hadn't gone back to the motel ye—

Jenny's phone rang. She turned down the music and picked it up, Dean's name on the screen. Flipping her phone open, she pressed the green phone symbol. "Hey... Uh so funny story—"

"Jen, where the hell are you?" Dean asked in a harsh tone, which also had a hint of panic.

Jenny looked at the green sign that had just passed her. "Uh... Glasco."

"Glasco?! How fast are you driving?" Jenny's eyes widened as she slowly looked down at the speedometer.

"Uh... 98." She answered in a soft chuckle, sighing. "Look, you guys are dealing with a personal sort of case. You and Sam can handle it. I'll be back before midnight. I just— I wanted to see Bobby, okay?"

Silence on the other end of the call. "She alright?" Sam's voice echoed, Dean didn't reply.

"We could really use your help, Jen." Dean replied quietly as she sighed, pressing her lips together firmly.

"Are you sure you don't just need me there for moral support?" She asked, Dean fell silent again. A door slammed shut on Dean's end, a soft sigh following.

"Look, Jen. I know you want to see Bobby. And we can visit him after this case, I promise. But... I uh—" He trailed off and Jenny's brows furrowed together, waiting for him to continue. "I just really need you here."

Jenny exhaled deeply, biting in the bottom of her lip as she noticed an exit coming up. "Okay... I'll um... I'll be there in a bit."

"Thank you, Jenny."

"Yeah, yeah." She sighed quietly, Dean hanging up. Jenny tossed her phone to the side as she got off the highway, only to get back on it, driving the other direction back to Lawrence.

Jenny, Sam and Dean walked up to a small house, an old woman, Missouri, smiling to a man as he walked away before it dropped, sighing solemnly. "Poor bastard. His woman is cold-bangnin' the gardener." Jenny's eyes widened as she watched the man leave, turning back to the psychic.

"Why didn't you tell him?" Dean asked as Missouri laughed, shaking her head.

"People don't come here for the truth. They come for good news." The three stared at her. "Well, Sam, Jenny and Dean. Y'all just gonna stand there?" Jenny's eyes only widened more. They followed Missouri inside. "Well, lemme get a look at ya."

The lady turned around and smiled at the three. "My, you two boys have become handsome. And Jenny, dear, aren't you just gorgeous?" Jenny gave her a flattered smile, looking down at her feet. Missouri turned to Dean, smirking. "Don't you know it, too."

"Excuse me?" Dean frowned as the woman chuckled.

"Don't act so dumb. I know what both of you think of each other." Jenny and Dean's eyes just widened again, Sam smirking. Missouri turned to Sam, taking his hand. "Sam.." She trailed off, frowning somberly. "Oh, honey...I'm sorry about your girlfriend. And your father— he's missin'?"

The three have her a shocked look, nodding. "How did you know that?" Sam asked.

"Well, you were just thinking it now." Sam held his shocked look as Missouri suddenly took Jenny's hands, reading her thoughts like an open book. And while Jenny tried hard not to think it, Missouri knew anyway. "Now that, Jennifer. That's how you get into an argument."

Her eyes stayed wide with surprise as Missouri looked to Dean, grimacing. "God, what's it with boys and their dirty minds—" Missouri turned around.

"Uh—" Dean chuckled awkwardly as Jenny frowned at him. He cleared his throat. "Our father... Do you know where he is? If he's okay?"

"Boy, you see me sawin' some bony tramp in half? You think I'm a magician? I may be able to read thoughts and sense energies in a room, but I can't just pull facts out of thin air. Sit, please." The trio sat on the small couch together, Missouri going to sit down before snapping her fingers at Dean. "Boy, you put your foot on my coffee table, I'm 'a whack you with a spoon!"

"I didn't do anything." Dean said defensively as Missouri scorned him.

"But you were thinkin' about it." Dean turned to see Jenny and Sam smiling in amusement. Missouri sat down.

"Okay... So John.. When did you meet him?" Jenny started as Missouri cleared her throat.

"He came for a reading. A few days after the fire. I just told him what was really out there in the dark. I guess you could say...I drew back the curtains for him." Missouri cut herself off, staring at Jenny.

"What about the fire? Do you know about what killed our mom?" Dean asked, leaning forward slightly.

"A little. Your daddy took me to your house. He was hopin' I could sense the echoes, the fingerprints of this thing."

"And... could you?" Jenny raised her brows, hoping that Missouri would have answers

"I..." The woman trailed off, shaking her head.

"What was it?" Sam asked, she still shook her head.

"I don't know. Oh, but it was evil." She spoke softly, looking at Jenny. "It was around the time I met John that—" She cut herself off again, Jenny frowning in confusion. "Oh, nevermind."

"Never mind? You can't just say that when you're looking at me." Jenny held her frown as the woman shook her head.

"You aren't ready to know. I apologize for thinking so." Sam and Dean looked at Jenny, then back to Missouri.

"Not ready to know? You must not know who I am then."

"Oh, I know who you are. Believe me, a lot of people do, Jenny-dear."

Jenny waved her hands. "You know what? This isn't why we're here." She started, leaning back into the couch. "We're here about their home."

"So... You three think something is back there?" Missouri asked. The Hunters nodded. "I haven't been back inside, but I've been keepin' an eye on the place, and it's been quiet. No sudden deaths, no freak accidents. Why is it actin' up now?"

"I don't know. But Dad going missing and Jessica dying and now this house all happening at once— it just feels like something's starting." Jenny crossed her arms.

"That's a comforting thought." Dean smiled sarcastically as Jenny looked between the two.

"I'm blaming that Bloody Mary case we worked on last month."

The four were now standing outside of the old Winchester house, Jenny answering the door, holding Ritchie. "Oh. Hey... What are you guys doing here?"

"Jenny, this is our friend, Missouri." Sam gestured to Missouri, who waved to Ritchie.

"it's not too much trouble, we were hoping to show her the old house. You know, for old time's sake." Dean smiled softly as Jenny looked at the four.

"You know, this isn't a good time. I'm kind of busy."

"Listen, Jenny, it's important." Missouri cut dean off by smacking him in the back of the head. "Ow!"

"Give the poor girl a break, can't you see she's upset? Forgive this boy, he means well, he's just not the sharpest tool in the shed—" Missouri looked between Jenny and Dean, who gave her a conflicted look. "But hear me out."

"About what?"

"About this house."

Blonde Jenny scoffed, shaking her head. "What are you talking about?"

"I think you know what I'm talking about. You think there's something in this house, something that wants to hurt your family. Am I mistaken?"

"Who are you?" Jenny asked as Missouri smiled at the blonde woman.

"We're people who can help, who can stop this thing. But you're gonna have to trust us, just a little."

After a few moments, the group was now walking down the hallway upstairs into Sari's bedroom. "If there's a dark energy around here, this room should be the center of it." Blonde Jenny left to go back downstairs, Jenny looking around Sari's room. Her gut folded in half as she stepped into the bedroom, a headache forming. She shook her head, brushing it off as she walked further in.

"Why?" Sam asked, Missouri sighing softly.

"This used to be your nursery, Sam. This is where it all happened." Sam looked up at the ceiling as Jenny continued looking around, Dean pulling out an EMF. "That an EMF?"

"Yeah." He smirked, turning it on.

"Amateur." Missouri scoffed and Dean glared at her. After a few moments, Dean nudged Sam and Jenny, watching as the EMF went ballistic. "I don't know if you three should be disappointed or relieved, but this ain't the thing that took your mom."

"Wait, are you sure?" Missouri looked at the three, nodding. "How do you know?"

"It isn't the same energy I felt the last time I was here. It's... somethin' different."

"What is it?"

"Not it." The older woman walked to the closet, opening the doors. "Them. There's more than one spirit in this place."

"What are they doing here?" Jenny asked, walking towards Sari's bed. She suddenly got a sickening feeling, turning away. Missouri looked as the girl doubled over, covering her mouth.

"Jen?" Dean spoke in a concerned tone as she shook her head, standing up slowly, even though she still felt sick.

"I'm— I'm okay." She reassured as Missouri flicked her arm. "Hey!"

"Don't you lie to them boys." Jenny looked at Missouri with a frown, turning to Sam and Dean. Missouri pointed to the ceiling, the three looking up. "Right there is where it happened."

"What?" Jenny asked, confusion furrowing her brows. "Oh— You mean—"

"You seem to feel the energy in this room, am I correct?" Sam and Dean looked between Missouri and Jenny, who nodded slowly.

"I felt it when I got in the house, too. It was— a dark feeling." She admitted, Sam's eyes widening.

"And didn't tell us?" He asked as Jenny shrugged defensively.

"I didn't think anything of it! I just thought it was seasonal depression." Dean frowned at her as Missouri rolled her eyes.

"This place is a magnet for paranormal energy. It's attracted a poltergeist. A nasty one. It maybe why your friend Jenny feels like this place has such a dark energy. And it won't rest until Jenny downstairs and her babies are dead." Missouri turned back to Jenny. "How long has this been going on for you?"

"What? Being able to sense when something is wrong? Since this morning... Maybe?" Maybe that was a lie. But since she always shrugged off those kinds of feelings, she didn't think much.

Missouri hummed, shaking her head. "You said there was more than one spirit." Sam reminded, looking at the psychic.

"There is. I just can't quite make out the second one."

"Well, one thing's for damn sure –- nobody's dyin' in this house ever again. So whatever is here, how do we stop it?"

✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

After the group had gone back to Missouri's house to get the essentials needed to purify the Winchester house, the four were now standing in the living room with Jenny, who was holding Ritchie as Sari was packing a backpack. Jenny was carrying a small duffel bag, leaning down slightly from the weight of it.

"I'm not really sure J feel comfortable leaving you guys here alone." Jenny commented as Dean gave her a reassuring smile.

"Just take your kids to the movies or somethin', and it'll be over by the time you get back." Missouri smiled as blonde Jenny gave her an unsure look, taking Sari and Ritchie out of the house.

Once Dean had shut the door, Jenny opened the duffel bag, handing everyone a hammer. "All right. Dean and I will take down here. You and Sam can head upstairs." Missouri and Sam nodded before leaving to the stairs, Jenny turned to Dean.

"Look, if anything happens—"

"You'll probably hear a lot of crashing if I get attacked." Jenny have Dean a small nod as he sighed, taking the small bag from Jenny as they parted ways, Dean heading to the kitchen.

Jenny moved the couch out of the way and knelt down, picking at the wall with her hammer before pulling at it, creating a semi-large hole. As Jenny went to shove the bag into the small hole, she paused, bearing a thud from the kitchen.

"Dean—?" Turning around, she gasped in shock as a cord from the lamp next to her wrapped around her neck. She dropped the hex bag, gasping for air as she slammed herself into the wall to make a noise, hoping it would alert Dean.

Thundering steps echoed into the room, Jenny coughing for air as she tried to pry the wire off of her neck. "Jennifer!" Dean yelled, more footsteps rushing to the woman. She tried to speak, gesturing to the bag with her eyes as she gasped.

Dean snatched the bag of herbs off of the ground, throwing it into the hole. A bright light blinded the two and the wire stopped tugging at Jenny's throat, her arms collapsing next to her as she grew weak, her head throbbing in pain.

Dean unraveled the wire around Jenny's throat, taking her face in his hands, looking down at the red mark that was already forming around her neck. He pulled her into a tight hug, one that she barely reciprocated as she coughed. "You're okay." He reassured quietly as Missouri and Sam came back downstairs, Sam appearing to have just gone through the same thing.

"What the hell happened?" Sam asked as Jenny and Dean looked over at him, noticing he also had a red mark around his throat.

"Did—" Jenny coughed, her voice cracked slightly. "Did a wire happen, too?" Sam frowned at her and he nodded slowly.

✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

Jenny, Sam, Dean and Missouri all sat around the dining table in the now very messy kitchen. There was a deep stab mark in the wall, which Jenny had concluded was from the thud she heard hours ago. Dean kept staring at her throat, which had already started to bruise. Whatever was in the house wanted to get her more than it had gotten Sam.

"You sure this is over?" Sam asked as Missouri nodded. Jenny stared at a magazine in front of her, brows furrowed, deep in thought.

"I'm sure. Why do you ask?" Sam shook his head as the front door opened.

"We're home—" Jenny paused at the mess in the kitchen, looking around. "What happened?"

"Hi, sorry. Um, we'll pay for all of this." Dean gave his brother a confused look, knowing they weren't actually going to do that.

"Don't you worry. Dean's gonna clean up this mess." Dean glared at her for a moment. "Well, what are you waiting for, boy? Get the mop!" He stood up, starting to walk away. "And don't cuss at me!" The man paused for a moment before muttering something under his breath, walking out.

Blonde Jenny walked into the kitchen, pausing when she noticed the bruising around Jenny's throat. She frowned for a moment before walking out.

✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

The three hunters were still at the old Winchester house. Though now, they were basically camping outside, no thanks to Sam.

"Missouri did her whole Zelda Rubenstein thing, the house should be clean, it should be over." Dean said as Jenny looked at her throat through her camera, frowning as she rubbed it gently.

"Yeah, well, probably. But I just wanna make sure, that's all." Sam commented, looking out to the house.

"Yeah, well, problem is I could be sleeping in a bed right now." Dean sank down in his seat, shutting his eyes as he attempted to fall asleep.

Not before long, Sam was slapping his brother, Jenny looking up quickly. "Dean, look!" Before Dean or Jenny could say anything, Sam was running out of the car. The two he had left looked at one another before quickly following the young Winchester out.

"You two grab the kids, I'll get Jenny." Dean ordered before slamming himself through the door, the three running up the stairs. Sam ran into his old nursery as Jenny burst through Ritchie's door, startling the little boy awake.

"Hey... Sorry buddy we gotta go." Jenny reached into his crib, picking the boy up and following Sam downstairs.

"Sari, take your brother and whatever you do, don't look back." Jenny ordered as she gave the girl her little brother. Sam was suddenly thrown down to the ground and Sari screamed, running out of the house as Jenny pulled out her gun.

"Sam!" Jenny went to grab him before being thrown back into a cabinet, glass shattering around her as Sam slid back into a table. Jenny's gun slid away from her and she groaned in pain, rolling onto her back.

A loud crash came from the kitchen, followed by the splintering noise of the front door as Dean broke it down. "Jen! Where's Sam?!" Dean helped her stand up as she pointed to the kitchen. Jenny grabbed her gun before following him.

Though it probably wouldn't do as much as the shotgun in Dean's hands, she still raised her gun at the fiery silhouette that was stalking towards Sam.

"No! No don't!" Sam yelled, raising his hand out to his brother and Jenny. The two paused in confusion. "I know who it is. I can see her now."

The fire suddenly vanished, and standing before them, a blonde woman in a white nightgown smiled at Dean. The man's expression softened, and he lowered his gun.

"Mom?" He spoke softly, Mary's smile grew a little wider as she stepped closer to her son.

"Dean." Jenny looked at Dean as tears formed in his eyes. Mary turned to look at Jenny.

"You must be Jenny." Confusion on the three's faces appeared again, Jenny's gun lowered. Before the girl could ask anything more, Mary turned to Sam, walking to him.

"Sam.." The younger Winchester smiled weakly, crying as Mary smile faded. "I'm sorry."

"For what?" Sam's voice broke. Mary didn't answer. Instead, she looked up at the ceiling.

"You get out of my house. And let go of my son." Mary returned into a gulf of flames before disappearing, Sam dropped from the wall. Dean let out a gasp, and the three hunters looked at one another, stunned.

"Now it's over."

✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

Jenny, other Jenny, and Dean all stood by the Impala, Sam and Missouri walking out of the house as other Jenny handed Dean a box of photos.

"Thanks for these." He smiled weakly, opening the box.

"Don't thank me. They're yours." Dean pulled out a small photo, turning it around to see the names.

"Jen." He nudged the girl, handing her the picture. She furrowed her brows in confusion.

"The Winchester's and Price's. John, Mary, Henry and Phoebe." She read quietly as she scoffed in disbelief. "My parents... Oh my god."

It never made sense. If her parents knew the Winchester's, then how come she didn't meet them until after they were dead? Maybe it was because they all moved in with their lives. Or maybe it was something else.

Whatever it was... Maybe John knew.

are you really that surprised that I'd put a 'plot twist' like that in here? because i'm not surprised either. wasn't even planning on doing it, really. but... yeah.
