Part 73 (Last Part)

The next morning

Raizadas and Guptas were ready to go back to Delhi.

Arnav opened the door, hearing a knock on it. He saw Ratna and Arvind standing.

"We are ready, Dad..." Arnav said.

"Before leaving Mumbai, we would like to have a few words with you, Chotte," Arvind said.

Arnav nodded yes and gave them space to enter his room.

"We are going back to Delhi. Do you know why?" Arvind look that Khushi.

She bowed down.

"We got to know that you want to be with your wife without any disturbance. Yes, your wife requested us not to disturb you."

This time Arnav looked that Khushi.

"We are glad that you got an understanding partner. She understands you better than us. We don't want you to face trouble. That's why we came here. Now we understood that we will be your trouble." He chuckled.

"We passed our days worrying about you, Chotte. We always wanted your happiness and also a partner to understand you. Now, you got one. She is a blessing in your life. And we are happier because you know her values. Be happy and keep her happy. She is going to be a mother. She needs extra attention than before. I hope you will take care of her" Arvind said.

Arnav nodded yes and looked at Ratna.

"Don't glare at me. You said you will be here if we don't show any progress in our relationship. But, you came here even after we showed a BIG PROGRESS. Is not it cheating?" Arnav asked smilingly.

Ratna chuckled.

"Let it be anything, Beta. We will come before Khushi's delivery and will stay here for a few days. Your dramas and Khushi's requests will not be acceptable then. Understand?" Ratna said.

Arnav rolled his eyes.

"Will you come here for ALL the next babies too?" Arnav asked.

"ALL the next Babies? How many are there in the queue?" Ratna looked at Khushi surprisingly.

"Just four..." Arnav said.

"Four?"

Arnav nodded yes.

"Don't you have any other work?" Ratna asked.

Arvind laughed whereas Khushi was embarrassed.

"By the way, do you think, bringing them up will be that easy?"

"who is going to bring them up?" Arnav asked.

"then what will you do to them?" Arvind asked.

"I will send two children to RM and two children to GH..." Arnav shrugged his shoulders off.

"Oh..."

"Didn't we see how you guys are struggling to pass your time... it's because you guys are alone. I don't want you and Khushi's parents to feel lonely. You will not have to pass your time spending it by watching daily soaps if you are engaged with your grandchildren. They will keep you busy. What say?" Arnav asked seriously.

"Then what are YOU (She stressed) going to do?" Ratna asked.

"I will be doing my work with my wife," Arnav said making a calm face.

"What work, Beta?" she asked teasingly.

"Office work... what else?" Arnav said controlling his laughter.

"Good plan, Chotte. go on" Ratna smiled.

Arvind hugged Arnav laughingly.

"Damn you boy, I never dreamt of this day in my life. How talkative you became...! Thank you Khushi beta, for bringing our Chotte out of the shell" Arvind touched Khushi's head lovingly.

They heard a knock on the door again.

"it must be Shashi uncle," Arnav said.

"Yeah, we are running out of time. let's go" Arvind opened the door.

Shashi smiled at them.

"Shall we go?" Shashi asked.

"Yup..." Arvind came out and carried their bag.

"Khushi, breakfast, and lunch are ready. I and Ratnaji prepared them. You don't have to prepare anything." Garima said.

"Why did you cook, Amma? I would have prepared..."

"It's ok... Damadji didn't give us a chance to look after you. Be free for at least one day"

"He will take care of me, Amma"

"I know. That's why I agree to go back"

Khushi hugged Garima lovingly.

Arnav and Khushi went with them to the airport. They sent them off without facing much drama except for a formal farewell. They left the airport after sending them off. Arnav started the engine. They didn't converse much. Khushi frowned seeing the car traveling towards the Cloud nine apartments instead of AM Designs.

"Arnavji, we have no time to go to our home," Khushi said glancing at the road.

"We are going to our home only"

"We will be late to the office then"

"Have you been assigned with any work or what?" Arnav asked.

"No..."

"Then why are you bothering...? try to be cool. Don't stress yourself for anything. I'm here to handle everything. Ok?"

She sighed.

"I just confirmed my pregnancy. Don't know why you guys are overreacting" She chuckled.

Arnav looked at her making a weird face.

They came to the house.

"I will bring plates. We will start after finishing breakfast" Khushi was about to go to the kitchen.

Arnav stopped her.

"We are not going to the office today," he said.

"Whaaaat?"

"I took off today and spoke to Aman too"

"But why?"

"Just feel to be with you..."

"Arnavji, you are with me only"

"This is not like that... but something different"

"Arnavji, if you have any idea to go to the bed then just forget it" she warned.

"What do you think of me? I too have responsibility. Don't you dare think of your husband for the next few days? Ok?"

Khushi dropped her jaw and sat on the couch making face. Arnav sat next to her, circling her shoulders.

"Don't you really want me to touch you?" Khushi asked.

Arnav nodded yes.

"Could you be?"

"We have to... For our Baby"

Khushi leaned on his shoulder.

"Tell me why are we off today if you have no idea to touch me?"

"In the process of coming home late, I made you stay out for long yesterday. So, thought to make you relaxed today"

"So sweet" She pinched his lower lip lovingly.

"Let me be a good father. Stop captivating me" Arnav smiled.

"I too want to say the same, Mr. Going to be a father" she smiled.

Arnav chuckled. Khushi sat on his lap, circling his neck.

"You look so handsome these days"

"Really?"

"Mmm"

"Why are you admiring me openly? Are you testing me whether I can be in my control or not?" He grinned.

"Wow... you became smart" she giggled.

Arnav tucked her hair fondly.

"What would I have been if you are not there for me?" he asked.

"You would have been as SPECIAL as before"

"Special? And me? Really?"

"You are always special... just like a forest flower... just like a moon in the sky..."

"Only you can see something special in me. That's why you are so special to me. No one could take your place in my heart... not even my mother... not even my daughter"

Khushi smiled.

"Dad was not wrong. They were worried about me. I know that yet, I could do nothing because I didn't get anything strong to hold on to until I marry you. Should mention, you have guts Khushi..."

Khushi laughed.

"Yeah... who will dare marry a man who is completely weird from the real world? I just can't believe I got married and I'm going to be a father too... these all seem to dream to me because I never gave a thought to those. Today, taking a day off, I'm spending my time with my wife... damn... you are the best woman I have ever met" he kissed her cheek strongly.

"Don't exaggerate, Arnavji. The much I know, you have never met any woman in your life" Khushi teased.

Arnav rolled his eyes.

"I might not be met any woman but many women tried to get my attention. It became possible only for you"

"It's because I'm your wife. You allowed me to be with you in your house. That's why it became possible for me. Or else, a big NO"

"Yeah... You know, the letter you wrote to me touched me deeply. I had got many letters from girls when I studied in school and college but I never read one of them. Your letter was the first-ever letter I could not ignore. I don't know how many times I read it. Each and every line of the letter stayed in my heart. You had been written in it, you didn't want to disturb me but I got disturbed like ever before. You wrote you won't become noise in my loneliness. You are right. you are not noise but a MELODY in my loneliness. I felt so special when you showed care for me. That day I came to the conclusion that I want you in my life."

He kissed her knuckle.

"Why are you looking emotional?"

"I don't know..."

"But, I know... the thought of staying away from me is disturbing you, right?"

"I'm not going to stay away from you. Just because we are not going to have a sexual relationship, I won't feel aloof"

"Really?"

"Yes... because you are in my heart... you will always be..."

"You know what? I must be the one who should talk about you because you were the toughest nut to crack but you are talking about me" she teased.

"It's because only I know how tough I had been. Only I know how happy I felt to be alone. But you changed everything... you changed me... you changed my interest, becoming my only interest..."

He stopped for a few seconds.

"I love you so much, Khushi. I will be loving you till my last breath"

Khushi kissed his forehead, getting emotional. Arnav hugged her closing his eyes as he felt to be in her arms. He will feel to be in her arms for his whole life... the man who once liked the solitary.
