50 Nose Cut

Part 50 Nose cut

"Who are you?" Arnav asked Vishal.

"Didn't I say, uncle? See, Arnav doesn't remember me because he never spoke to anyone in our school" Vishal told Shashi.

"Of course, I didn't speak to anyone when I WAS (he stressed) studying in school because I didn't find any GOOD boys in my class" Arnav snapped him back.

"I'm Vishal... we studied in the same section in eleventh and twelfth standard," Vishal said.

Khushi looked at him horrified. Is he Vishal Arnav wanted to meet? Couldn't Arnav really recognize him or he is pretending?

"Oh, is that you... the one who got a slipper shot from our class girl for giving a love letter?" Arnav said casually.

Vishal's face was worth watching. Shashi looked at him shockingly.

"No no... it's another Vishal..." he tried to make up.

"Arrey, I can remember well. There was only one Vishal in my class. You are son of Nakul... milk product dealer... right?" Arnav asked.

Before Vishal answered, Shashi did.

"Yes... he is a son of Nakul only"

"Uncle, do you know what he did in our school Annual day program?" Arnav asked Shashi laughing.

Vishal gulped down hard.

"What?"

"Arnav... is it necessary to talk about the old stories?" Vishal tried to stop him from narrating it.

"When you are in front of me, why won't I share the old experience? Uncle, Vishal was beaten up by our school girls for peeping inside the dressing room..." Arnav laughed.

Shashi was looking at him loath fully whereas Vishal felt ashamed to get insulted in front of Shashi and Khushi. Khushi's eyes became wide in shock.

"There are many things to talk about Vishal. I will tell you tomorrow when we come to GH" Arnav said in between his laughter.

Khushi was reading Vishal's changed awkward facial expression. How dare he...! He had been roaming around girls and he was exaggerating about Arnav's character to his father as if his life was a clean slate... Damn it... Arnavji gave an invisible slap on his face. he won't dare talk about Arnavji anymore. Khushi thought.

"Thank God, my Arnavji didn't have such friends... it's good that he didn't talk to anyone. Otherwise, these guys would have been spoilt him too" Khushi said with a fake fear.

"No, Khushi... I would not have spoilt even though I had his friendship... no one can change the nature of the person no matter with whom he has friendship." Arnav glanced at Vishal.

"But, you have changed when you got my company..." Khushi said proudly.

"How won't I change if my wife is so sweet and cute?" he asked cheesily.

Vishal was like what the hell whereas Shashi adored them.

"Do you know what I asked the God?" Khushi asked pointing at the temple.

"What?"

"I didn't ask for anything but thanked God for sending you in my life" she smiled.

"You will have to thank God for many things in the future" he teased.

"I will gladly do that..."

Vishal saw Shashi looking at him with pride and at him with loath.

"Actually, it happened many years back when I was a teenage boy... I'm a changed man now... TIME changes everything and everyone... isn't it uncle?" Vishal smiled like an idiot.

"You are right, Vishal... Time changes everything and everyone... just like, it changed Arnav..." Shashi said proudly.

Vishal gulped hard.

"See you, Arnav... we will meet tomorrow," Shashi said.

"Ok, uncle..."

Shashi left the place, starting his bike. Arnav also left the place with Khushi. Vishal stood all frustrated. He didn't think Arnav would remember all his roguery deeds. It seems he could not play his cards with Shashi anymore.

Arnav was riding the bike with an extreme level of happiness. Not because he cut off Vishal's nose. It's because Khushi took his side in cutting Vishal's nose. This is how he wanted this matter to work. Not only Vishal but also Shashi should have known the mutual understanding between him and Khushi. it would have seemed an exaggeration if only he had talked there. The highlight of the sequence was Khushi's stand. That's what made Shashi satisfied and Vishal shocked.

Khushi kept her chin on his shoulder, circling his waist from behind. Arnav smiled at her through the rearview mirror. His smile told her how pleased he was.

RM

They came to RM. Arvind was cutting onions in the living room while watching TV. He was watching a daily soap. It was a re-telecasting of the previous day's program.

"Ratna... come fast. See, what is she doing"

Ratna rushed out of the kitchen.

"Didn't I say...? See, how evil she is"

"Yes, Ratna. I didn't expect she would turn evil"

"Dad... from when you started watching serial?" Arnav asked with a smile.

"What else we can do Chotte? Oldies like us have any other time pass?" Ratna asked.

"Yeah... she kept on addressing me old. So, I too started watching serials, giving her company" Arvind chuckled.

"Arnavji, it seems, we too will do the same in our old ages," Khushi said.

"No... we won't. Yet we will be busy" Arnav said.

The trio looked at him.

"Won't you watch serials in your old age?" Arvind asked.

Arnav nodded no.

"It seems our Chotte has good ideas to spend time in his old ages," Ratna said.

Arnav nodded yes.

"If you have such ideas, tell us too, Chotte... we will also get rid of these serials," Arvind asked.

"I and Khushi will spend our time for one another"

Arvind and Ratna spared a glance whereas Khushi smiled.

"Then, Khushi and I will spend time with our grandchildren... then from where will we get time to watch serials? Won't we be busy for the whole day?"

"Whole day? What will you do for the whole day?"

"I will never let them be ALONE..." he said seriously.

"Oh..."

"Being alone is a bad habit you know? Being a good father, I won't allow my son to be alone" He said looking at Arvind from the corner of his eyes.

Ratna dropped her jaw and Arvind became horrified whereas Khushi chuckled.

"Ratna, it seems this boy will blame us for whatever he did"

"Then what? Is not it a parent's responsibility to make their son understand? How could you guys let me be alone as per my wish? See, how my wife changed me...!" he said suppressing his laughter.

Keeping the onion tray down, Arvind stood.

"Ratna, pack all our things. We are going to Mumbai to be with Chotte... he is going to make us grandparents and we are going to spend our time with our grandchildren... understand?" Arvind said.

"Dad, I will surely welcome you to Mumbai... but not now..."

"Then when?"

"When Khushi gives birth to your grandchild"

"Why not now?"

"Let me spend my time with my wife Dad"

"Ohhhh...." Arvind nodded his head up and down with a sarcastic gesture.

Ratna smiled happily. She could not believe this is all happening in real. This is what she yearned for... a complete family setup. She prayed to God to keep them happy always... nothing more than that.

To be continued...
