1. Abduction

"Wake up you lazy ass." I hit my brother, Jordan in the head with his own pillow whose brown hair was sticking out of the covers.

"Five more minutes." He muffles lowly digging his head under the cotton blankets.

"Get up!" I yell pulling off the covers off him revealing his naked body. I flush red in embarrassment quickly looking away. "Gross!" I squeal.

I hear him start to chuckle looking at me getting up from the bed walking towards the closet butt naked. "Don't you have that interview today?" He groans scratching his side in a yawn.

"Yeah, so get up because you're late for work!" I look towards the door.

"What time is it?" Jordan asks pulling out a black shirt and a blue sweater.

"7:30 P.M!" I shout storming off.

"Oh shit!" I hear him yell from his room.

My brother works through the night until 6:00 A.M I'm not sure what he was working as, he has been avoiding my question for some time now.

It makes me worry most of the time, what if he's doing something illegal like selling drugs?

I was struggling to find a job due to my low working experience and we were two months behind rent.

I walk downstairs and open the front door ready to leave. "Get out the way asshole!" I hear him yell running down the stairs pushing me to the side as he runs out the door.

"Jerk!" I yell walking out of the apartment shutting the door behind me.

AT THE INTERVIEW

Finally, after an hour of traffic waiting impatiently in the bus I make it into the hotel.

"Hi, I'm here for an interview." I smile to the woman in the front desk who only pointed at the elevator. "Third floor." She says emotionless.

I walk to the elevator along with ten more girls around my age.

Are they here for an interview too? God, I hope not I really need this job.

The elevator reaches the third floor and all the girls walk out heading to the interview room. Every girl signs in their name into the sheet of paper in the front empty desk taking twenty minutes until I can sign.

I sigh sitting down in the corner looking at the rest of the girls who were wearing expensive blouses, skirts and high heels.

I unbutton my wool jacket and look at my clothes that look rigid from many uses; you could see the colors start to fade from the fabric. My white blouse had turned yellow from various washes, my black dress pants were fading to grey and I wore my snow boots of four years.

How are these girls wearing heels in this cold? They must've come in a car.

I sigh waiting to be called. After thirty minutes of waiting I hear my name being called by a middle aged man with glasses.

I get up and walk towards the man who lead me into a room. "So, Ms. Reed why do you want this job?" He asks sitting on his cushioned brown chair as I give him my resume.

I hated this question, it's obvious I need one to survive.

"Hello, Mr. Walt I would like this job because I -" I was cut off by the man who's scheming through my resume.

"You have no experience." He simply says closing my resume and slides it to me on his desk. "You're dismissed."

"Sir, if you could give me a chance I know I can do the job even better than the rest of the staff." I plead.

"I'm looking for experienced workers and you don't qualify." His tone becomes firm while his eyes dart daggers at me.

"Please, I need this job I'm struggling." I keep insisting, pleading for a chance to prove my worth.

"I don't care for your tragedy. Now, see yourself out or I will call security." He folds his hands on the desk.

I grab my resume. "Screw you." I say in anger storming out of the room buttoning up my wool jacket.

I waited fifty minutes just to get rejected.

Bastard.

I walk into the elevator and walk into the lobby seeing heavy snow cover the ground in a matter of minutes. I look at the T.V in the corner of the wall.

"There is a snow storm approaching Alaska, it seems it will last for two hours until the snow stops. All transportation has been shut down and everyone should get home quickly as possible." I hear the news reporter say. "Great." I sigh heavily pushing the door feeling the snow hit my bare face and neck.

I start to walk against the snow making the flakes cover my jacket and my red hair that stuck out of my hat.

"Worst day ever." I exhale feeling the cold rush through my body.

It was 10:00 P.M and all the stores were closed, there were no cars passing by due to the amount of snow that recently covered the streets and sidewalks. People entered their homes while I kept walking.

I walk in the snow with my knee high winter boots on leaving tracks behind me. I can see the dim lights of the lamp posts flicker making it harder to see ahead from the darkness surrounding me.

Vapor escapes from my mouth from the cold. I can feel my bare hands burning making them become red putting my freezing hands into my pockets of my wool navy blue coat.

I had only walked for twenty minutes and my nose was already bright red and my cheeks flushed pink seeing my reflection through the long rectangular window from a closed clothing store.

I hear footsteps approaching me, pacing faster and faster making me look back quickly. I see a man in a black fabric mask wearing all black clothing.

I widen my eyes beginning to run in the snow making my feet heavy. "Help! Somebody help me!" I scream in a cry looking around to find nobody on sight.

"Help!" I scream trying to run faster hoping somebody would hear my cries. My throat became sore from the cold quickly making it harder to breathe freely. "Help me! Somebody!"

I hear the tall figure run behind me feeling a grip on my hair. My white ski hat fell into the ground covered in snow. The man groans pulling my hair towards him making me collapse. "No, stop!" I scream struggling from his grasp, punching and kicking aimlessly.

"Shhh." The man whispers into my ear grabbing onto my wrists starting to cuff them.

"No!" I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm.

He doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing. The man starts to shackle my ankles together as I lay a full blown kick into his face making him groan in pain holding onto his nose on top of the mask.

"Help me, somebody!" I keep yelling as he kicks me in the stomach and takes out a clothed bag from his coat pocket putting it over my head covering my face. He ties it up from the back tightly making my neck feel pressured.

"Please." I whimper. "You don't have to do this." I cry admitting defeat hoping he would have some sympathy for me.

"Night, night." He chuckles hitting me behind the head making me lose consciousness.
______________________

I slowly open my eyes finding myself sitting on a moving surface. I can only see pitch black from the bag over my head.

I hear many muffles around me and cries, as I was about to speak I realize my mouth had been taped I could only muffle like the rest.

Where am I?

What's going on?

The surface kept moving non stop and it would shake occasionally from the bumps on the road. It sounds like we were in the back of a truck.

Hours pass and suddenly the surface stops shaking completely. I hear footsteps from outside approaching the back. Muffles began to intensify making my heart beat race uncontrollably.

I hear the back doors open and men talking amongst themselves as they hop inside the back of the truck.

A girl starts to muffle screams. "Toss her over." I hear another man say from farther away, probably from the outside.

The girl's cries start to echo further away from us making us cringe from the lack of sight and knowing.

Am I dreaming?

.......

.......

This can't be real..
