~Third Person POV~

Sam, Colby, Corey, Aaron, Jake, Elton, Reggie, Xepher, Tara, Devyn and Katrina all meet up at Brennen's house, all of them doing a gift exchange. Brennen is running it, so he decided that he would just get out of it, that way there he can know who got who. It's Christmas Eve, so the friends are all going to find out who they're getting and get the gifts for the next day.

Sam and Colby are the first to arrive, them getting there together since they lived near each other. Soon after them, Jake and Reggie get there together. The girls all arrived at once, seeing as they were doing a girls day out the day before, then having a sleepover at Katrina's house. Elton gets there fashionably late, Corey and Aaron still nowhere in sight.

In about 30 minutes after everybody was supposed to be there so they could start, Corey and Aaron finally arrive together. "Finally!" Brennen explains, calling everybody into the living room. Jake and Tara sit down next to one another, seeing as they've been dating for a while now. Reggie sits down near them, not knowing any of the others too well, so just sitting with his brother. Kat and Sam broke up a few months ago, so there's still a bit of awkward tension between the both of them.

Kat, Devyn and Xepher sit together, Sam and Colby both sitting at the opposite side of the entire room. Aaron and Corey are just in the middle, all the friends together. "So, shall we get on to why I brought everybody here?" Brennen asks, everybody nodding. "Well, since we're all really good friends, I figured we should do something special for some of our friends we don't hang out with too much. So, I figured, why don't we do a Secret Santa? So, that's what we're doing."

Talking erupts from the room, mainly from the fact that nobody has had the time to buy anything. "Come on, come find out who everybody's getting!" Brennen smiles, holding a Santa hat that clearly has papers with names on it. (I used a wheel decide website when I was figuring out who got who, so ye)

Sam was the first to walk up, Colby following afterwards. Sam ended up drawing Aaron, while Colby drew his blonde best friend, Sam. There's a line behind them, starting with Corey and then going down the list. Corey ended up drawing Colby, Aaron drew Reggie, Elton drew Devyn, Jake got Xepher, Reggie got Jake, Xepher got Corey, Tara got Kat, Devyn getting Tara, and Kat got Elton.

Everybody sits down where they were originally seated, Brennen standing tall. "Now that we got this, you guys may leave. Make sure to bring your gifts tomorrow!" he smiles, everybody piling out of his house.

Colby and Sam hop into Colby's car, heading straight to Target. They split up as soon as they get in there, Sam going to the video section so he could get Aaron a new microphone, seeing as Aaron's been complaining that his current one sucks. Colby, on the other hand, decides he's going to go all out with getting Sam gifts, even though he already got him a ton for Christmas Day. He grins slightly, excited for one of the gifts Sam's getting for Christmas Day.

Colby already has the plan of making Christmas Day this year being the best Christmas Sam has ever had, no matter what. Colby grabs some of Sam's favorite candy, a cross necklace for when they do their ghost hunting videos, and some other things he finds Sam would love. He also grabs a promise ring, having an idea on what he's going to do with it.

Colby heads to check out soon afterwards, texting Sam with "ready to head out when you are."

(I'm just skipping what everybody else bought, mainly because of the reason of it's almost the end of the day and I'm lazy-)

They both headed home, Colby cautious not to let Sam see what he got. They spent some time wrapping their gifts for their friends, Sam calling it a night once he finished. Sam, Jake, and Colby were having a sleepover that night, Jake not even at the house yet. Sam went to sleep on the couch, not even caring to do anything, seeing as he hasn't sleep that good for a bit now.

Colby puts all the gifts together, making sure to leave the promise ring near his jacket. He walks into the main room, finding Sam asleep on the couch. He smiles, grabbing a blanket from the hall closet and draping it over Sam, that way there he stays warm. "Night, Sam," he says softly to the sleeping boy, sitting down on the loveseat.

After about ten minutes, knocking comes from the door. Colby gets the door, finding Jake. "Hey, be quiet, Sam's asleep," the brunette explains as soon as he opens the door, Jake nodding. The two of them end up playing some video games, talking about random things.

"Hey Jake?" Colby asks, the other male humming in response. "Can I tell you about a plan I have?"

Jake nods, and Colby takes a deep breath. He explains to Jake that he got Sam a promise ring, promising their friendship won't ever end. He also tells Jake about how he plans on asking Sam to be his boyfriend, seeing as he's had a huge crush on Sam for the longest time.

Jake smiles, patting Colby's shoulder. "He's gonna love it, man. I know it."

Colby smiles, happy to have that reassurance. Some time later, Jake and Colby headed to bed as well, the house going quiet.

At the Christmas party at Brennen's house, all of the friends hold boxes with gifts to their friends. Colby bites his lip nervously, worried that Sam is going to reject him later that night. "Sam?" the brunette boy asks, walking up to the blonde. Sam smiles, turning around and looking at Colby.

"Hey, Colbs! What's up?" he asks, and Colby bites his lip a bit. He places the gifts down in a chair, pulling out a ring. Sam looks at his best friend, confused.

"Sam, you've been my best friend for so many years now, I just wanted to get you this ring. For as long as you have this ring, and even longer, I promise that I'm always going to be right by your side, no matter what happens."

The blonde's eyes water as he looks at his best friend, pulling Colby into a tight hug. "T-Thank you, Colby.." he says, making his friend smile.

"Of course, Sam," he hums. "Can I ask you something though? Outside?"

Colby bites his lip a bit when Sam nods, leading Sam out towards the backdoor. Once there, he grabs Sam's hands gently, looking at him. "Alright, well... Sam, I've had a crush on you for a long time now. I've never acted on it, but I've liked you... since high school. I know I haven't ever shown any affection in that way, and I know you're probably going to just reject me, but Sam; I love you. Will you be my boyfriend?"

Sam's mouth hangs open, shocked. Never in a million years did he imagine that his best friend, and crush, would ask him out. "Y-Yes, Colby!" he blushes, hugging Colby again.

Colby hugs back, looking down at the smaller boy in his arms. "May I kiss you?" he asks softly, Sam nodding. Their lips meet halfway for a slow, yet passionate, kiss. From inside the house, they hear a bunch of "awwwww"s, making them pull away. They look at the backdoor, finding all their friends peeking through the window.

Everybody headed inside, Brennen standing on a table in attempt to be tall so he can get everyone's attention. "Alright, everybody," he shouts. "Let's share our gifts with everybody!"

All of the friends cluster together, attempting to give their gifts to the other. Colby grabs Sam's hand, pulling him to the side a bit. "What are you doing, Colbs? You need to give your person their gift," the blonde boy looks at his now-lover, confused. Colby hands Sam his boxes of gifts, Sam blushing softly.

"I am, I got you," he smiles. Sam starts opening the gifts, loving all of them.

"Thank you, Colby... so much... this is the best Christmas ever."

Best Christmas ever, Colby agreed silently.
