My first class after lunch was Biology. Yeah, I wasn't very excited.

My mood did a small flip when I walked in and saw Todoroki sitting at once of the tables. Guess we have a class together after all.

I was walking up to the front to talk to the teacher when Todoroki started to squirm in his seat. Somehow I seemed to be the only one to notice. I was a little worried, he looked like he was in pain. Maybe he missed lunch?

"Ah yes, Izuku Midoriya, correct?" The teacher called, grabbing my attention.

"Oh yes, that's me." I answered.

The teacher nodded and pointed to Todoroki's table. "You'll be sitting right there."

I nodded and made my way over. As I got closer, his eyes widened and he moved as far over as the joint table would allow. He was covering his nose, which I only noticed as I got closer.

Did I.... Smell?

I sat down feeling more self conscious than normal, which was saying a lot.

Throughout the class, Todoroki didn't say a single word to me, he barely even looked at me. It was one of the most painfully awkward experiences of my life.

The few seconds before the bell rang, he was already out of his seat and rushing for the door.

I met up with Aoyama outside of the classroom. "How'd it go?" He asked.

I shrugged. "Todoroki is my lab partner."

Aoyama actually froze in the middle of the hallway. He just came to a dead stop. "Are you serious?"

I nodded, not knowing what the big deal was.

My new friend just smiled and shook his head. "Have fun with that. Oh and don't tell Uraraka, she might try to hit you with her car."

Now it was my turn to freeze.

I dropped my bag off when I walked through the front door. It was a long day, even if it went better than expected.

Hisashi walked out of the kitchen just as I was about to walk in, almost resulting in a collision.

"How was the first day?" He asked me after taking a small step back.

"Fine, made some friends. I think."

He nodded at the information absently. "That's good."

We stood in the hallway in silence, unsure of what to say next. I guess this is what happens when you don't see your dad for years.

"Well, I have a lot of homework, so I'm just gonna..."

My father nodded, seemingly relieved at being set free from his parenting duty. "Of course, I'll call you down when dinners done."

I raised an eyebrow at that. "You can't cook?"

We almost always ate out when I busted in the past. Unless he had taken a few cooking classes few years, there was no way he could successfully make us dinner.

"True," he said with a small smile. "But I can grill. Burgers sound good?"

I just nodded and finally retreated back to my room.

Once there, I checked my phone for the first time since I left for school. I had honestly just forgotten about it with all the excitement of the first day.

Mom~
Good luck on the first day! Make sure to call me tonight and tell me all about it! Love you <3

I smiled at the text from my mother, just then realizing how much I missed her. My face changed to one of confusion when I saw that it wasn't the only message I had.

Kacchan~
Good luck nerd, you're gonna need it.

My stomach did a little flip when I saw the message. Katsuki texted me on my first day? That was... really nice of him.

Unless his mom made him do it. Then it was really nice of her.

Izuku~
Just saw this now, but thanks!

It took a few minutes for him to respond, but when he did my stomach flipped again.

Kacchan~
What? They don't allow phones?

Izuku~
Not really, it IS a school after all.

Kacchan~

How was it?

Izuku~
Overwhelming really, but I think I made some friends.

Kacchan~
No one gave you shit for your height?

I audibly sighed.

Izuku~
Just you kacchan.

Kacchan~
Damn, guess we just gotta hang out more to make up for it then.

I think I died a little bit when I read that message.

Izuku~
Guess so.

Smooth Izuku, smooth.

Kacchan~
See you tomorrow then.

Izuku~
But I have school tomorrow?

Kacchan~
After school dumbass.

Izuku~
Oh
Ok!

Guess I was hanging out with Kacchan after school.

My second day at Forks High School was pretty boring.

At least until Biology.

Walking in was more nerve-racking than flying alone. I made sure to shower that morning and reapplied deodorant a few times. I wasn't sure if I was the reason Todoroki was acting weird yesterday, but I really hoped I wasn't today.

Todoroki was already seated at our table, just like yesterday, but this time he didn't seem incredibly uncomfortable.

Thank God.

I took my seat just as the bell rang, sending the dual haired boy a nervous smile.

The teacher said a short greeting before letting us go to work on the lab we started yesterday.

I looked through the microscope and said, "Anaphase."

"Mind if I have a look?" Todoroki asked with a small, but strained, smile.

The question caught me off guard. After yesterday, that's what he decided to ask me?

"Sure." I mumbled, a little offended he felt the need to verify. Did I not look like I was good at simple biology?

He scooted the microscope over to his side of the table. Looking through, he took a few minutes before moving away. "Anaphase."

"Wow, almost like that's what I said." I whispered to myself, almost certain it was too quiet for him to hear.

He let out a sudden laugh, startling me. "Sorry, just thought it wouldn't hurt to double check."

My face heated up. How did he hear me?!

"No no, it's okay! Don't worry." I immediately said. "Double check all you want."

Way to go, Izuku.

Todoroki shook his head. "I trust you."

I could only nod and continue with the lab. There was a brief moment of silence, but Todoroki broke it by clearing his throat.

"Hey um, I'm- I'm sorry for how odd I acted yesterday. I wasn't feeling well." He explained.

I felt a huge wave of relief wash over me. Shooting him a small smile, I said "It's okay, don't worry about it."

That seemed to be a relief to him, because I watched him visibly relax into his chair.

We continued on with the lab, the air around us a little less tense. "How're you liking the rain?" He questioned while switching out a slide.

I scoffed at him, looking up through my lashes. "Are you really asking me about the weather?"

Todoroki sent me a half smile. "Guess I am."

I shrugged. "It's wet."

He rose an eyebrow. "That's all?"

"It's just wet and cold. I don't tend to enjoy cold, wet things."

I noticed he frowned before he schooled his features back to neutral. "I can understand that."

Class ended shortly after that and to my surprise, Todoroki walked with me out of the room.
