Nico

All Nico could see was the darkness, endless darkness. He felt the coolness of the shadows around him and smelled the poisonous air of Tartarus himself. Nico found himself laying in a ball on the broken glass shoreline of the River cocytus and he began hearing whispers he looked around but didn't see anyone. The whispers got louder and he could make out the voices and he covered his ears not wanting to hear them knowing it will only hurt him if he did. But the voices got even louder he heard Bianca, Annabeth, Percy, Jason, Piper, Leo, Frank and even Hazel. Then shadows began shaping into the owners of the voices and surrounding him in a circle.

"You'll never be loved," Bianca said.

"Not when you're so dark," Percy said.

"Especially not when you're the way you are, gay," Annabeth said and she said the word gay as if it's the most horrible thing in the world.

"You're colder than Khione," Leo said.

"You deserve to be here," Frank said.

"You're all alone, no one will ever love you, you have no one and never had anyone," Jason said.

"I can't believe I even tried to help you, your insufferable, you don't belong and you're to dark inside and you have no love that's why you can't give it or receive it because you have no heart, more like you have a heart but it's to cold and dark for anyone to hurt or heal," Hazel said.

Tears streamed down his face his heart was breaking he tried to ignore them and let their words bounce of the shield he kept around his heart but he no longer shielded his heart because he let his walls down when he realized his friends loved and accepted him for who he was. He let it down a little when Jason didn't judge him when he found out, a little more when he told Percy how he felt and Annabeth didn't judge him Percy was just confused, and when all his friends accepted him, and when Will became his boyfriend he let all his walls down. He was willing to risk it because he knew none of his friends would ever hurt him especially not Will. That's what he was focusing on to get his mind of the words they said but he felt like he was suffocating as they came closer he was literally withering because of their words. He looked to the right and he saw a strip of light he started crawling towards it his hands and arms bleeding as he pulled himself along. They made the circle a little wider as if they wanted him to reach it, his clothes was in tatters by the time he reached it. But by then it was gone and in its place was Will. He's never been happier than he was right now until Will looked down at him and scowled. (an expression Nico never seen on Will)

"Why are you here? I said go I don't want you anymore! I don't love you and never have!" Will yelled as he glared down at him. 

All his friends circled him and glared at him then they changed shape into hideous monsters with bat wings and claws and at the same time attacked him. He managed to get on his feet and unsheathed his sword and smack a few of them with the flat of his blade he didn't want to hurt them because he remembered they were once his friends. They clawed and bite him until he was back on the ground using his hands for protection. "You should be dead," they whispered. The one that used to be Will (he knew that it was Will because he had a golden glow around the monster) lunged at him. Nico thrashed in his bed trying to get whatever was on him off.

"Nico! It's me, Will! Calm down!"

Nico stopped fighting and opened his eyes, "Will?" His voice sounded hoarse.

"Yes, sunshine it's me, you were having a nightmare," Will said as he pulled Nico into his arms. Nico buried his face in Will's shirt and wrapped his arms tight around Will's waist. He was crying as he told Will his dream while Will rubbed circles on his back and kissed the top of his head from time to time. When he was done Will pulled away so he could meet Nico's eyes.

"You know that will never happen because I love you and I will never leave you."

"I know but-"

"And you know all our friends love and accept you and they will never hurt you because they love you and they care about you."

Nico nodded but then the words from his dream came rushing back to him and he began crying again. Will pulled Nico closer so he was basically laying on top of him, he rubbed his back, brushed his hands through Nico's hair, and whispered things like, "It's going to be ok", "I love you, don't ever forget that", "You're loved by me and many more" and most important of all "I'm here for you, whenever you need me and even when you don't". That made Nico laugh, Will smiled, "Gods of Olympus, I love it when you laugh." 

Nico yawned and smiled, "I love you, Will," he said before kissing Will. When they broke apart Will said, "I love you too, Nico."

 Nico placed his head in the crook of Will's neck and closed his eyes. He was just on the edge of unconscious when he heard Will say, "Goodnight, my piccolo soldato," and kiss his forehead, Nico smiled before letting himself fall into unconsciousness.
