THIS IS FOR ALL MY FELLOW SUFFERERS!!!

When Nico didn't see Will during Thursday evening, but after hanging out with him all day, he thought nothing of it. But when he didn't see him all day Friday, and he still wasn't back by dinner, he grew worried.

"Kayla, have you seen Will?"

"Huh? Oh, he's fine. Don't worry about it."

Nico frowned, but nodded, pushing open the door, and gloomily walking out of the infirmary's back room. He slipped out of the bustling infirmary, and stormed his way to his cabin.

When Will still wasn't back Saturday night, Nico was officially nervous. Kayla had already kicked him out of the infirmary, Chiron had brushed his worry off, and Lou Ellen and Cecil were either avoiding him, or just not around.

Nico stayed in his cabin Sunday, ignoring Percy, who'd walked in to try and drag him to breakfast that morning. So when the door creaked open around noon, he didn't even bother to twist around. Why would he? He'd just get tangled in his comforter. His door locked shut, before quiet, sock covered feet padded over to him, his bed dipping, and a hand landed on his shoulder. He furrowed his brow, turning his head to see gold hair, and bright blue eyes, which shone even in the dark of is cabin.

"Will," He breathed, and the blond smiled.

"Hey, Sunshine," Will murmured, laying down as Nico scooted closer to the wall, as to make room. He didn't bother turning around, Will lying on top of the covers as he spooned the smaller boy, arm lazilly tossed over the younger boy's waist.

"Where were you? Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?" Nico's voice came out muffled, clearly upset.

There was a pause. "I was visiting my mom."

Nico turned slightly at this. "What?"

Will shrugged, snuggling closer as Nico turned back around. "Visiting family."

Nico frowned, but let it go. If Will didn't want to tell him, then fine. Will held his boyfriend of a year (and a half!) closer, burying his nose in his dark-chocolate and pomegranate smelling hair.

The next morning, Will wasn't at breakfast. But he was at all his other normal activities, so Nico wasn't too worried. That is, until he saw how sluggish Will was after lunch - which Will hadn't been at either.

"Are you not eating? Why are you tiring so quickly?" Nico fired off questions at the blond as soon as Will took a break, the blond yanking off his sweat soaked shirt after putting down his bow beside the bench. "Are you not- uh," Nico lost his trail of thought, swallowing thickly as his eyes followed after a droplet of sweat, which glided down the tan, chiseled chest of Will Solace, sliding smoothly down the middle of his six pack, and behind the button of his jeans - which Nico really wanted off at the moment.

"What was that, Sunshine?"

Oh sweet Jesus, Nico thought. That smirk needs to be illegal. The raven-haired boy shook his head, train of thought long gone. "Hmm? What?"

Will chuckled, running a hand through his sweat damp hair, causing his pectorals and biceps to contract, and Nico was lost again. Will let out a laugh, and Nico jolted back to reality, face slightly more flushed then before. Will reached out, sliding his fingers under Nico's belt loops, and tugging him closer by his hips. Nico rested his hands on Will's bare shoulders, as he stood between his legs. Uncaring of the people around them, Will tugged Nico down into a kiss, hands sliding into the eighteen year old's black hair. Nico sighed, melting into his boyfriend, tongues sliding against each other as they slid into the other's mouth.

Nico pulled back, a confused look on his face. "What was that?"

"What was what?" Will asked, breathing heavier than normal.

Nico straightened, licking his lips. "Cinnamon? Apple for sure. Nuts? And something else. . ."

Will's eyes widened, and he laughed nervously. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Nico frowned. "You're a horrible liar."

"I know," Will grumbled, standing up. "I got to go to the infirmary. I'll see you later, OK?"

Nico nodded, Will leaning down to press a quick peck on his lips, before grabbing his shirt and bow, and heading towards the infirmary. Nico licked his lips again, thinking to himself, "and was that. . . wine?" Who knows what it is?!

When Will didn't come to dinner, Nico stormed into the back hallway of the infirmary, and into Will's office. He slammed the door open, and stood in the way of it, arms crossed. Only to see Will slowly put down a flat, strange looking cracker, with a purple blob on top, onto a golden plate that he'd probably taken from the dining pavilion.

"What's that?" Nico asked, confusion replacing the anger.

Will swallowed. "This is matzah, and what's on it is what you tasted earlier. It's called charoset, and it's apples, red wine or grape juice, cinnamon, and walnuts. Some people put fruit, but I prefer the original kind."

"Why?"

Will took another breath. "Nico, I'm Jewish."

Nico paled, and he took a step back, hands flying up. "What!?"

Will swallowed. He hadn't thought about how he'd react. He'd forgotten Nico had grown up close to WWII. But he inhaled, and said "I'm Jewish" louder, and Nico flew forwards, hands flailing as if to cover his mouth.

"Shh, shush! Do you want them to hear you? Will, I can't- if you die," He began to speak in Italian, a panicked look crossing his face.

Will gently grabbed Nico's wrists, bringing them down. "Nico, it's fine. No one's going to hurt me. I just don't like explaining to everyone what this stuff is."

Nico looked up at him in confusion. "So, the Germans can't hurt you?"

"Neeks, it's the twenty-first century. That's long been over."

Nico's face took on a relieved expression, and then one of embarrassment. "Oh. Sorry."

Will smiled, shaking his head. "It's OK. I'll tell you where I was."

"So, you were at seders?" Nico asked, sitting across from Will, who had finished eating. Nico had tried a couple things; he liked the charoset, wasn't so sure about the chopped liver, and decided he like the matzah a lot - to which Will replied "Yeah, until you have to live on it for eight days", which Nico immediately declined trying.

"Yep. And I saw lots of my family. It was really fun actually."

Nico nodded, frowning slightly. "Could, could I come next year? Maybe?"

Will looked surprised, before a huge smile bloomed on his face. "Really?!"

"Yeah! I mean, I've always wanted to meet your mom, and maybe you could teach me about being Jewish!" Nico grinned, and Will beamed at him.

"Of course! OK, so, what do you want to know?"

Will spent the rest of the afternoon being drilled about holidays, traditions, and even WWII, but he didn't care, because his boyfriend finally knew who he was, and not only didn't care, but wanted to know more.

Sorry for the sucky ending 😂

(BREIF) EXPLANATION OF THE HOLIDAY BELOW:

So, let me explain Will's energy. Basically, I live on carbs, and bread, and because I can't have it right now, I'm exhausted and low on energy - that's why Will's sluggish. (Tho, I guess matzah's carbs, but *starts wailing* it's not the same!!!!!!!!)

For all you goys (non-Jews) out there, Passover is a Jewish holiday, and at a seder ( a dinner where a lot of family and friends (like, 15 people minimum for us, lol) gather together). My family celebrates it on two nights (Friday and Saturday night), because in Israel, it's on a different night then in America, so we do both [which is why Will was gone for so long - he left Thursday evening so he could help get ready, and then started Friday evening, and had another seder Saturday night, and then he came back Sunday].

The seder tell the story of when the Jews were slaves in Egypt, and Moses (a (Jewish) prophet) had enough of it. He demanded the Pharaoh to let the Jews - who were called "Hebrews" at the time - go, but when he said "no", G-d sent curses (plagues) of increasing damage everytime the Pharaoh said no (but not at the Hebrews). After 10 plagues, it got to the point where the first born sons were killed, including Pharaoh's. The Hebrews painted their doors with lamb's blood, and the Angel of Death passed over those houses - hence the name "Pass-over". The Pharaoh finally gave in, and agreed. The Hebrews rushed to get everything together, for they knew the Pharaoh would probably change his mind, and because of this, their bread did not have time to rise, and so we are now stuck eating a cracker-like thing called matzah. Yay. We can't eat anything that contains wheat/yeast. *sobbing* NO BREAD

(Btw, Pharaoh did change his mind, but the Hebrews escaped. The Pharaoh's army all died though - but not the Pharaoh, cause I mean, someone had to live to tell the tale).

Happy Passover! Good luck! *sobbing harder*

(Matza+charoset above ^)
