Valentine's Day

I know, I know. It's two (or is it three?) days after, but leave me be! I had a paper to write *pouts*

Nico stared at the blond (fairyaverage) with a look of disgust.
"No."
Will blinked, "What?" He stuttered, standing from where he'd been sitting on the bed in Cabin 13, with his boyfriend.
"I'm not celebrating a day about Cupid!" Nico snapped, also standing - though it didn't do much good, he was still shorter than Will by a good six inches. Will fell quiet, finally understanding why Nico had rejected him.

Nico had told his boyfriend everything about Tartarus, and his quest - including the part about Cupid. Will was thankful for that, because for moments like these, he understood Nico's problem with it.

"So," Will started, biting his lip nervously, because even though he understood, it still hurt being turned down. "So, you said no, because it's valentine's day, right? Not, not becau-"
"Oh gods!" Nico interrupted, eyes wide. "Oh, Will, I mean, that's the reason, but I'm so sorry! I wasn't thinking when I said that, and-"
Nico too was interrupted, but by lips pressed against his own, cutting off his rambling. Nico let out a laugh, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend's neck, smiling into the kiss. He pulled away, put pulled Will close in a warm hug. Will kept his arms wrapped around Nico's slim waist, burying his face into Nico's hair, the scent of pomegranates and dark chocolate filling his senses.
"OK."
"OK?" Will repeated, pulling back to look at the younger demigod.
Nico nodded, "I'll go on a date with you, but only for you! Not because of Cupid."
Will grinned, nodding happily. "Tonight, OK? Dress warmly."
Nico shot the blond a confused look, but agreed. Will walked to the door, and Nico followed, showing his boyfriend out. Will pecked his lips, making him blush, before bouncing down the stairs. Nico shook his head, looking after the blond with a small smile. What on Gaea was he planning?

Nico looked at Will warily. The raven haired boy was wearing black skinny jeans, and a sweatshirt, the blond wearing something similar, but regular blue jeans, and a yellow hoodie, instead of the black Nico was snuggled in.
Will gently took Nico's cold hand in his warm one, and gently tugged him deeper into the cabin, which confused Nico more. But he wouldn't be confused long.
"How do you get on the roof? I know you can." Will grinned, and Nico smiled, pointing to a doorway. Nico lead the way, walking up the winding stars to the top off the high ceiling, joking around with Will.
"Stop staring at my butt." He smirked, and Will laughed. Nico yelped, scrambling up quicker as Will swatted at him.
"Sorry Sunshine," Will winked, "I can't help it. You look amazing in skinny jeans." Nico blushed as his tease backfired.

Once outside on the flat roof of the Hades Cabin, Nico couldn't help but let a small smile slip onto his face. It was gorgeous outside. The air was cool, but warm enough for only a sweatshirt, and the sun was gently sinking past the horizon.
Will smiled, and suddenly he had a blanket in his hands. Nico raised an eyebrow, but Will only grinned, unrolling it. Nico sat down, sitting with one knee at his chin, the other leg stretched out in front of him, as he leaned back on his hands.

Will disappeared down the ladder, and then the stairs, before reappearing with a picnic basket, more blankets, and some pillows. Nico grinned, and Will set down the basket, before tossing Nico a warm blanket, and sitting cross legged. Nico splayed the blanket over himself, grabbing a pillow, and opening the basket.

"Thank you." Nico spoke quietly, looking up at Will through thick black eyelashes. Will beamed at him, his golden hair and freckles literally glowing in the fading light. Soon, Apollo's sun chariot had disappeared, his sister Artemis chasing him out of the sky.
Nico looked up, smiling gently at the stars, and thinking of a certain hunter of Artemis.
"What are you thinking about Sunshine?"
"Not what, who." Nico murmured, tracing the said girl's constellation with his eyes. Percy had told him everything that happened, and the older boy had been astonished to learn Nico had not only felt the death, but had noticed the new constellation immediately. Will's face clouded, and he spoke tersely.
"Who?"
Nico looked over at him with a sad smile. "Zoё Nightshade."
Will blinked, face coloring lightly at his mistake. Nico gave a gently chuckle, pulling the blanket tighter around him, and grabbing a sandwich from the picnic basket.
The two of them joked and laughed late into the night, before laying on their backs, hands intertwined between them. The had moved the picnic basket closer to the stairs leading back into the cabin, and were covered in blankets - though the extra layers weren't needed, Will being a space heater.

"It's beautiful Will." Nico said, looking up at the twinkling night sky, eyes roaming the constellations Bianca had taught him years before.
"Yeah, beautiful." Will murmured, but when he felt Will's breath curl gently over his ear, he turned his head, to see Will already looking at him. He flushed as he realized what Will meant, and snuggled deeper into his boyfriend's side, mumbling a "Thank you."
Will grinned, wrapping his arm around the smaller boy, kissing his forehead.

"Happy valentine's day. I love you."
"Happy valentine's day." Nico grumbled reluctantly. "And I love you too."
Will beamed, placing a kiss to Nico's lips, immediately warming up the pale boy. They pulled away, and continued star gazing and talking about random things, until they fell asleep, legs tangled, chests pressed against each other, their fingers laced.
