Three Days pt. 2
As requested: Three Days, pt. 2!
I sighed, staring at the ceiling of my cabin. It'd been a month since I was released from the infirmary, and Will and I had gotten really close. I was still confused on what Will meant when he said he liked me. Did he mean like a friend? Or something more? I didn't know, and I didn't want to be hurt again, and last week, I realized I was falling for him. And falling hard. I couldn't have a repeat of what happened with Percy. So I distanced myself.
It'd been a week since I had talked to, much less gone within five feet of Will Solace. And I was falling apart. Both mentally, and physically. I pushed myself too hard in training, and ate to little. Closing my eyes, I willed the lightheadedness away, gritting my teeth. It didn't help. The mix of overworking, and under eating was taking its toll.
There was a hesitant knock, and I let out a groan, the headache throbbing more violently at the noise. The door opened, and I whimpered, the light from outside making my head throb.
"Nico?"
I flinched. The last person I wanted to see. Will Solace himself.
The door closed, and I heard the soft click of the automatic lock. Speaking of which, how did he get in? He didn't have a key. The sharp clatter of something being dropped onto the table near the door sent sparks off behind my eyelids, but I managed to catch a glimpse of Stygian iron, the only way to enter the cabin - and it's in the underworld itself. Hazel must of given it to him.
I didn't realize I'd shrieked, until I felt warm hands on my face, and saw Will's worried face hovering over me.
"Nico, what- Oh." His voice immediately lowered with the last word, his fingers running lightly over my temple, causing me to shiver, as Will got my 'diagnosis'.
"Migraine?"
I nodded, eyes still closed, head pounding. Will let out a quiet hum, and climbed over me, to lay on his side, back against the wall. He pulled me to him, gently turning me onto my side, and pulling me into his chest. I was under the covers, while he lay on top of them, but that didn't stop me from being tense. Will ran one hand through my hair soothingly, his other propping up his head. I gripped his shirt, the waves of pain rolling through my head, and bumping into things like pin-balls.
Will hummed a hyme, and the pain lessened enough for me to sleep.
When I woke up, I was encased in warmth. Confused, I shifted, only to find my way barred. Something heavy and warm was flung over the dip of my waist, and another was under my head. I blinked, my vision fuzzy with yellow, and I shifted my head back just enough to see what was going on. When I did, my face felt like it was on fire, which meant it was bright red.
Will Solace was asleep, and I was wrapped in his arms.
I squirmed, embarrassed though he was asleep. I tried escaping his grasp, but I only managed to turn over onto my other side, before Will mumbled something incoherent, and pulled me back into his chest, so we were spooning. That didn't help my blush, causing the tips of my ears turned red too.
Will's arm stayed tightly around my waist, his other under the pillow his head was on. I sighed, but Will was warm, and I was still tired. I realized he's not under the blankets, but he probably doesn't need them. I snuggled back into him, resting my head on my pillow, curled under the blankets and tried to steal Will's warmth.
The next time I awoke, I was cold. I blinked blurrily, and realized that Will wasn't next to me. I sighed, not really surprised. But then why do I feel like I was ditched after a one night stand?
I shivered at the thought, turning onto my other side, to see the kitchen light was on. I frowned, knowing it wasn't on last time I checked.
There was a crash from said kitchen, and I jumped out of bed, only to fall back onto my butt with a gasp. Headrush. Someone began swearing in Greek, sounding much like my vocabulary, and I smiled lightly at the thought of how bad of an influence I'd been on a certain blonde.
Speaking of the blonde, he appeared in the kitchen door frame, a light blush dancing on his cheeks, the corner of his mouth dimpled from smiling shyly.
"Did I wake you?"
I shook my head, successfully standing up, and walking to him. I felt his gaze wander, and realized I was only wearing sweatpants, that rode low on my hips showing the elastic of my boxers. It was my turn to blush, crossing my arms self consciously, the scars standing out on my skin, which had gotten some of its Italian tan back, from being forced to be in the sun.
Will smirked lightly, before walking to me. I gulped, looking up at him from under my dark fringe, vision slightly blocked by thick black strands.
"Want something to drink? I made tea."
I made a face, before giving him a small smile. "Of course you drink tea." I teased, and Will stuck out his tongue. "I, myself," I motioned over exaggeratedly to myself, "am more of a coffee drinker."
"Of course you drink coffee." Will mimicked, grinning brightly. I gave a chuckle, reveling in the happiness I got from Will at the sound. I sauntered into the kitchen, standing on tiptoes to reach the coffee beans. I gripped the counter under me for balance, as I went on one foot. I gasped, when warm hands gripped my sides, pulling me back to the flats of me feet, and easily reached over me with one arm, grabbing the coffee. I scowled, snatching the coffee back from a smirking son of Apollo, and grabbing the coffee grinder. I grumbled to myself in Italian, as Will laughed, leaning against the kitchen island, with his tea in his hands.
"Hey," He said, and I turned on the grinder as a reply, smirking to myself. I released the button, as as soon as it was quiet, Will talked again; "Why-" I cut him off by turning the grinder back on, this time letting out a short laugh at the playfully annoyed look on Will's face.
I turned off the grinder for real, unplugging it. I took the cap off, grabbing the filter, and placing it in the coffee maker. I poured in the grains, and then the water, placing the pitcher under it, before turning around, leaning against the counter behind me, as I smirked at Will.
"Sorry Sunshine, did you say something?"
Will scowled rolling his eyes. "Yeah, actually. Why do you get a kitchen?" His voice turned whiny, and I couldn't hold in the laugh. Will's eyes lit up, and I gave him a small smile.
"All the big three cabins have kitchens and bathrooms, as well as locks on the doors. Speaking of which, remind me to tell Hazel not to give out Stygian iron to people." I narrowed my eyes, as Will laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.
As I waited for my coffee, I brushed my teeth, ignoring Will's jab that I'd have to brush them again after I drank the coffee, and tossed him a new toothbrush. He grinned, and brushed his teeth, before going back to his tea, and I grabbed my coffee, pouring it into my mug, and taking a sip. Will looked at me disgusted.
"Not even sugar?"
I shook my head, taking another sip to stifle my laughter. Will finished before I did, and we just stayed in the kitchen. I was feeling better, and once I'd finished my coffee, I was also more awake.
I looked at Will warily, realizing his gaze was wandering just above my waist, focusing on my v-line, and the prominent six-pack. When he realized I was looking at him, his gaze jerked back to my face, but aside from the light blush, he didn't seem bothered. I looked at him oddly, and he shrugged.
"What?" He said defensively, "I can look! You're not wearing a shirt, so,"
I blinked, feeling the blush creep up my cheeks, and the tips of my ears turn bright red. He laughed softly, cupping my flaming cheek.
"Uh, Will?" I mumbled, as he leaned close enough for me to see the specks of a darker blue swirling in his clear blue eyes.
"Nico." He said my name like a sigh, and it sent shivers through me.
"What, what are you doing?" I managed, practically going cross eyed to still see him, his nose brushing mine.
"What would you do if I kissed you?" He asked so quietly, I almost didn't think he'd actually said anything, my heart nearly jumping out of my chest. I never got a chance to respond - not that I'd know what to say - his lips pressing gently against mine, the taste of mint tea invading my senses.
My eyes widened, before sliding shut, just like Will's were. I kissed back, wrapping my arms around Will's neck. His slipped around my bare waist, one hand on my lower back pulling me closer, warm against my skin, the other in between my shoulder blades, supporting me as the kiss intensified. Will ran his tongue against my lips, and I gasped, his tongue sliding into my mouth. I groaned quietly, and Will's mouth moved faster, pulling me closer, until our chests were pressed up against each other. I was on tiptoes, trying to balance. Will's hand slid down, and I gasped as he rested it on my butt.
"Will," I breathed against his lips, not realizing we'd moved into the main room until the back of my knees hit my bed. I fell backwards, lying at an angle on the bed, Will standing next to me, eyes full of lust. He ran his gaze over my form, my chest heaving for air.
"You taste like coffee." He broke the silence, and I laughed.
"That's all you have to say?" I inquire, propping myself up on one arm. He grinned, eyes twinkling as he climbed on top of me, hovering in a plank, though he rested his knees next to mine, his arms sliding under my back to prop me up.
I grabbed his face, and kissed him passionately, picking up from where we left off. He gave a breathy laugh, before moaning as I gave a tug on his blonde curls. I pulled away, raising an eyebrow at his, unfairly beautiful, sound. He blushed, before pressing his lips back to mine, nipping at my lip, causing a sound from deep in my throat to escape, and I turned red. But Will only whimpered at the noise, a hand sliding down to my hip, the other gripping the back of my neck.
Finally, I ran out of breath, and had to pull away. Will's lips trailed down my jaw, and made it to my collarbone before I pushed him gently away, but kept my hands on his bare chest. Wait, when did he take his shirt off? I shook my head to clear it, letting my other hand slide out from under his curls, and rest against his jaw.
"Why?" I asked quietly, blushing.
Will blinked. "Why? Because, because I wanted to, because you're irresistible, especially without a shirt." Will rolled off of me, lying on his side next to me, keeping one arm around my waist. "Because I like you. Just like I said in the infirmary."
I blushed, feeling his hand trace my abs. "I like you too. And, in the infirmary, I didn't know what you meant. I wasn't sure, and it scared me." I whispered, turning onto my side to face him, forcing his hand to slide around to my back. He pulled me closer, and I pressed my lips to his, though it was difficult to kiss him when we're both smiling.
"I know," I said laughing gently as we pulled away. "Someone afraid of you?!" Will let out a shout of defiance, and I smiled. "But it wasn't you I was afraid of. It was rejection."
I rested my head against his chest, splaying my fingers against his pecs.
"Well, you didn't have to be afraid of me. And anyways, aren't you glad Hazel gave me a key?"
I fake glared at him, lightly slapping his arm. "No."
He pouted, running a hand through my hair, and pulling me into another kiss, before pulling away. "What about now?"
"Hmm," I teased, "I don't know, I think I need a little more convincing. . ."
Will chuckled, and pressed his lips back to mine, shoving me back onto my back. I laughed, twining my hands back into his hair.
