Love? (Part Two)
Warning: This chapter deals with domestic abuse and eating disorders.
"I do." Will beamed across to his now husband.
The honeymoon was in Madrid, Spain. Will couldn't have felt happier, walking the streets, holding his husband's hand tightly.
There were lights strung up everywhere, booths lined the streets. At one they ordered some hot wine, at another they got churros and chocolate. There were street performers at every corner, people talking loudly in other languages, but it didn't make him uncomfortable, it just made him feel more in tune with the voice of his husband, with his words, as there were no other words to interfere.

"Who the hell is Paulo?" The voice shook Will from his sleep.
"He's the friend I met at the library I told you about." Will made his voice soft, trying to sooth the man standing in front of him.
"You aren't allowed to text him anymore. I don't want to lose you, if you love me, you'll understand." He had turned sad, making Will's insides turn with guilt.
"Of course I love you, baby, I promise I won't, I'll block his number right now." Will stood up to grab his phone and do it, but dizziness washed over him and all he could see was black. 'When was the last time I ate anything?' He tried to figure out, knowing that was the cause of most of his dizzy spells.

"Oh! You're home early." Will noted, walking through the front door.
"Where were you? I don't like it when you're not here when I get home, you make me worry about you." He had a look of concern plastered on his face, but his eyes were dull.
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
"With my new promotion, I don't know when I'll be getting off, and I have longer breaks so I can come and see you sometimes. Maybe it's best if you leave the errands and stuff to me? I don't want you to have to take care of too much, and I really don't like the thought of you going out by yourself."
Will couldn't believe he was serious. "There's no way I'm staying in this house all day. You have no right to treat me like some sort of prisoner, nor will I abide to this." His voice had gotten louder and louder, he walked closer and closer.
A sharp pain shot through his face, causing Will to stumble backward and hitting his hip on the corner of the counter. "Don't ever speak to me like that again, got it?" A low growl escaped from his husband, but Will was just standing there in shock, clutching his face. "I am not above installing a lock on the outside of the door if it means I can go to work without having to worry about whether or not you are safe. Please." His voice cracked with sadness. "I couldn't stand it if I lost you.
"If you pick me up books when I ask, or bring me coffee from the cafe I like, I will stay home." Will could feel his resolve shattering, even though it left him feeling empty.
His husband wrapped his arms gingerly around his tiny frame and began peppering kisses softly where a bruise was already forming on his cheekbone. "Thank you, my love."

Will walked circles around the house, his chest feeling constricted, heart pounding. It was so cold outside, the deck door was frozen shut. He could usually get by with spending an hour outside with a book, or cup of tea every day. Just that small time with fresh air and sunshine to help him not feel so restless.
If he did one more lap around the kitchen, his mind would explode. It wouldn't hurt to run a few flights of stairs, would it? He wouldn't be leaving the complex, so it should be fine. His husband didn't even have to know.
Before he lost his confidence or changed his mind, Will stepped out of the door. The dark haired man down the hall waved as he came closer, and after scanning the halls, Will walked towards him as well. "Hey, I'm your new neighbour, I moved in last month but I haven't seen you around before."
"I don't get out much, I'm Will." He reached his hand out to shake, having already given his name against his better judgment. He saw the man's eyes linger on the bruises on his arms, before snapping back up to Will's bright blue eyes. Will felt self-conscious of the fact that he bruised so easily. Only one had been from his husband, but it wasn't his fault, he was just drunk and Will had burnt supper.
"Nico."
"Anyways, I'd getter get back, my husband will be home soon." He felt anxious, needed to retreat back into the safety of the apartment.

They had made a habit of 'accidentally' meeting outside Will's door every day for the past month.
"Is everything alright with you and your husband?"
Will saw the question coming a long time ago. He was pretty sure the people down in the streets could hear whenever he was getting yelled at. He nodded. "He has a temper sometimes, but who can blame him? He is under so much stress with his job. If you saw his softer side, you would understand how great he is, I'm just sorry you have to listen to that." Will laughed it off, but the concern never left Nico's eyes.
Will changed the subject.

Will was terrified when his husband walked through the door, shaking with anger. "Why the fuck did the guy down the hall tell me to say 'hi' to you?" He shoved Will against the wall roughly, yelling. "Are you sleeping with him?"
"No!" Will cowered behind his arms, trying to slide down on the floor, but his husband held him up by his neck. "I-I wouldn't d-do th-that to you." He choked out, gasping for breath.
"How could you do this? I have given you everything, and you go and act like a little slut." He brought his knee up swiftly, and there was a blinding pain in Will's abdomen, making it even harder to breath.
"I'm sorry!" Will repeated over and over again, but he was just pushed onto the floor. He screamed out in pain when he felt his arm snap on impact. He felt a foot on his fingers, grinding them into the tile, feeling them shatter. "I'm sorry." He whispered, laying on the ground motionless, ready to accept his punishment. It wasn't long until his surroundings went dark.

Light blinded him, and his throat was achingly dry. "Water." Will croaked out, barely a whisper.

"Will?" A voice said softly from beside him. "Will, wake up, please." A desperate voice pleaded. He opened his eyes slowly.
"What happened? Where am I?" His surroundings completely disorientated him. His head ached.
"You're in the hospital. You weren't answering your door, and I was really worried so I called the cops.I found you on the floor, bleeding and unconscious." Nico reached for his hand, but he recoiled, moaning out in pain.
"Where's my husband?"
"The cops found him in a bar and arrested him for assault."
"No! They can't do that!" Will screamed out, trying to get out of bed, pulling at the cords connecting him to the monitor. "I have to see him." Wil begged, tears streaming down his face.
"He assualted you, Will. He could have killed you."
"He loves me!" The scream of frustration sent several nurses into his room, and one administered a sedative.
"No, he doesn't. If he loved you, you wouldn't be in the hospital right now.."
"You had no right barging in and ruining my life like that. Will accused with a cold stare. "I love him."
Nico just stared at him in disbelief.
"Get. Out." Will spat, with every last bit of energy he had left before the sedative took over.
(A/N: So unfortunately, Will doesn't get a happy ending in this oneshot because that is the devastating reality of most cases of domestic abuse. The victim is in love with the abuser, so they don't press charges, and the abuser knows exactly how to manipulate their victim. If you or anyone you know is in a situation, I urge you to seek help, because this is not what love looks like, and you deserve better. On a side note, sorry this took so long, I've been drowning in homework. But, I have written a oneshot with Fall_Out_Girl_16 that I'm really excited to share with you guys soon that is hopefully as equallly heartbreaking, and now that I've finished this one I can start working on all the requests from a previous post. Please vote and give feedback! I appreciate all you guys so much!)
