"Block! Strike!" Nico called out to Will just as he hit where his neck was seconds before.

They spared a few more minutes with Nico yelling out when to block and strike, before Nico caught Will with the edge of his sword to his neck.

Will laughed, "I'm getting closer! Soon I will beat you," he said the last part, smirking.

Nico gave him a sly smile," Will see about that Sunshine."

Will laughed and checked the time. "Crap! My shift starts in 2 minutes!" He said running to the infirmary tripping over boxes on his way out.

Nico laughed and called after him, " Don't be late!"

With that Nico started practicing on a dummy.

He started to think some more, even though he was practicing to clear his head. What if Will overuses his powers again? What if Kayla and Austin don't catch him overworking?

Now you might be thinking, didn't Will say to stop by the infirmary so he could see a friendly face a few weeks ago? Yes, yes he did. Nico tried to stop by but he didn't seem to find the time. Or maybe he just has been avoiding it for a very specific reason or person.

Nico seemed to have inhabited feelings for the blonde.But this felt different than Percy.

When he looked at Will he felt funny on the inside, but a good kind of funny. Like tickling through his spine.

He kept on beating the dummies. One after another. Trying to shake his mind away from the stupid Apollo boy, with that luscious blond hair-nope definitely not what he meant, not at all.

He didn't know how long he was sparring when he heard someone call his name.

He turned to the door to see Jason Grace waving and starting to say something that Nico couldn't catch. As his surroundings started to blur together making the world spin, the last image he saw was the son of Jupiter running towards him with severe worry in his face.

Jason had been talking to Piper on the way back from dinner when he saw movement in the arena. Earlier he had noticed Nico hadn't been at dinner and Will seemed worried out of his mind but had another Infirmary shift.

So, he went to the arena to see Nico hacking at an already shredded dummy with the shadows looking as if they were attacking him. He tried calling his name.

Nico looked at him and started to collapse.

Jason sprinted forward muttering, "Gods', you idiot Nico, I swear you would die from overworking your almost as bad as Will."

He got to Nico and scooped him up bridal style, and started for the infirmary, God's, Will was not going to be happy.

Jason carried Nico to the door of the infirmary. He didn't even have to knock, Will was at the door and carrying Nico to a cot, muttering under his breath.

Jason stood right by the door not knowing where else to be. The infirmary was not his home turf.

He waited for a good 5 minutes before Will's sister Kayla came over and said," You might want to go check on Nico Will needed a cooler."

Jason nodded in response trying to figure out what happened to Nico and Will.

He walked over to where Will had carried Nico and sat in the visitor chair next to him.

The infirmary was quite empty with only one kid sleeping that looked like, like Will!

He was going to go check on him but Nico started to stir.

Nico blinked awake with alertness as if he were on the battlefield.

Jason tried to calm him down," Nico, you're in the infirmary! You passed out when practicing."

Nico blinked as the memories came to him and sat up.

Jason almost reached forward but didn't, " You sure you should be sitting up right now."

Nico ignored him and looked across the room where Will had fallen asleep on a cot.

Nico looked pissed as he got up and crossed the room.

Jason didn't see the point in trying to stop Nico but tried anyway," You sure you don't want to lay down?"

Nico once again ignored him and grabbed his wrist.

After a moment he groaned and said," Grace go grab the sun light the round thing on the counter." Nico said the last part as an afterthought as if he wouldn't know what a sun light is (he didn't realize the infirmary was not his specialty).

Jason did as he was told without complaining as Nico seemed to know what he was doing.

After setting up the light he let it shine on will for a few minutes.

Jason was in shock," How did you know how to do all that?"

Nico rolled his eyes and said, "When you know a healer who likes to overwork himself you pick up how to make sure he doesn't kill himself from work."

Sounds like someone I know Jason almost said but decided to focus on Nico, his tone had sounded almost endearing. Jason knew about Nico's old crush on Percy, but he had resolved that, was it possible that Nico could be like the son of Apollo. No, his brain told him there were poor opportunities that couldn't be. But Will did take care of him in the infirmary after the second war. Maybe he would let fate play its course, maybe.

Will knew he probably put a little too much power into helping Nico, but he started to fade, again! So he was a little worried. Maybe more than a little.

His last memory before he passed out was Kyala telling him he needed to go to the cabin and sleep.

Apparently all that his mind heard was sleep because he woke up on an infirmary cot with Nico and the son of Jupiter talking to the side.

Nico noticed he woke up and started scowling, here it came.

"William Andrew Solace! What were you thinking pulling all that power out of yourself, you stupid stupid~" The end of his thought was mumbled out as the son of Hades slapped him in the shoulder, " If you ever do that again I am raising a dead army to buy McDonald's and feed it to the whole camp for a week!"

Will chuckled and rubbed his shoulder," Okay, Okay," But Nico interrupted in a smaller voice than normal," I didn't hurt anyone right?"

Will gave him a reassuring smile and said," If you did hurt anyone it would have been Jason right here," Pulling Jason in the conversation.

Nico smirked looking at Jason, "Well maybe I could resurrect a few skeletons to chase him around."

Jason was probably going to make some petty comment in return Will blurted," No, absolutely not! To both of those ideas of yours."

Nico's smirk grew even bigger," I mean I don't think I could promise that unless you would like to make a deal by taking a day off?"

Will sighed and said," I can't go to the infirmary."

"Kayla is already forcing you to have a day off so you could either hang out with me so you can get some very much-needed sunshine or you could lay in an infirmary bed all day with the sun lamp," Nico said.

Will groaned in response and Nico knew his answer.

That was when Jason looking at the clock said," I gotta go, I would rather not get eaten by the harpies so bye!"

Nico and Will waved to the son of Jupiter as he left.

Nico then said, "Sleep now I will sleep on the other cot but you need sleep and sunlight so hurry up."

Will gave an amused smile to the sun of Hades and said," Sure Nico, Goodnight."

Nico made his way across the room and responded with," Goodnight Will."

Nico woke up to Will tapping him on the shoulder repeatedly.

As soon as he saw him he frowned, pulling the covers over his head.

Will chuckled," You don't want me to drag you to breakfast right?"

There was a very muffled reply from Nico under the covers along the lines of, go away.

Will sighed dramatically at him," I guess I have to do this the hard way."

Will started tickling him like a manic and he was laughing and squirming like a little kid.

He normally hated being touched but he has become quite close to Will in the past few weeks, and for some reason, he trusts him more than all his friends. It's a little strange now that he thought of it.

Will continued tickling him until he was wheezing and practically falling over the cot.

He stood up composing himself to glare at the son of Apollo," Meanie."

Will laughed and dragged him to the Apollo table. Will sat down on the left of him letting him take the edge of the bench.

Will loaded his own plate with scrambled eggs, cheese, fruit, and applesauce.

Nico tried to get away with just some toast but Will put a bunch of fruit on his plate.

Nico's eyes widen from the sheer amount of food. Will seemed to notice this because he leaned in and said," Just eat what you can. Okay?"

Nico nodded. His stomach could handle more food normally but he couldn't stomach too much food as why Will didn't give him more than just fruit.

Nico started eating some of his toast and listened to the conversation.

"Honestly, Jasmine is the best Disney princess!"

"No, it's Cinderella!!"

"You guys are forgetting about Snow White!"

Will looked as if he was going to have a migraine as a mini food fight started at the Apollo table.

"Can you just all shut up!" Will shouted out, rubbing his temples.

Everyone just sort of stared at him, including every other camper at breakfast.

Will seemed to realize what he did. He looked in shock and quickly got up and spirited away.

The chatter seemed to come back after a minute or so, but Kayla and Austin looked worried for their brother.

Nico quickly scraped the food he had barely touched into the fire praying to every god and goddess he could think of before setting off to find Will.

Jason was eating at Zeus's table when he heard," Can you just all shut up!"

He looked in shock at the owner of the voice. It was Will Solace, he was rubbing his temples, and before he knew it was running out of the pavilion.

The chatter started back up pretty quickly but Jason noticed Nico scraped his entire plate of food in the fire and ran off out of the pavilion.

After they both had left, Kayla and Austin took care of the situation. Austin distracted most of his younger siblings. While Kayla reassured a few of the campers who were either in shock or tears.

Jason was worried for the son of Apollo. He always had his cool on and was a great friend to Nico.

He was about to go check when Piper noticed from across the pavilion alerting Annabeth and Percy.

He groaned as he watched one by one as all his friends (and girlfriend) followed him out of the pavilion.

He wasn't alone in feeling shocked Percy started saying how they should go find him and make sure he hadn't hurt Nico.
Annabeth and Piper dragged them to Jason's cabin and plopped them on one of the beds.

He started to protest that they needed to protect Nico but Piper interrupted.

"You don't need to protect him! He is checking on his very best friend and if my senses are correct we shouldn't interfere, no matter how much we want to," She added the last part.

Annabeth nodded in agreement.

Percy looked as if he wanted to protest more and Annabeth caught this and added," Would asking Hestia make you feel better?"

Percy was blushing a little when he said," Yeah."

Annabeth rolled her eyes and they all followed her out of the Zeus cabin.

They walked to the hearth and spotted Hestia. She noticed them and smiled.

"How may I assist you?" She asked with a soft smile.

"Do you know if Nico's okay," Percy blurted out, unable to stop himself.

Hestia raised an eyebrow and said," He is perfectly fine. Will wouldn't hurt him. In fact, they are probably the closest friends at camp."

Percy looked relieved, "Thank you, Lady Hestia."

She smiled as they got up and said," Please no titles Percy, we're family."

Percy looked really flustered at that nodding.

Hestia gave them another warm smile as they walked off.

"So you guys are really sure he's okay?" Percy's voice cracked in the middle.

Jason gave him the kindest smile he could muster knowing what was going on," Yeah he's fine. And please remember to stop blaming yourself, Percy."

Annabeth looked at Percy knowingly signing and collapsed their hands together.

Percy smiled," Yeah, okay." Jason wasn't too sure that he didn't blame himself for everything.

That was one Jason realized Piper was being really quiet. "What's up Pipes?"

She looked a little concerned," I just feel a lot of strong emotion coming from the woods."

Annabeth also looked a little distressed but said," Will was upset so it is probably that. If they aren't back by dinner time then I will go find them."

They all nodded in agreement spreading off to their separate activities.

He went to Zues first looking for Will. That was where he normally went when he was upset.

He found Will on the top of the rock in a corner Nico almost missed.

He went to sit next to Will letting him unleash everything.

"I ruined everything. How could I do that? I am the worst head counselor," he then added in a quiet voice," What would Lee and Micheal think?"

He started rubbing Will's back and said," You are an amazing counselor, you love your siblings to the sun and back. You just snapped, you needed a break."

Will went back to crying but tried to stop and apologize," I'm sorry I- shouldn't-"\

Nico looked at him sternly saying," You deserved to be comforted and have a break, you work so hard and care so much. Let me help you."

Will leaned into the hug he was offering and sobbed into his shoulder for who knows how long.

When Will had stopped crying they laid down next to each other telling stupid stories.

"Then she jumped off the pegasus yelling," You owe me 1000 drachmas, Stoll!"

They were laughing until their stomachs hurt for hours.

Then they just layed there. Not talking, not anything, just enjoying each other's presence.

Nico noticed it started to get dark out when he sat up and told Will," You might want to talk to your siblings," He could see Will visibly tighten.

Will started," I know but-"

"Will, look at me," He waited until Will turned to look at him," They will forgive you. They know you put so much effort into your work and you always seem so happy, you were bound to crack at some point."

Will considered this and nodded adding," But do we have to leave now?"

Nico gave him a smile he hoped wasn't demented and said," I wouldn't want anything else."

They laid there until they saw only stars and pitch pitch-black sky before falling asleep.

Will woke up with a knot in his back.

The sky was bright pink as it woke up. He looked over at Nico who was still sleeping soundly.

God's, he hoped Nico didn't hate him for yesterday. He was awful, he needs to apologize to his siblings but maybe not just yet.

He lay on the rock until he heard Nico mumble In his sleep," But I love you."

Will was about to be shocked when he saw Nico start crying, silently silently in his sleep.

He quickly said up and tried to wake up Nico by gently shaking his shoulder.

"Nico, wake up, you're okay," he said in a worried voice to Nico.

Nico jolted away, making Will jump. Nico looked around for a second frightened but relaxed as he saw him.

Nico started to apologize but Will interrupted him," It's fine Nico you don't need to apologize for everything okay?"

Nico nodded looking away.

Will scooched a little closer wanting to give Nico space.

"Can you look at me, Nico?" He shook his head and Will tried again," Can please look at me, Nico?"

After a moment Nico looked up at him with glassy eyes, it broke Will's heart to see him so sad. It made him wonder if this was what Nico saw in him last night.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked him.

Nico shook his head so quickly that he was surprised it didn't come off.

Will smiled at him," What if we go get breakfast?"

Nico hesitated before saying in the same quiet voice Will had only heard so many times," I didn't hurt anyone right?"

"I promise you, Angel, you didn't," Will told him.

Will thought he saw Nico visibly relax but that could have just been his mind tricking him.

They got down from the rock and started walking back to camp. About 5 minutes into the walk Nico said with a frown," I shouldn't be getting comforted by you, I was supposed to do that."

Will laughed," How about we both can be comforted alright Angel?"

Nico turned red and mumbled," Fine."

Will's smile slowly faded as he tried to think about what to say to his siblings.

He needed to say he was sorry but how? Maybe he could take a few more shifts in the infirmary, or take over Arts and crafts.

Nico suddenly stopped him right before they got into view of the Camp. "Will, calm down, your siblings will forgive you, okay?"

Will tried to say something but failed settling for a nod.

They got in view of the hearth and the dining pavilion. Will saw Hestia smile at them, he thought he saw a glint in her eyes but shrugged it off.

They got to the dining Pavilion to be met with a very angry group of Demigods.

They were met by Percy, Jason, Piper, and Annabeth. Two of the 4 looked quite angry, the other two looked as if they wanted to say 'I told you so.'

"Where were you?" The son of Poseidon asked, looking more relieved than angry.

"I went after Will and we fell asleep talking," He said in all honesty.

Piper smirked a little," Just talking?"

Nico tried to keep his blush down, or at least away from Will.

Percy started dragging him along to get him some breakfast.

Stupid Piper and Annabeth wouldn't let Jason and Percy look for Nico, Piper said it was because, "he was having a moment" but what if he died? Jason wanted Nico to be happy but he needs to be safe to do that.

As soon as Percy pulled Nico away with Annabeth trailing behind Jason tried to talk to Will but he was already long gone.

He was about to go find him when Piper said," Jason Grace if you dare go interrupt and kidnap Will Solace I am going to murder you!"

Jason flushed looking down, when she put it that way it sounded bad. He just wants Nico to be safe.

Piper seemed to know this because she added," I know you care about Nico but you can hunt down Will later okay? Let him talk with his siblings. He has a lot on his plate."

He wanted to argue but he couldn't find any loophole to what she said.

Will went to find his siblings the second Nico walked away. He didn't have the time or patience to deal with the son of Jupiter at the moment, he would talk to him later.

He came to the Apollo cabin not completely sure how he was going to apologize.

He opened the door to see if anyone was inside. No one was, he checked the schedule, and arts and crafts were going on. But the Apollo cabin is never empty.

Will's thoughts started spiraling, what if they all just really hate him now and don't even want to risk him being with them? He is the worst camp counselor there has ever been and brother.

After spiraling more he went to the mirror to check how puffy his eyes were.

He went into the bathroom to wash his face and decided to go to the infirmary, he had an afternoon shift so he would be a little early.

He headed out of the neon cabin staring off to the infirmary.

Percy dragged Nico off, and she suspected he and Jason had planned something but followed him anyway.

Percy was rambling away about last night's campfire to Nico and he had seemed quite amused. She vaguely wondered if this was how she sounded when she talked about Architecture.

They sat down at the big three/poseidon table and grabbed some food.

They had just been heading to break the feast when they saw Will and Nico.

They had all gotten a little food while Percy still rambled on about how fun the campfire was and Nico needed to come to tonight's.

Nico seemed resistant but Percy said," The Apollo cabin is performing." That's what seemed to get him to go, but he would never admit that.

Will made his way to the infirmary walking past the pavilion only to remember, it was breakfast time.

He saw all his siblings sitting at the Apollo cabin table.

Kayla and Austin both looked exhausted, while all the younger kids were doing the average routine.

Kayla saw him and looked like she wanted to go get him but couldn't leave Austin on his own.

Will was a little hesitant but walked over.

As he came to the table Kayla got up and walked over to him, smacking him and then hugging him within the span of less than 10 seconds.

Kayla leaned in and whispered," If you ever pull a stunt like that William I swear to all Gods I will chain you in the basement and only let you eat applesauce for the rest of your life!"

He winced and started to apologize but Kayla cut him off, "Do you know how worried we were with you running off like that?!"

Kayla was drawing attention with her volume of voice making Will flush as he started," About that-"

She once more interrupted him, pulling him to the table and saying," Come on, the Flowers are going to be so happy."

Will smiled slightly while cringing at the nickname for their little siblings. Micheal came up with the idea when he was head consoler to call everyone 3 years or young sunflowers or flowers.

As he got to the table his youngest sibling ran to him hugging his legs. It was Kat who was the newest and youngest addition to the Apollo cabin at 6 years old and 4'3ft.

He smiled down at his sister before picking her up as he sat down at the table.

Some of the younger campers were just happy he was there while some of the older campers were a little nervous.

The camp had stopped watching the scene mostly.

The Apollo table was still quite quiet when Will cleared his throat and said," I am sorry about yesterday guys. I - um - you guys didn't deserve that." He stumbled through his 'very prepared' speech.

His siblings all sort of looked at him in shock and confusion when Austin spoke up," We thought you just needed a break and we are fine with that. We were just worried when you didn't come home last night."

Will suddenly got very flustered as he tried to explain but Kayla put in," He was out with Nico all night in the woods."

All his siblings teased him relentlessly until they had infirmary shifts and activities to get to.

Nico could tell Percy and Jason were planning something but he couldn't have the energy. He was also just a little excited about the campfire.

After breakfast, Nico went to train when he saw Ms. O'Leary.

She saw him and bound towards him. She started licking him all over making him take a bath in her slobber until he got up quickly after.

He got to get a shield and played fetch with Ms. O'leary before Piper came running to say," Will!"

She ran to get Nico. Will had disappeared.

He went to go to the infirmary but when Kayla came to change shifts he wasn't there. It was very unlike Will to leave the infirmary unattended with no one.

As soon as Piper said Will, Nico was running after her.

As they were running to the main area Nico asked," How?"

"We don't know," She replied.

They got to the main area when Nico stalked off to the hearth.

Piper was a little confused when she saw Nico talking to Hestia.

He gave Hestia a quick smile before coming back to Piper.

"We need to leave camp now," Nico said in a commanding voice

Piper had to jog to keep up with him,' What about the others?"

"No time."

Piper was a little nervous but she did want to be better friends with Nico so maybe going on an unauthorized quest to save his best friend would be a good bonding activity.

Will was in the infirmary getting set up for his shift when it went black, no warning no nothing, just black.

He woke up in a room.

He started to feel around as he couldn't see. It was pitch black and the room seemed to be a 2 by 2 square room, the floor seemed to be concrete. Will couldn't find a door, and if there was a window there would be a little light or at least he could feel it.

After a while feeling around he found a small lip that was probably the door.

He was using feelings around to not panic, he was starting to panic, he shouldn't panic he got this. But he wasn't a fighter he was just a healer!

He started to feel woozy, and claustrophobic.

No, he will not puke, that would be awful to sit in, and it wasn't even that small he got this he just needs to find a way out.

He stood up on the ground trying not to pass out looking for a way out.

That stupid idiot just had to go and get himself kidnapped.

Nico and Piper got outside the camp and started looking around.

"Where to start?" Piper asked.

Nico hesitated but saw a truck coming down the road and had a gut feeling. "We are going to follow that truck!"

Nico was concerted for his own sanity at that point but Piper came with him so that had to count for something, right?

They followed the truck hiding in the brush near the road to not be seen.

They followed the truck for over 20 minutes of Pear Sprint stop sprint stop when the truck pulled into a path through some woods.

They followed slowly making sure not to make a sound when some guy got out of the truck.

"Did you get him?"

There was an answer from around the corner," Yes, of course, he is in the containment."

Nico looked at Piper and nodded. They both extended their senses Piper looking for emotions and Nico for life.

After about 5 minutes they had a lead.

They went off into the woods the opposite way of the 2 people following their senses.

They came across many small sheds but none radiating anything.

After about 30 minutes Nico could tell Piper was tiring, frankly, he was as well but he had to find Will.

That was when there was a bright flash from a shed in the distance with a surge of close to death and fear.

They both sprinted towards it hoping Will would be alright and that he wouldn't try to use the last of his life force to save someone, again.

They got to the shed. He could feel Will's life force depleting.

He busted open the door, and Nico wondered how they even got Will through it.

Will was deathly pale and his life force was decreasing rapidly.

He and Piper moved in deathly silence as they pulled him out of the shed.

Nico didn't bring anything to help.

He looked at Piper and said," Hold on." Will was going to kill him but he shadow-traveled Piper Will and himself back to camp.

Nico felt like he was going to pass out, but he had to hold out for Will.

Piper and he raced Will to the infirmary. When they got there Kayla saw them and immediately opened the door using them to a cot.

Kayla worked relentlessly trying to get Will's life force up Austin had come to but he wasn't much help in the infirmary.

Nico had started pacing at some point before Kayla said," Di Angelo I suggest you take your pacing elsewhere or sit the heck down!"

Nico flushed and sat down twisting his ring.

Kayla looked like she was going to pass out when she was done," He is stabilized I need to sit down." She collapsed onto a cot.

Nico chuckled a little and made sure the infirmary was in order, he'd begun to know how it was run.

When he was done he sat in the chair by Will's cot and looked outside. He could faintly see the campfire, maybe another time he thought.

At some point, he had dozed off.

He woke to Kayla setting down food on the counter. She glanced over and said," Your neck probably feels awful after sleeping in that chair."

He smiled slightly as Kayla brought him a plate of toast and strawberries. "I don't know what you would want so I just got you what you had yesterday."

Nico smiled at Kayla," Thank you."

Kayla gave him a small smile," No problem, you're practically family."

Nico flushed at that thought, If Kayla thought he was practically family what did Will think?

The day went by slowly with Nico tending to Will and helping where he could in the infirmary.

It was almost dinner when Will started to stir.

"Wh-what?" Will said very confused.

Nico didn't know if he wanted to kill or kiss him.

"Will you be at the infirmary when you get kidnapped?"

"That's a lot to process," Will joked.

"How did you get kidnapped?" he asked Will in a worried tone if they could come back.

"Wow, you really just went for it. Well, I don't exactly know if it just went black." Will said.

Nico sighed," Okay, but letting you know Chiron will probably question you later."

Will seemed to feel his stress because he grabbed his forearm and said," Thank you, Nico."

He got very flustered and said," I did nothing, it was all Kayla."

Will smiled and said," Either way you found me and you were here."

Will looked outside and said," Maybe we could go to the campfire sometime."

"Together," Nico asked.

Will laughed," Of course."

Nico smiled," Yeah I would like that. Do you want me to get you any food or something?"

Will thought for a second before saying," I'll take some water."

"Okay, I'll be right back," He said and went to the infirmary office for the water glass for Will.

As Nico left to get water he looked around the infirmary. There were no other patients. But he saw Kayla was sleeping on the cot next to him.

She whimpered in her sleep. Will knew what was happening, he quickly got up and went over to her.

He crouched down beside her whispering reassurance. She was having the same nightmare of the war with Micheal and Lee.

"Kayla, please wake up. You got this." She gasped awake and clung to Will sobbing into his sleeve, clinging like he was her only life support.

Nico came back from the office with water and walked into Kayla sobbing into Will's shoulder.

Nico didn't know exactly what to do so he left the water on the counter and went out the back door.

He headed to the Hades cabin roof.

He stayed there looking at the different stars and constellations, Hercules, the hunter, etc..

He was there for a while before he went inside his cabin. He lay awake for hours unable to sleep. What happened to Kayla? Is she okay? He better not overwork himself! Were the thoughts going through his head?

He never slept that night: But, the next morning Will came knocking.
"Sunshine, you in there?"

"Yeah," He called out.

Will opened the door and came to him," Why did you miss breakfast?"

His eyes went wide," It's past breakfast?"

Will nodded," Yeah, I came to see if you were okay."

Nico nodded," Yeah, I am all good."

Will smiled and said," I have to get to the infirmary but I will see you at the campfire."

Nico smiled blushing," Yeah, sounds great."

As soon as Will shut the cabin door Nico squealed into his pillow

He must have gotten lost in squealing because Jason came into the Hades cabin.

"Dude, where have you been?"

Nico instantly turned red.

"Who is it?" Jason said immediately catching on

Nico groaned," It's nothing, it's no one, we're just friends."

" I never said any name, you just admitted that all by yourself."

Nico groaned again," Meanie."

Jason laughed," So what happened?"

Nico was bright red as he described that he was going to the campfire with Will, Will Solace.

Jason smirked and said," I think you are going to be in need of a makeover. Good thing I know just the person."

"No. Absolutely not. I am completely fine without makeup Grace!" Nico said stubbornly.

Jason grinned like a maniac," I will be back."

With that, he had run out of the cabin on his way to go get Piper for this spectacular makeover that would be happening.

Jason came back 3 minutes later with his girlfriend Piper following with a massive pink bag.

She smirked," So I hear you are in need of a makeover."

Nico groaned, flopping back on his bed.

Piper laughed and headed to his closet; Jason guarded the door in case he tried to escape as if he couldn't shadow travel.

Piper was flipping through his shirts before she pulled out something he didn't even realize he had, a dark green T-shirt.

She chucked it at him saying," Try that on and come back out for some pants."

He considered shadow traveling away as he got to the bathroom, but thought against it as he didn't need an angry Will Solace on his case.

He put the shirt on and headed back out.

Piper looked at him and squealed," It's perfect," And chucked a pair of jeans at him.

As he was walking back to the bathroom he said," You like chucking things don't you?"

Piper just laughed as he closed the door.

Nico looked at the pants, they were ripped black jeans. He sighed, Piper was really going all in with his grunge aesthetic.

He put the pants out and walked into the room.

Piper turned at him and smirked," Perfect! Hair time!"

She practically shoved him onto his bed by Jason who was just watching amused.

"Are you not going to help me?! Your girlfriend is harassing me." Nico said glaring at Jason.

He just laughed," Now why would I do that."

Nico glared at him more as Piper did whatever to his hair. Making Nico Almost forget that Will had got Kidnapped-Almost.

Will was at the infirmary but it was quite slow so he was catching up on some paperwork. Technically this shift was supposed to be Kaylas but Will forced her to take the day off.

His thoughts started to wander that night. He has a date! Well not a date, but he is hanging out with Nico! And his siblings promised not to be super stupid about it but he knew he was going to get teased relentlessly that night.

He was really excited to go to the campfire with Nico, he will need something to wear! He couldn't just go in flip-flops!

That was when Kayla came in holding a passed-out girl, he got straight to work.

The girl looked about 4 years old. She had dark brown hair with lighter streaks. She had a massive stab wound in her heart. Will knew logically he couldn't save her, but he poured all his healing and power into her.

After a few minutes Kayla was yelling at him to stop, he couldn't, he needed to save her, he couldn't fail not again.

He doesn't know how long but sometime later he saw Nico in his blurred vision come over and kick the living daylights out of him.

Will was working himself to death. She went to get Nico. As they got back he went to Will, she thought to tell him to stop and talk to him, but no he kicked him in the head.

She normally would scold Nico but instead, she grabbed Will and brought him to a cot.

Nico met her at the cot with the sunlamp all set up.

There was a sound from the little girl Nico grimaced," I will make sure she has a safe passage."

Kayla grimaced as well but said," Try to tell her to do rebirth, she is too young to die."

Nico smiled slightly," Will do." With that he vanished as the girl stopped making noise and she heard a beeping fill the infirmary.

Kayla grimaced again but got back to setting Will up.

She now understood why Nico kicked Will, he was so close to death that he probably was shaking hands with Thanatos.

She got him all setup and radioed Chiron, she needed to have a proper shroud.

As Chiron entered the infirmary, a pomegranate appeared over the little girl's head.

Chiron and Kaylas' eyes went wide.

Nico felt the girl fade as he shadow traveled to the reception where Charon was.

He scared the guy as he fell out of his chair dropping his book.

Charon was about to say something but the little girl appeared with a pomegranate over her head.

Both of their eyes went wide.

"You don't think," Charon started.

"I don't think I know." He responded.

This girl was Persephone's daughter.

The little girl walked towards them, she had a pink skirt on with a blue tank top that was soaked in dry blood.

Nico gave Charon a look and squatted down to talk to the girl," Hi what's your name?" He did not know how to interact with kids.

The girl smiled," I am Bailey."

Nico gave her a smile," Well Bailey I am Nico and I get to lead you to a good place."

That was when Hades and Persephone appeared beside him.

He would expect Hades to be angry but instead smiled softly.

"I see you have met Bailey, she died so young, rebirth would be a good choice but she might want to wait a few years if she chooses that path."

Nico raised an eyebrow at Hades, how was he not mad at Persephone?

Hades chuckled as he read his thoughts," Well I couldn't claim her as it would spark lots of problems but she isn't Persephone's.'

That made him even more confused.

"She is a very special soul that I care for quite a lot." Hades said with a soft smile.

Nico looked at the little girl and back at his father," You mean?"

Hades nodded and Nico looked like he was going to cry.

Hades then added on to say," That was her 2nd rebirth, she will be going to the Isle of the Blest."

Nico smiled and crouched down to be at his sister's reincarnation," You are going to remember everything soon, I love you so much I will see you at some point, hopefully not too soon though."

Hades chuckled at that and told him," You might want to get going, your friend will be waking up soon."

Nico nodded as Hades added," You might want to keep an eye on him, he was literally shaking hands with Thanatos."

"Thank you, dad," He said as he disappeared into the shadows.

Chiron brought the girl to the big house and told the campers to make a shroud.

As he left Kayla sighed, another one down. She cursed under breath turning back to Will, " You stupid self-sacrificing idiot. I hate you so much."

She wanted to smack him upside the head but considering Nico had already kicked him she didn't want to make his concussion worse.

She was checking his blood pressure one more time. Before she started to fill out his paperwork.

Problems - Stupid Self-sacrificing idiot, concussion due to a kick to the head for being an idiot and almost dying, almost dying from powers.
Treatment - On sunlamp until further notice no healing until after cleared by Kayla Knowles. Take walks after waking. Always have a sunlamp.
Notes - Especially no ambrosia on an empty stomach. Nico Di Angelo is willing to knock out from overworking.

She was finishing the notes when Nico appeared in the middle of the room passing out.

Kayla groaned, muttering as she dragged Nico to the cot next to Will's, just so she could keep an eye on them easier.

She grabbed another sun globe, maybe they should invest in getting better quality ones if they were going to be used so often, she would ask Chiron- maybe Apollo would donate some.'

Kayla was used to Nico in the infirmary as a patient of passing out. His shadow traveled too much again, Will was going to be pissed but he had no ground to stand on either, there both hypocrites Kayla decided.

She got Nico's sunlamp set up and started more paperwork.

Kayla sighed and looked outside. It was getting dark almost dinner time.

She groaned Austin was taking over tomorrow.

She was about to go get dinner when Nico stirred.

She suppressed a sigh and walked over," What do you want for dinner?"

Nico was still disoriented and mumbled out," Thing with that are like yellow with um- little boats- that are almost like tube things but curved."

She smiled in amusement," Come right up."

She went off to get Nico some mac and cheese and her some pizza.

She came back from the dining pavilion to pick now sitting in his bed staring at Will.

She smirked and cleared her throat, Nico looked at her flushing, taking the mac and cheese," Thanks, Kayla."

She smiled and responded," No problem, I have some paperwork to catch up on in the office. Could you tell me if Will needs anything?"

Nico nodded as his mouth was filled with mac and cheese.

Kayla chuckled to herself as she went to the office.

He was eating mac and cheese as Kayla left the room.

As he sat on the cot eating mac and cheese his mind started to wonder, Who exactly kidnapped Will and why, was it Gaea's leftover forces, why Will exactly, are they targeting demigods, what exactly were they going to do, who were in the other sheds. His conclusion was to get a search team out there to take care of the guys and hopefully save any people that could be there, and not be too late.

Nico didn't know how long he was thinking but Will started to wake.

He knew he would only call Kayla in if he needed someone to talk some smarts into Will. Which he could do so she wouldn't likely be called.

Swung his legs over the side of his cot towards Will as he looked around.

Nico scowled as Will's eyes met his," You idiot you almost died!"

Will looked anywhere but Nico.

"Will you look at me," Nico asked in a softer voice.

Will had sat up and was still refusing to look at him.

"Will," Nico pleaded.

Will looked towards him, he looked very pale and shaky.

"I-I'm sorry," Will said to him in a shaky voice as if trying not to cry.

Nico slightly hit his shin as he looked away again," Don't say that just please don't kill yourself healing someone, you deserve to live."

Will's eyes were watering," I-I lost her," His voice cracked.

Nico gave him a smile," It's okay Will she is doing more than good at the moment.

Will lighten slightly at that," She chose rebirth?"

Nico winced," Not exactly."

Will looked very confused at that but let him continue.

"She has made it to the Isle of the Blest."

Will looked happy but still sad," She's happy though, right?"

Nico smiled again," Yeah she is a very special soul." He worded his words very carefully not wanting to dig into the mess with his sister.

Will quickly got distracted off the topic when he said," Why are you in the infirmary? What happened?"

He smiled sheepishly," I shadow traveled and collapsed, all good and yes I am fine Kayla took care of you and me."

Will looked at him," If I can't die from my powers you aren't allowed to die from your powers. Pinky promise."

He held out his pinky and Nico shook it, feeling a seriousness to the childish vow.

Will scowled at the sunlamp lap but decided to ignore it before saying," How long have you been here?"

Nico twisted his ring," I don't really know less than 24 hours I think."

Will nodded. "Do you need sleep?"

Nico scoffed," I slept all day. I am good and you are not allowed to be in doctor mode."

Will rolled his eyes looking at his clipboard and groaned," But I need to take care of the infirmary and cabin and-"

"Wil, Kayla, and Austin got it and your other siblings are really sweet and can tell when someone is stressed so they couldn't mess them up that bad."

Will flushed a little looking embarrassed," I know that but what if then I am not needed and they just see me as I abandoned them."

Nico gave him a small look before saying," Taking a break to heal from shaking hands with Thanatos does not mean you are abandoning people, okay?"

Will didn't seem to agree but nodded anyway.

It was nice of Nico to try and cheer him up from the little girl but he could have saved her. He knew he could.

As if reading his thoughts, " The only way you could save her is by dying and I won't allow you to do that."

Will mutely nodded, believing Nico wouldn't let him, but he was so close.

Nico sighed but thankfully let the subject drop.

" So what have you been doing?" He asked him.

Nico laughed a little," I was sleeping then eating then you woke up and I have been talking to you."

"Oh yeah " Will immediately felt embarrassed flushing to the tips of his ears.

Nico smiled.

They sat in science for a while, a very awkward silence before he said," Do you remember me?"

Nico looked at him with confusion.

Will became very red as he said," Never mind it-it doesn't matter."

Nico glared at him," Well don't get my hopes up to let them down."

Will became flustered again," I um I asked, do you remember me- from when you first came to camp?"

Nico thought for a moment before asking," Do you remember me?"

Will's tips of his ears became as red as a pomegranate, " Yeah, um, you were obsessed with Mytho magic, and wouldn't stop talking about it."

It was Nico's turn to fluster as he scrambled to defend himself," I was ten, I was a little hyper."

Nico was still sputtering when Will laughed," You talked Conner's ear off."

Nico's eyes widened," So someone was stalking me!"

Will quirked his head confused.

Nico's blush raised quickly on his pale skin," I heard a noise when I was ranting to Conner and brushed it off. It was you?"

Will was still neon red as he said," Well there was no one I didn't know and you looked cool." He put his hands out in defense.

Nico laughed falling back on his bed," Me-cool, at age 10, I acted like everything was put at 5x speed and full brightness."

Will smiled," Yeah you were quite cherry."

Nico's eyes widened," You were the guy that only wore yellow pants and flip flops that ran around saying some quotes!"

Will was laughing trying to compose himself as he said," Well those were amazing quotes, and they weren't just some quotes. They were Star Wars quotes!"

Nico snorted, both of them falling back laughing.

They talked for a while until they both fell asleep.

He walked into the infirmary the next day after he heard what happened, he hoped Will was handling this alright, and that Nico didn't kill himself helping the girl travel.

He opened the door to find Kayla Knowles (Will's sister) walking around.

She turned towards the door smiling," Nico is really good for Will."

Jason was a little confused until she gestured to the 2 cots being used.

Nico and Will both had slight smiles in their sleep and their cots had been scratched a little bit closer than they had been- which honestly was only like 2 inches, but why did both have an arm off their cots toward each other?

He smiled at the sight before turning back to Kayla," So what's the verdict doc?"

"Sunlight and human interaction for both, I think they will keep each other accountable because if they don't want to care about themselves get them someone who is the same and they care about each other," Kayla said she looked as if she was suppressing an eye roll from the doc comment.

Jason nodded following the logic.

Jason didn't really know what to say in response until he spontaneously asked," Do you need any help at the infirmary or anything?"

Kayla gave him a knowing smile," I got this, as you got the battlefield I can take my own. Go eat breakfast."

That could have sounded mean but Kayla knew he would know what she was saying- please just leave me alone I got this, just because I am young doesn't mean I don't know how to do anything, this is my house, I got this. He wasn't too considered as she was second best in the infirmary but still nowhere near Will.

He turned to walk out the door but not before saying, "If you ever need any help you know where to find me."

Kayla snorted as he walked out the door.

He made his way to the pavilion to eat with Piper, Percy, and Annabeth.

As he got to the table Piper asked," What's got you in such a good mood?"

He smiled," Nico has got some really good friends."

Annabeth smiled, nodding in agreement.

Nico woke up from his sleep to Will falling off his cot.

Nico snorted as Will said," I forgot there was no railing."

Nico's mind slightly wondered," Did that mean Will had a top bunk? O is he just that clumsy he needs a railing on the bottom bunk as well. His thoughts were interrupted.

Kayla walked over at that moment and rolled her eyes," Will you need to be careful you don't want to risk another concussion."

Will raise an eyebrow getting off the ground," Another?"

"Nico kicked you to get you to not die," Will glanced at him who had been trying to hide behind his hair glowing bright red.

Before another stupid conversation began," You both need to be outside, doing activities or healing, and be in the sun all day. Come back here at 8, if you go to the campfire after that grab a sunlamp."

Will and he glanced at each other knowing this was the best outcome that was available, so they both nodded.

They were free for the whole day except they couldn't do any activities and had to interact with people all day! Will counts as people Nico thought.

They both started to get up, Nico having energy in the morning for some reason when Kayla yelled out," Go and eat food-breakfast no hotdogs are not breakfast food, 3 meals today please!"

Nico and him ran out of the infernary so fast. He tried not to let it show exactly how hesitant he was leaving the infirmary in Kayla's hands, but she would do great.

They got to the dining pavilion and to the Apollo cabin table. Nico could only sit there because of a very real doctor's note, but Chiron let it slide.

Will got a little confused when she said hotdogs weren't breakfast until he looked over at the Hermes cabin and Conner was eating hotdogs for breakfast.

Nico got toast and slices of cheese.

He looked at him raising his eyebrow " Why? Just why?"

Nico had turned a slight shade of pink but Will didn't notice.

"It tastes good on toast He said in his defense.

Will laughed as Nico turned red.

They ate food and he participated in a very mature argument about French fries with Nico watching until he butted in.

" McDonald's is the best. Change my mind."

Austin looked outraged," I think that means you haven't had Chick-fil-A!"

Will groaned they had gotten Chick-fil-A after the battle of Manhattan, and Austin was obsessed.

Nico cocked his eyebrow," That was the one that was curly?"

Will's little sister Gracie looked exasperated," That was Arby!"

Nico looked like his brain was going to explode," I give up, I can't remember any fries!"

Will laughed, about to say he had to go to the infirmary but remember it was his day off.

After some more stupid arguments, Will asked," What are you planning to do today?"

Austin's reply was drowned out by Chiron.

"Half-bloods, half-bloods. I have some news for you," Everyone tensed at this. Chiron noticed and added," Don't worry it's good. There will be no sparring today! As the arena had. A little accident," He said the last part looking over at an embarrassed Jason Grace and a proud Percy.

Lots of the campers didn't find that as 'good news' but it was better than another war.

After breakfast Nico and Will went on a walk.

"So what should we do today?" Nico asked him.

Will thought," Swimming?"

Nico looked down slightly," Sure."

Will thought he was hiding something but ignored it.

They continued until the Apollo cabin

Smiling Will called out to Nico," I'll meet you at your cabin."

Nico got to his cabin and went to look for swim trunks.

He found some black ones in his drawer when Will knocked on his door.

Nico was scrambling to put his trunks on," One moment."

He could hear Will chuckle-that bastard.

Nico hurried out the door grabbing flip-flops on his way out.

He tripped out the door and into Will's arms.

He flushed, "S-sorry."

"Nah, it's all good," Will told him with a smile.

When they got to the beach Will ripped off his shirt and jumped in.

Nico slowly took off his shirt and left in fall to the sand before tentatively stepping to the shallow end of the lake.

Will swam over," You gonna come out deeper or stay here?"

Nico looked embarrassed thinking he should have come when he said," I never learned how."

"How what?" Will asked him.

"Swim."

Will smiled softly," I'll help you."

Nico gave him a smile, doubting he could help.

After a while, Will was saying," Then you just got to kick!"

Nico failed miserably. Will had to save him at least 7 times, That was embarrassing, to say the least

Will kept helping him until it started to get dark.

They pulled themselves onto the shore.

"We may have missed lunch." Nico pointed out laying on his back unable to feel his back.

Will laughed," Just maybe."

They lay there complaining how their legs didn't work until they heard the dinner bell.

They got up and grabbed their stuff.

Nico and Will headed to their separate cabins to get changed and met back at the pavilion.

Nico was greeted with an argument about worms.

"They are snakes!"

"No, they aren't, they don't have scales!"

This went on for about the entire dinner.

Austin had taken over the infirmary at some point as Kayla joined them for dinner.

Kayla was complaining about how she just sat there all day alone and couldn't even grab her book because the stolls were messing with Katie again.

"They kept playing [ranks that if it went wrong, boom, gone, by Katie."

They chatted some more until they had to go to their cabins.

As Nico shut his door he wondered what he did to deserve such amazing friends.
