Nico wasn't used to having the stupidly handsome son of Apollo's wake him up at 7 am. Nico has forgotten the date completely it was January 28th. His birthday. But Nico has forgotten since he never had anyone to celebrate since Bianca died, and he didn't like thinking about her since it brought back the memories of him find out she died, which lead to hating Percy, which lead to loving Percy. So he had blocked this day out of his mind, he hadn't even realized it was and different than the day before. At 7in the morning Will came into his room to wake him up.

"Wake up death boy! Rise and shine!" Will yelled cheerfully hitting Nico over the head with one of his own black pillows.

"Shut up solace! Let me sleep" Nico groaned into his pillow

"No can do di Angelo, percy needs you help with something on the beach," Will explained

"Why on the beach?" Nico asked

"He's the son of Poseidon, why do you think?" Will laughed

"Fine," Nico groaned and got up slowly, "just get out so I can change"

"Yep, see ya later Death boy!" Will walked out of Nicos cabin, closing the door behind him.
Nico got changed and headed down towards the beach, he began to worry if Percy or any of the rest of the seven were in danger? What if the whole camp was?

As he approached the beach he saw a black tent and everything was quiet. He walked and looked around for Percy but he couldn't find him. So he decided to look in the tent for Percy. When he walked in the tent he not only saw percy, but the rest of the seven, and Will, and Reyna. Nico was confused, Frank, Reyna and Hazel weren't supposed to be at camp half blood, they had left a couple months before.

"Happy Birthday Nico!" They all screamed. Nico was shocked. Nobody had ever remembered his birthday, beck even he forgot it.

"W-who?" Nico began to ask

"It was wills idea, he knew your birthday and wanted to do something special," Hazel explained smiling. Nico couldn't believe this, his best friend, and crush threw him a surprise party,

"Uh... t-thanks" Nico stuttered. No one seemed to notice that he was nervous, except Jason that is. Jason pulled Nico aside.

"Tell him Nico, now is the perfect time, there's no wars, it's your birthday and you're celebrating! Who knows when another chance like this will come," Jason encouraged Nico

"I'll tell him if you shut up" Nico groaned and turned around towards will.

Oh gods

Nico started to sweat, he turned back around to Jason who gave him a thumbs up, Nico started walking towards Will who was messing around with the cake with piper. piper left when Jason gave her a signal to,

Time to be humiliated

"Hey neeks, enjoying your party?" Will asked

"Yeah actually there... uh-" Nico started to blush, he noticed that when he smiled he wrinkled his eyes, and how every single freckle was a different shade. And how his golden locks bounced when he laughed.

"Neeks?" Will asked "you there?" Will snapped Nico out of his trance.

"Uh- what? Yeah! I was just um, t- thinking" Nico responded

Why am I so awkward

"About?" Will asked

" okay I'm just going to say it, Will I really like you and I think you adorable, and cute, and handsome, and ...hot gods damnit" Nico blushed a looked to the floor

"Nico i love you too,"

They kept getting closer And closer until they're lips touched, and the forgot about being watched by the 7 and Reyna and they only remembered when they heated cheers erupt from the crowd
