I don't know why. But I've always liked the sunset more than the sunrise. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's because I feel like the sunrise is the beginning, and the sunset is the end. To me, it symbolizes what we are when we start our lives in the world. As nothing. A blank slate. But as we grow older, we get stronger. We develop opinions and relationships, a personality. It is both beautiful and sad to watch the sun go down. But it's so much more beautiful to me, because it means that we have made something out of ourselves. No sunrise is exactly the same. Nothing ever is. Nobody stays the same either. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing, is it?
