Anirudh and Bondita's story can never end. It is eternal, and it is a tale which can be told through lifetimes, over and over again, without exhaustion, without limitations, and without any barriers of even time and space. 

That time, their lives were cut short, and now they have reincarnated into present day India, with new hopes buried deep inside them, just waiting to emerge.

She was yet again, forced to go to the temple, when she didn't believe in a God nor a Goddess. 

"Pray to Durga Maa," her aunt insisted, and Bondita just stared lifelessly at the idol in front of her. 

It was a statue, a piece of rock. That was it. How could that be God? How could that respond to her? Alas... little did she know at this point, that there was more to the story than what she thought. 

"I don't know what to do with this girl," her aunt said to her daughter -- Bondita's cousin. Her aunt shook her head slowly at the defiant nature of her niece. "We need to marry her off quickly." 

Bondita looked away from the idol, a sinking feeling somewhere in the depths of her heart. It was almost like she recognized a connection with her Durga Maa, somewhere from another life, another world. 

It was like there was more to this idol than her mind believed existed, and in there, lay the truth, the truth to a past with many secrets, and a deep love buried inside her heart. 

"No. After everything was snatched away from me, I don't believe in faith, and I never will! You are just a stone. A stone," Bondita whispered intensely to the idol in front of her, somehow feeling an urge to cry as she said this. "I don't believe in you, nor will I ever!"

He was not in the mood today, when his younger brother rammed his toy car into his ankle. 

"Stop it!" he bellowed, glaring at the eight year old boy. 

"Sorry Dada," the child apologized and took his car away to another room. 

"Anirudh, don't yell at your brother," his mother said, shaking her head at his constant outbursts. 

"My stepbrother," Anirudh said darkly. 

"He's still your brother, Anirudh," his mother said. "Anyways, your dad has asked me about whether we should start looking for matches for your wedding. Do you already have someone in mind?" 

Anirudh nearly laughed at such an idea. 

"Why would I have someone in mind?" he asked. 

"Love, Anirudh. Have you fallen in love with anyone?" 

Anirudh laughed sarcastically. 

"Love? After you divorced twice, do you think I would believe in such a thing?" Anirudh asked angrily. "I don't believe in love, and I never will!"

Two souls who descended onto this plane -- one doesn't believe in faith, and the other one doesn't believe in love, when these were the two things that were most dear to them in their past. 

How will they find one other, have faith in, and love each other again? 

Will they remember their past lives, and the connection they have to each other? 

What mysteries from their past lives remain to be unfolded? Are those mysteries connected to their present? What further mysteries does this tale hold?

A/N (please read): This was an idea that had been on my mind for a while, and many of you also requested a present day story of Anidita. 

It's a tale of reincarnation, and yes they are named Anirudh and Bondita again... and there is a reason for that, which will be explained later on! There are many mysteries in this story, and things will be unraveled as the chapters progress -- it's about to be an exciting ride!

About updates, this will not get daily updates, as most of my energy and time will still remain for My Destination, My Bondita. This is just a side project, so please be patient.
