the car:

sunsets and car rides,
soft kisses and navy skies...

a lazy holiday for jungkook; eating, watching movies and scrolling through socials is all he has done today.

he had now slammed his phone on the bed with frustration. even social media seemed boring to him and his boyfriend had to be busy on such a bland day.

suddenly, his phone dinged with a text message notification. jungkook huffed and decided to ghost whoever it was texting him. but then he got a call from his boyfriend; now he missed him too much to not pick up.

"taetae! what're you doing? i'm so bored!" jungkook whined with pout the second he picked up the phone.

"maybe, if you look outside, you'd not be bored." taehyung chuckled.

jungkook gave off an annoying look but then widened his eyes when he realised that he had heard taehyung's voice from outside.

he quickly ran to the balcony and looked down to see a taehyung smiling cheekily. the older male was leaning on a 60's style ford, motioning him to come down to him.

jungkook was confused about the car yet excited that his boyfriend was finally here. he almost stumbled down the stairs, but then didn't care and ran out breathlessly to taehyung.

"how did you get this car?" jungkook asked, still catching his breath. taehyung pouted, he had come all the way from daegu to see his boyfriend and the first thing he does is ask about the car.

"maybe if you say 'hello taetae, i love you' and give me a kiss, i could tell you about it." taehyung said, imitating the younger's voice as he looking down at the shorter male with his arms crossed.

jungkook sighed at the childishness and said,
"hello taehyungie, i love you so much!" and got on his tippy toes, cupped the older's cheeks and gave the lips a loving kiss.

"i love you too, darling. and the car was in dad's shop. some rich guy had given it for repairing and dad asked me to test drive it, but i came here." taehyung sheepishly chuckled, rubbing the back of his nape.

"now get in, we're going somewhere." he continued, opening the door for the younger male.

"but where are we going?" jungkook asked, seating himself on the seat, slightly bouncing on it.

"hmm, you don't like surprises and would be grumpy all along if i don't tell where we're heading..." taehyung paused to glance at the younger male. with a chuckle, he continued,

"we're going to the beach."

jungkook smiled wide with the mention of the beach. he had always loved it; the warm sand and the calming sound of the ocean waves, the feeling of the water splashing his legs and mainly, the sky. the sky looked prettier at the beach, especially while sunset. the thought of how it would be decorated with the saturated colours made him content.

taehyung drives with a moderate speed with no rush. the FM radio was on and the RJ's voice beamed through it. soon music was played through the radio and both the males hummed along to it.

jungkook leaned on the door and had his hair blown backwards by the wind. he inhaled deep and sighed out being satisfied. the sun was already setting and light orange colour spread across the sky.

taehyung's left elbow lay lazily on the door and the other had a firm grip on the steering wheel. his mouth kept syncing to the song while his eyes occasionally looked up at the sky. he turned to glance at the younger one and sighed happily at the sight of the bunny smile adorning his face.

soon enough they reached the beach. jungkook ran off so quickly out of the car that taehyung too had to run.

"wait for me koo." taehyung giggled as he grabbed the younger by his arm and turned him around. he quickly gave a peck and walked off to the sand.

jungkook stood there, blinking his eyes while blushing hard. he loved it when the older kisses him out of no where. it could just be a peck but that would be enough to the smaller male to squeal.

snapping out of his daze, jungkook walked towards his boyfriend with a wide smile. he hugged the male from behind and rested his chin on his shoulder.

after a while of standing like that, they sat down on the sand and stared at the ocean. the waves started from a distance and thrashed on the sand, then retreated slowly. the beach being quite empty, the sounds of the ocean wave resonated very well.

the sun went down gradually and created a pretty gradient of reds. from light pink to saturated red, blue and purple dusted here and there; the sky looked pleasing, making the males feel happy and even safe in a way.

"taetae-ah," jungkook called, turning to look at the older male. the said one looked back with a smile, humming to continue.

"thank you for this." he said, pressing soft kisses on his boyfriend's neck. taehyung giggled at the ticklish feeling.

"i love you sweetheart." taehyung lovingly smiled, leaning in for a sweet kiss. after pecking the pretty pink lips multiple times, and teasing the younger a bit, he finally captured the soft bottom lip into the kiss. pulling out of the kiss, they both smiled with love, hands getting interlocked in the process.

short yet sweet; kisses like these were their favourite. and such small gestures of love made them feel giddy, made their cheeks dust with pink. sometimes, such little things are all you need in love.
